@@potatorequiem727 touhou 6 can be pretty wonky with recording a lot of the times. Otherwise I agree, though the resolution STILL may have issues in some of the earlier games.
32th System I used the final ones that you actually have to survive in order to clear the game. That's what's usually defined to be final, LS is "bonus".
@@MaribelHearn *proceeds to reply to 2 year old comment* for kaguya's final spells, you must survive at least 1 or 2 spells, or you get the bad ending still, even if you fail all of them, you clear the game
Which one would you consider harder? "Virtue of Wind God" or Pure Sign "A Pristine Danmaku Hell"? Also, here's a sugestion, in case you ever update this video: For fighting game final bosses, you can try including the shmup versions of their Last Spells. For example, Suika's last spell gets remade in StB.
Nothing even comes close to matching the difficulty of PDH. That card easily stands in its own tier above any others. I'm not planning to update the video with other games since it simply features the main game final spells.
Wouldn’t Eirin’s and Kaguya’s final spell(s) be “Hourai Elixir” and the “Imperishable Night’s End,” if you’re going to make Yuyuko’s final spell “Reflowering?” I’m aware of the description, but it’s a bit weird because the other two are not as epic as “Reflowering.”
Erik Emerölduson Last Spell is something else. It's an IN thing and you cannot compare it to resurrection butterfly, which is the final. LS are essentially bonus attacks that come after the final.
Yes they do. You cannot use resources during the spells. If you die, the spell /ends/ and no life is removed from your life count. These are unique properties that Last Spells have are not present anywhere else, and thus "special"; you do not have to survive the spells to beat the game. To clarify, the part of the fight before an LS is called the "mainfight" in the community, that might help make it clearer to you why the final spells of that are referred to as "final" in the community, and the LSs are called, well, that. (Yes, the way "final" is defined in this video does also reflect what the gameplay community uses in practice.)
You forgot Cherry Blossom Sign "Perfect Ink-Black Cherry Blossom -Bloom-" Resurrection Butterfly isn't a final spell but a revival spell : a timeout spell after the main battle where a different music plays, and like I said, it's seperate from the actual main boss battle. If you wanted to include it, then you should've done so about Hourai Elixir and the five End of Imperishable Night spells since they're also revival spells. Oh yeah, did you notice Miko's last spell is different on Spell Practice than in Game Mode ? Did you do an Extra Boss Final Spell compilation btw ?
Resurrection counts because you have to ACTUALLY survive it since your life isn't NULLIFIED... You still die if you get hit, if you know what I'm saying
None of these are what the game calls "Last Spells", specially since that is a mechanic exclusive to IN. These are the spells which mark the last obstacle toward clearing the game, known as final spells to avoid confusion. All* follow the same pattern of having a very long lifebar not drained by bombs and getting progressively harder as it drains and/or enough time passes. *Yuyuko has a spell like this, but Resurrection Butterfly, which comes right after, is still required to win the game.

What about capturing all Extra Final Spells?
Maribel Hearn and what about now do you think that okina's spring final spell can match difficulty with pdh ?
bit late but spring final might be on the same level as PDH, summer final a tad bit lower, and winter/autumn are relatively usual difficulty
The first one I could do if it didn't have those balls so close
How are you doing with Okina there? I heard her Spring Final is harder than Junko's Final
