I am Turkish. Kangal dogs are not monsters. You can be friends when you don't pose a threat to his space. It is a very calm dog that does not attack children or other dogs. But never try to pose a threat to a Kangal. Then even the owner can't save you. A pitbull or presa canario thinks they are a dog until they come face to face with a Kangal. When Kangal is angry, he is not afraid of anything and you will never see a Kangal with its neck bowed to the ground. They are fearless heroes.

We own a Malakli female, a Boz male, and a Presa female (she ended up a dwarf). Our Malakli will put them all in place if she needs to. Our Presa has attacked her but it’s been sneak attacks and the last time she was put in her place. I hope she learned from it.

Buddy this dog is part of the Anatolian shepherd dogs family and this one is boz type , most of the people don't understand and dont know that ( including many Turks) not every Anatolian shepherd dogs are kangal , pure blood kangal dogs don't get heavier than 150Lbs ( say max 170lbs) but in the other hand boz type dogs just like what you see in this clip and Aksaray malaklı dogs grow up to 250lbs and some of them are reaching up 300lbs , it means these dogs are as big ass lioness,

My friend I’ve Imported over 100 Turkish dogs Kangal included within the last 12 years from Turkey I’m very familiar and have more experience than most. I chose Malakli for its trainability Kangal Anatolian Shepherd and Boz which I won’t get into the politics about that dog are just for livestock. Malakli is a estate guardian that can do livestock work. Big difference. There’s more usage for a versatile dog then just a livestock dog my friend here in the United States and most western civilizations including Europe.

I have a male, he's heavier than the vet scale is able to read, sweetest beast I've ever met amazing with kids especially little ones. Also he's so big other dogs just run so no dog fights thus far!

No it’s not my friend Anatolian shepherd simply means mix of the shepherd dogs used in that region and it can be any mix. That’s why none of the Anatolians look The same because each region has its own Shepherd dogs being used.
If this scares you, then mate you would've pissed your pants after seeing what I and the others had back in the town. I don't know the breed but they're related to the Tibetan mastiff. Only that they are huge. Mine was 6 feet in length when it layed down under my bed and had a whopping diet. I remember him bring a leopard in it's mouth once. He was my best friend. Still miss him a lot.

They're found in the northern hills of India, an area which is a natural reserve for tigers. People have to have these dogs to protect themselves in that region. I stole 1 pup when I was young and brought it back with me. Maybe if you Google them you'll find something. Edit- it's called the Himalayan sheep dog.
@Big Wooo I had it myself and happened to me. Leopard aren't that strong when compared to them. The Tigers are the only ones who kill the dogs in the town or the elephants. The leopards don't even come close bec of them.

I agree, and I have a Kalgan! However, Kangals are supposed to be able to run long distances chasing off predators. This dog likely won’t be able to keep up so this extra size is not helpful. I guess if wolves were built like this dog, this would make sense. This dog is in my opinion, a dog that would protect you from other big dogs, including Kangals.

I have heard some people say anatolians are the strongest breed in the world, but the evidence from feats of strength dogs can be seen doing and the dogs that perform the best in strength sports shows that is not true. This video most definitely does not provide any evidence to show they are the strongest. One of the most measured and accurate forms of testing strength in dogs is something called weight pulling where dogs are used to pull something. The most weight I have seen an anatolian pull is a very large tire. I have never seen an anatolian able to pull as much weight as breeds more impressive and popular in strength sports like American Pitbulls pulling over 12,000 pounds in videos like *COLDRIVERKENNELS - " VERSACE EDITION"- PULLING 12,170LBS & SETTING A NEW UKC RECORD! *

If that were true that mass equaled strength, labs (a breed that is also larger than the American Pitbull) would be stronger than American Pitbulls. Also, could you explain why even though the breeds you mentioned are much larger, they are not able to be seen pulling as much weight as Pitbulls in weight pulling videos despite also being used for weight pulling? For example, the most weight a kangal can be seen pulling is 9,000 pound when one pulled a tractor. Meanwhile, there are Pitbulls pulling 12,000 pounds and even more.

No my friend just because you are Turkish does not mean the information you share is right my friend. Malakli originated in Mesopotamia migrated to Turkey with the shepherd men. These dogs are still in those areas of Iraq and Iran Today the originals my friend. And yes Anatolian shepherd means mix of the shepherd dog used in that region and it can be any mix. They’re all regional dogs bred for purpose.

No it’s not my friend Anatolian shepherd simply means mix of the shepherd dogs used in that region and it can be any mix. That’s why none of the Anatolians look The same because each region has its own Shepherd dogs being used.

Only that they are huge. Mine was 6 feet in length when it layed down under my bed and had a whopping diet. I remember him bring a leopard in it's mouth once. He was my best friend. Still miss him a lot.

They're found in the northern hills of India, an area which is a natural reserve for tigers. People have to have these dogs to protect themselves in that region. I stole 1 pup when I was young and brought it back with me. Maybe if you Google them you'll find something.

@Big Wooo I had it myself and happened to me. Leopard aren't that strong when compared to them. The Tigers are the only ones who kill the dogs in the town or the elephants. The leopards don't even come close bec of them.

I agree, and I have a Kalgan! However, Kangals are supposed to be able to run long distances chasing off predators. This dog likely won’t be able to keep up so this extra size is not helpful. I guess if wolves were built like this dog, this would make sense. This dog is in my opinion, a dog that would protect you from other big dogs, including Kangals.

I have heard some people say anatolians are the strongest breed in the world, but the evidence from feats of strength dogs can be seen doing and the dogs that perform the best in strength sports shows that is not true. This video most definitely does not provide any evidence to show they are the strongest. One of the most measured and accurate forms of testing strength in dogs is something called weight pulling where dogs are used to pull something. The most weight I have seen an anatolian pull is a very large tire. I have never seen an anatolian able to pull as much weight as breeds more impressive and popular in strength sports like American Pitbulls pulling over 12,000 pounds in videos like *COLDRIVERKENNELS - " VERSACE EDITION"- PULLING 12,170LBS & SETTING A NEW UKC RECORD!

If that were true that mass equaled strength, labs (a breed that is also larger than the American Pitbull) would be stronger than American Pitbulls. Also, could you explain why even though the breeds you mentioned are much larger, they are not able to be seen pulling as much weight as Pitbulls in weight pulling videos despite also being used for weight pulling? For example, the most weight a kangal can be seen pulling is 9,000 pound when one pulled a tractor. Meanwhile, there are Pitbulls pulling 12,000 pounds and even more.

Which breed is most often used to rival against something breathing? It's the American Pitbull. It's a game dog. These dogs are still in those areas of Iraq and Iran Today the originals my friend. And yes Anatolian shepherd means mix of the shepherd dog used in that region and it can be any mix. They’re all regional dogs bred for purpose.
