I was taught how to circle priority zones, but I definitely didn't know you should circle the first stop in a zone by itself, then include that in the next circle for the rest of the area. I used to circle every stop, but if stops are condensed now I usually just circle areas since I know my route now. The priority zones definitely help with staging!
@@shadowk4718 I like to use them at times. On my out of town routes, especially when not going as manifest is set up. Set my flow so hopefully next stops pop up on their own. Sometimes just click and go though more so when doing an in town route. Idk to each their own I guess, I do use it though
@@jediwookie9240 I seee I just starded about a month ago but I don’t got this version I got to login to FedEx one and the manifest pops up with colors lol
@@shadowk4718 guess I'm not sure what you're talking about, only been here 7 months myself. Learning you're city layout helps a lot, how the rds are laid out, the numbering system. Pay attention to the layout of the maps, be able to correlate it to what you're looking at, and use the tool you have available, ground cloud is a great tool for me, but not to be completely relied on, it will mess you up at times. Most of my instances it's not helped me is on new rds, or sometimes addresses are on smaller rds next to main hwys and it doesn't seem to recognize that. You'll learn more the more you go, hope it falls in line for you. Be present in your drive.
So while you’re zoning the all the streets are a white color, unlike when you first pulled it up and they were colored black. All of my black lines disappeared today and they’re only white which is hard to see. How do I get the black lines back?
I believe it will. That keeps happening to me. Like, if I have just done a stop in a neighborhood, then decide to make a right turn and go get this one stop in a little cul de sac ... 99 times out of 100 that was out of order, so I did stop 20, let's say, as the groundcloud had it ordered, then went on to stop 27 or whatnot. Now it will automatically jump to 28 and leave behind 21-26. In theory, this is "easy to remember" to just go back and do the ones you skipped, but then I usually always find *another* one stop that I veer off and grab real quick ... long story short, it can spiral out of control. The guy who trained me I believe does not do ANY stop ordering at all. So - when he looks at the myDrive map, all he sees are all the dots. Then he zoomed into an area and chose his route for that one area. I am pretty sure he routed one neighborhhod in about ten seconds, AND remembered how he did it all the while; so he was honestly an excellent route runner. I am not as good as that and have no problem admitting it. Yet I did learn from him and I try to emulate him, all the while with the groundcloud's auto-routing system over-riding everything I do. So yeah, I need to iron out some details if I want to stick with FedEx, to be honest. It is a good kind of challenge, though. I am up for it. I do enjoy delivery driving. And if I can't adapt to Fedex?? Oh well, I will just stick with Amazon. (Wayyyy easier job!)
This is the single most helpful advice for being a good fedex driver besides how to load a rental

If I hit a delivery stop in my zone but is not the order, will it mess my route?
