Trying to sneak through three different massive robot battles on all sides of me has become one of my favorite video game experiences. I like this game a lot more than I thought I would
My buddy recommended this game and I was a bit hesitant to play, but my goodness the game is amazing! I've only run into one graphical glitch in a warboard base, but other than that this game is very well put together!
I only wish that you could move while selecting a different item from the wheel, if they did that id have no problem with it I'd just need to get used to it
Well once it’s fixed (movement) it’s definitely much more adaptable.. I use it for defense, being able to have different options for different scenarios. I’ve started getting used to it, but I do hope for a rework. Like keeping health kits on dpad, etc.
I can't get use to the wheel at all, so much so I had a tantrum and deleted the game. I knew what I was doing before, but this bloody wheel thing has completely thrown me I can't get used to it
On PC at least, I always used the number keys anyway, now with the weapon wheel I can bind whatever equipment I want to whatever key I want, so I can theoretically run 3 different machine guns and a rifle plus meds, 2 different types of nades and flares all at once, for instance. I'd imagine not being able to move while having the wheel up would be quite annoying, but I don't use the wheel anyway.
The Russian and fnix machines killing each other feels like 2 machine factions at war Also I managed to take the head armour on the wolf off with 1 experimental pvg90 shot Btw the Black smoke coming out of the Russian machines... Is that diesel? I've never seen a diesel powered robot before.
If you destroy rhe head piece before it transforms into combat mode the wolf can't use its mini gun then destroying its rocket pods an gas dispenser then the wolf is unable to attack you basically giving you a pet machine
@@demo488 I mean... Occasionally I've found 5c gear in ammo boxes, but that's probably even more random than killing tanks, to be honest. At least if you already have the 6c KVM, killing tanks is going to be significantly easier than if you didn't.
I've been finding Wolves with mortar launchers rather than rocket pots. They deploy mines like the Apocalypse class tank but they are linked together by lasers....... EDIT..... wait til end of vid before commenting 🤣 The Grenade launchers on the Lynx are nasty.
I think someone fucked up. They complete ruined the flow of combat. Before I’d have to dodge rocket barrages but now we have fucking heatseeking tripmine attacks. Nearly everything is instant kill. The flow of combat where you just had to press y or what ever to get either primary and your secondary then have for quick and easy buttons to press to get your first aid kits. Now you have to completely fucking full stop all combat go through a fucking a fucking scroll wheel for everything, and you can only switch to 2 things. You’ll end up in situations like this: Oh no I need a first aid kit let me go to the scroll wheel and get attacked and killed and use an adrenaline. Now that I have that I need to go back and then get my gun because the old system was fine before. I still love the game and the new robots but most of their attacks almost killing me every time. The break of combat flow. Everything like that. It just hurts.
@@takenking2925 it’s not that simple. Before every robot had play arounds and things like that. Now I hear the whistle and I’m already blown up. There is next to no time to dodge on console. The missile’s are still easy but they have a warning. Before the weapons and attacks made some sense. Now it’s just: Electricity with massive shock radius that takes half your health away, and they will spam it every second Instant homing tripmine that will always land on you and make the same noise as literally any other projectile. Like there is next to no warning for taking on Russian robots on console. You hear a noise that sounds like copy paste of most other robot noises that are the most important things to dodge. The flame thrower noise the lenix makes will appear when it’s attacking so you literally have no time to react. Every Linux I have fought had at least 20 of them. That’s not a joke and they spam that grenade attack that is: guess what? Also a pain in the ass to dodge because it makes a whistle less than a second before it explodes. And the weapon wheel that is literally terrible on console. It takes so long to do anything because it’s manual and you can’t just press buttons like on PC.
@@takenking2925 The damage literally outmatches the use of healing now tho, that's a huge problem especially since the need to heal or prep was built around an entirely different combat system. Now (as everyone else has pointed out) you have to stop mid battle just to switch out weapons or meds which isn't a problem if it were any other game, but G Zero was based around fast paced movement for both players and AI where you have to move in a moments notice tp avoid damage especially from barrage attacks. They did update it so the Top, the Left, The Right, and the bottom (slots 1, 7, 3, and 5) can be Quick swapped by hitting the corresponding face button (top is Y left is X, you can solve the rest) with the weapon wheel out. For example let’s have your medkit on Slot 5, and your primary is slot 1 and secondary is slot 3 You can get shot end up with low HP you can quickly open weapon wheel hit a to pull out your Healing items and well heal then open it again hit B to launch the RPG you have in slot 3

the era bricks on the soldier class wolfs is a really cool touch, but honestly i think they need a buff, where they not made to combat the other machines, then they should not loose almost all engagements.
I would imagine the Wolf and Lynx are the first response. Rushed, quickly thrown together bots just to have something on the field to begin fighting back while more advanced things are developed.

We definitely need some new items to play around with and loot, not just weapons. Ohh yeah I know what you mean, that's the wolf healing himself and nearby machines !
The "hologram" is healing nanites that causes fear in swedish machines and enrages russian machines, but does no damage to the player. Also, lynx class machines will toy with you by side rolling until eventually getting bored and firing some shots through your head
They don't last long at all. Had 2 fights with the reaper today and both times a squad or two turned up, they died pretty fast. Was cool tho, they took a bit of pressure away from me 😁
They die too quickly. Not seen a scrap yet where the Soviet machines have won. They definitely need a boost, I think the Reaper would just annihilate them.
