Possibly the most enjoyable review of this guitar yet. Loved the Gilmouresque moments in the intro jam.

Great review! I've had mine for a few months and it's the only strat I've personally been able to really bond with. The sustainer is like a wild horse, it has a life of its own and when you tame it into a sound and experience to your liking, it feels extremely rewarding.

I’ve just joined a band called born2win,and this would be so cool ,unfortunately I don’t have the cash for this atm,but it’s definitely on my list in the near future.great video by the way.

Are you still digging this Strat, Andrew? I'm seriously thinking of pulling the trigger on this bad lad.

Excellent video. You can tell how much you enjoyed making this video. Actually demonstrated the different tones really well, better than many of the other reviews.
I have just ordered one of these guitars after two years of lusting. Saw this video after I placed the order and I am looking forward to playing it even more than I was already.
    Thanks for sharing!

As others have said…excellent job explaining the features of this guitar and actually showcasing what it can do besides just running through random blues licks.

So incredible we live in a time where a beautiful thing like this exists. I'm a synth guy, can't play guitar, but man, if I ever buy one, this'll be it.

Excellent review. I absolutely love mine, it'd be one of the last that I'd ever get rid of. It takes some tweaking to get it just right, but once its dialed in this thing is a beast.

Could you explain more about the comment at 16:13? So even though the sustainer is built in to the neck pickup, only the bridge pickup works when the sustainer is on? What happens if you switch to positions 2-5 with the sustainer on, does any sound come out of the guitar or does it just stay on the bridge no matter what position the switch is in?

    • @claudiomarino2919
      @claudiomarino2919 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

the second one you said! when you activate the sustainer, no matter in which position you are, you will have the bridge pickup alone. so even if you are in second position, third, fourth ect, when you engage the sus, it will automatically bring you to the bridge. i don't know why you can't have the sustainer on the sound of the middle pickup for exemple, but you can't.
i'm a big fan of this guitar though. :D

Would definitely have its place in a Pink Floyd album 😎 also, great sounds man!

I recently bought one of these. Beautiful. Needed a fair bit of adjustments out of the box, including to the trim pots on the circuitry as the output on the sustainer was too weak. I find the blend position for the sustainer is pretty much useless.
Other than that I love this axe, and find it easy to get lost in. Some people don’t like the neck profile, I’ve got massive hands so it’s perfect for me.
I wish there was a source where I could learn how to really get the most out it, rather than just applying my own knowledge base.
Anyone care to shout out which songs/artists this strat would cover well?? Fire away! (For reference I run mine through a helix floor using studio monitors, otherwise I use a Marshall silver jubilee)

First reviewer I’ve seen that didn’t like the jb jr humbucker. Each to their own, but that’s the best bridge pickup I’ve had on a strat.

So much better than the Premier Guitar demo- that dude kept playing like it was some kinda country pickin' funky riffin' guitar and not the ambient fog machine of overwhelming sound it is meant to be.

Yeah idk I always think its intersting to see its versatility but would like to see that and it's main focus on a 30 min review rather than watch five, ten minute ones

Great video. Sadly watching this is what made me realise the unit I purchased only a week ago is faulty so had to send it back 😢 Hoping the replacement works properly so I can experiment with some awesome sounds 🎸 Until then, it’s e-bow time….
