You forgot two important points. Some of the cover is destructible and those that aren't, the robots hop over. Secondly, the scoring system penalizes the player for using cover too much. So Vanquish is the cover shooter that doesn't want you to take cover.
Incredible game and still the best 3rd person shooter. I finished it once on PS3 back in the days, but replaying it on PC with gyro aiming is just something else Great video as usual pariah I missed this one somehow, was focusing on your Sonic series
People were playing this game completely wrong back in the day because the got conditioned by other "cover shooters" even tho vanquish is a hybrid movement/cover shooter. There are alot of secret tricks that the game don't tell you about like animation cancels, how to boost faster, quickswap combos ect. The better the player is at the game the crazier it looks.
I will probably cover almost every Platinum game eventually. I've yet to play Astral Chain, but I have it. When I get around to it there will definitely be a video.

How does it penalize you? I’m playing the game, and it doesn’t seem to do that.

I'd love to see you talk about more of PlatinumGames'... games. Anarchy Reigns, Astral Chain, Madworld I guess even though it's really repetitive

Vanquish is so boring. Gears of War, Max Payne 2&3 and Resident Evil 4 are way Better than Vanquish.
