Yes at least Paul X has done it on TH-cam. But yes, I understand about breaking new ground, I grew up on a farm, guess that's how I got all the fix it stuff in my brain. On a farm you fix everything as you are aware.
Beautiful work Dale. Truly remarkable result. I use the same technique when single pointing inch based threads on the metric lathe. It turned out perfect. Best wishes, Dean.
Hi Dale. Thanks for making such a great video. It was really interesting, and I think you took as much care making the video as you did making the part. I learned what a half nut is and what a spring pass meant with the aid of Google! It's great to see what can be achieved with some thought and good skills on the tools! I'm currently restoring a 1974 AMF Harley Davidson SX175 and a Suzuki TS250ER 🙂 Cheers, Dave (from Wiltshire in the UK)
Hi Dave, and thank you very much, sounds like you have a couple good projects going there. Yes, sir google is a life saver to me also. Lots of jargon out there that makes no sense unless you work in that particular field. Good luck with your projects and thanks for spending time with me in the shop.
Miracles like this amaze me. I think publishing these first thing in the morning catches you at about 4 pm in the afternoon in sunny England. Glad to see you here Dean, Thanks!
Wonderful work Dale. It turned out perfectly. A true artisan.
Cheers,
Peter.
Thanks Peter, you too kind sir.
I'll bet that job has never been done before. Breaking new ground as us farmers say. Great job Dale.
