The scene where he pulls the table cloth and nothing moves, that was all improvised in that moment when nothing fell off the table. Jim Carrey is hilarious 😂

So Jim Carrey decided to improvise and went back to push everything out

I love the way Jim Carrey sang the iconic song "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch" while adding his own comedic elements to it like the hilarious sound effects. And his freak out when the sleigh takes off. "We're going to die!! We're going to die!! I'm going to throw up, and then I'm going to die!! Mommy, tell it to stop!!"also I really love how the actress who played Cindy Lou, Taylor Momsen went on to be the front woman and lead singer of a band called The Pretty Reckless. also, I can sympathize with the Grinch, having been a victim of bullying growing up. I know the feeling of not liking people because of it.
Have you heard his version of I Am the Walrus? (Yes, I mean by The Beatles.) His performance is very fun! Should still be on TH-cam somewhere.

The old classic cartoon from years ago is quite awesome. show Lora that, she might like it haha. Nice reaction ladies. Btw, they live on a snowflake. Narrated by the legendary actor Anthony Hopkins.

One of my favorite Christmas movies and this movie introduced me to Jim Carrey as actor and his funny comedy and since than i became fan of his movies.

New Years and Valentines Day are difficult days for me to get in the spirit because of past experiences. And it's harder to have new good experiences when past pain is intruding on the current moment. Sometimes people can compound it and make it worse. But sometimes you need that one person who can help you get through that to take the power out of bad memories. Hope everyone can find that way forward.
Fun fact: The earrings Martha wears during the Whobilation are the ones from the broken angel the Grinch made her.

And did you know that during that "directing scene" Jim Carrey was mimicking director Ron Howard to the point of actually stealing his hat as a joke? Howard loved it so much, he left it in the final cut of the movie.
There is so many amazing things about this movie... Well, as an American of 53 years, I was pretty much brought up on Dr. Seuss. In this film we have Ron Howard directing (who played Opie Taylor in the classic sitcom, The Andy Griffith Show), and Ron's brother, Clint Howard, playing the mayor's lackey. Then you got Jeffery Tambor as the mayor, Christine Baranski (whom you might know as Leonard's mother from The Big Bang Theory). And there's the under-celebrated Bill Irwin, as Cindy Lou's dad... And then there's Cindy Lou Who... Taylor Momsen, the lead vocalist/songwriter of the modern rock band, Pretty Reckless
Ron was also a main character on the hit series Happy Days.
To really appreciate Jim Carrey's capturing of the Grinch, and the oddball appearances of the Whos of Whoville, you'd have to see the original animated special from 1966. That one is only 26 mins long.
The songs and the Seuss prose is all as memorable as the Grinch himself.

You may wanna check out the 2009 Disney animated feature of A Christmas Carol, where Jim Carrey does the voice of Scrooge.
It's a great accompaniment to this movie.
Jim Carrey also does a really in voicing for "Horton hears a who"
this was one of the movies i didn't like when i first saw it but it does grow on you overtime. especially when you seperate the cartoon version to this version and what they were doing with the move to a live action itteration and the comedy moments and story moments.

Have you ever seen the original PEANUTS cartoon 'A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS'? It's fairly short and an old school cartoon, but has a wonderful, meaningful, and heart warming story.
I belong to a classic Volkswagen Club and we have an annual holiday parade where all the VW clubs in our area get together with decorated cars and tour the areas with the most decorated houses. He have had convoys of 80 cars, all decorated and lit up, touring the streets, rain or not. People, especially children, come running out of their houses to see us. I have a 1972 Beetle with a roof rack wrapped in green garland, red and silver tinsel, and lights. In the middle is a stuffed Charlie Brown, dancing Snoopy, and Woodstock, all standing in front of the skinny tree from the cartoon.
Narrated by the great Anthony Hopkins.
Even though I grew up with the cartoon, this one is still pretty funny and keeps the good message. It definitely is sometimes hard to remember through all the commercialism. 5:15 I don't know if Bulgaria has anything like Jury Duty, but that always felt personal 😄 Nice matching outfits, and hope you both have a good Christmas.

What makes me sad about this movie is that how did the Grinch got Max. If we considered that the who's throw all their presents onto the Grinch's mountain, it would mean that Max was someone's present which was thrown away and reached Grinch's place.

Jim Carrey is one of my favorite actors and this is one of my favorite Christmas movies. And for the record, I prefer children's stories like this and Winnie the Pooh not being horror movies.

first of all he has only one hidden easter egg in there and that is the director's hat and then of course i just really do already know the director ron's family right in that set during the film with jim carrey and taylor momsen with kelley and of course bill irwin so does molly shannon ah yes including jeffrey tambor and christine baranski from eloise at the plaza/christmastime and also deep roy from charlie and the chocolate factory, and hopefully in november 20th they'll have a 20th anniversary.
Cindy Lou grew up to be Jenny Humphrey in Gossip Girl, then she formed a band called The Pretty Reckless.

Aww, Trixy's not that bad - she's actually hilarious at times - I like her a lot. I really enjoyed the two Home Alone reactions, probably more than any other reaction from either one of them, cos the three of them were having so much fun laughing and joking and whatnot.
Maybe I am a little biased cos my favorite gals were gathered in a single video (except for Viki - gotta get her in on this and complete the quartet!), but I thought their banter was the whole point of a REACTION video. I mean, if you are so focused on the movie, then go watch it yourself without the "chatterboxes", lol. I'll admit sometimes they all talk at once and I miss what they're saying, or they miss a moment in the movie I wanna seem them react to, but it's no big deal. I'm limited to just seeing these edited cuts of the reaction so certain parts get snipped anyway, lol.
I'm mostly here for them, not so much the movie - cripes, I sat through that god-awful Kung-Fu Hustle or whatever it's called, JUST cos Magy, Viki, and Lora were all in the video, lol. If Trixy were in it too, I'd have been giddy. Those 4 are what I call my "Reaction Dream Team" (which I collectively call "Blue Magic", taken from Trixy and Magy's channel names).
So yeah, it's less about the movie for me, more about the reaction/reactor (especially in the case of these ladies and their reactions). Since I've usually seen the movie in most cases anyway, it's a secondary priority for me. I enjoy their reactions - whether they're swelling up over the happy stuff, crying their eyes out over the sad stuff, or screaming and shrieking over the scary/jump-scare stuff (I love those, lol) - I love it all, and I adore these gals.
I know how that sound,s but I assure you I AM NO SIMP, okay? But I'm also not some macho dickhead too proud to admit when such charming and lovely ladies manage to breach my cynical and dour defenses and "get to me". Their personalities resonate with me in ways most other women do not and can not. And they're all hot to boot. That combination is rare.
Anyway, to each their own.

this is probably one of my mom's favorite movies (mine included) she even took me to the theaters with her when it first came out and i was only a 1 year old at the time. there's not a year that goes by where we don't watch the grinch, she/we would watch it several times throughout the year as well so when i say i practically know this whole movie by heart i am dead serious. when i'm watching it with others i have to contain myself from quoting everything just out of habit but when i'm watching it alone i will reenact the whole thing😅🙈
