    My breakthrough yesterday was actually speeding up my rotations and making smaller jumps, plus really listening/concentrating on the rhythm. I can do a lot more jumps without tripping now. Still keeping it to 3-4 minutes because it’s more intense that way and I’ve only just started.

    Excellent video! So important to keep working on the basics well beyond the beginner stage. My story: It isn’t only one hand/arm higher than the other that can cause trips. Last winter I started noticing that my right hand/arm would slowly drift a little bit forward, like I was wanting to reach out and shake someone’s hand, causing me to miss when I hadn’t before. I discovered the cause was my right hip drifting forward. Many hours of hip strengthening exercises later, I’ve almost completely corrected the problem. But it’s interesting how body mechanics interrelate with jump rope form, and how we need to be constantly monitoring our form.

    i hate that side swing thing. What's the point when the rope doesn't pass under my feet?

    • @Jump15official
      @Jump15official  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They get your upper body much more involved, raising your heart rate faster. Side swings are fantastic for tying combos together, boosting workout intensity, further developing coordination, and enhancing footwork to name a few.
      Embrace them, you'll be glad you did and you can add them as much as you want.

    Amazing stuff, I didn't realize how advanced this exercise had become. Thanks for making this video.
    One question, why does my rope keep hitting me in the back of my head?

    • @Jump15official
      @Jump15official  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      🤘
      It could be a number of things. Pay attention to where your hands are during jumping and see if they drift lower. You can also video yourself and use slow motion to help identify the cause. If you get it on video feel free to DM me on IG @jump15_official so I can take a look👍

    I tried few times but i cant coordinate at all, i feel like jumping higher as higher jumping trying to swing fast or something this kind of stuff. But mostly feeling like i need to jump high

      What kind of rope are you using? A rope with more weight in the rope can really help

    • @Doom.Keeper
      @Doom.Keeper 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just something standart, maybe will try heavier, but probably need to practice more. Thanks

      @@Doom.Keeper I would start with something like a 6mm PVC rope because it is cheap. Elite Jumps is a solid brand👍

    Good video. But people shouldn't stress that about tripping. Just take the hit and continue with the session.

    Somehow I was against using a mirror, cause in my gym there wasn't any, I moved to a new one (gym) and, surprisingly! I stopped tripping in continuous Xcrosses. Mirrors help heaps

      A mirror played a big part in my ability to grow in skills quickly. It provides immediate real time feedback to break thru errors/bad habits.

    Kyle, I enjoy your videos and find them informative and helpful. Saw the video contrasting styles that mentioned Rushi, Mayweather, and Buddy Lee. I like your style. I started with a 9’6” Crossrope, then went to 9’. Now I put a knot in it. I am 6’3” with 34” pants inseam. Wondering about your height, inseam and crossrope length? Thanks!

    • @Jump15official
      @Jump15official  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm 5'10" probably around a 30-31"inseam and use a size small and knot it most of the time. If you want to work your size down grab the Crossrope LE Freestyle Rope which you can cut length. Then you can grab replacement ropes as needed for the regular system.
      If you're within the window, you can exchange those as well.
      I know people who are 6'5" that use a medium. It all comes down to form and technique.
      Keep at it Brian!🤜🤙
