1:22 "proper full on propane " is 130psi afaik, it's just your basic green gas. great video, keep it up, you're up there when it comes to reliable and informed gbb content.
Hi there, propane is approximately 15 psi higher than regular green gas at 125psi for propane, depending on brand and 109 - 111 psi for green gas. Hope that helps
@@MiddleAgeGameruk ok, i believe our disagreement comes from the fact that "green gas" is used for lots of slightly different gas mixes between 120-135psi ~, depending on the manufacturer. Compared to weaker "green gases", propane would indeed fare slightly better. I assumed with the way you stated it that to you, propane was kind "red gas" levels of higher pressure, my bad
@@MiddleAgeGameruk Green Gas is propane. Anything that's lower than 130psi has additives in it, either in silicone - no thanks - or more commonly butane. You can find all this info on SDS. In the UK it makes most sense to run ASG Brown in our so-called 'Summers', and ASG 164 (Orange) in the cooler months, or 178 (Red) as we approach freezing.
@@NitroHasGame That's just because Nuprol and Vorsk gases are shit. Proper higher power gas mixes will be noticeably different and contain a percentage of substances such as Difluoromethan to up the pressure a bit.
I was not expecting a follow up video, every single point made in the video is spot on! Krytac has been a let down in terms of aftermarket support and even getting spare parts out, even after other guys contacted them from discord Krytac seems to have moved on lol We know a few guys still waiting on getting replacement gas router rubbers. There also seems to be quite a few lemons out there too so quality control hasn't been great. - the cam rails do need polishing - the upper buffer stop needs trimming down by 2mm to improve returning the bolt to battery (aftermarket buffer stops can be bought too) - the TDC hop up has only 10 increments of adjustment so you either get no hop or over hop & nothing in between (updated hop up dial can be bought now) - & all the other recommendations regarding polishing I have done all the mods and I have to say I also installed the hephaestus piston and it is worth every penny, I can mag dump full auto everytime now with basic green gas! I am having alot of fun with mine and I will be looking at polishing those guide rails as a next step but otherwise touch wood it's been quite reliable and hasn't let me down in game even with rapid fire semi shots 😁
@@jamesoldfield1977 I use punches that are correct diameter to remove those pins and just went to town with a hammer lol. I forgot what size punch it was.
That "click" dead trigger ive found is where the nozzle isnt all the way forward. check your barrel bucking and hopup fitment. The design of the hopup chamber lets the bucking sit back a tiny bit if not careful causing the dead trigger click. mine doesnt do that at all even with very gently releasing the bolt. Ive done all the same mods as per explosive enterprises video plus the laylax hopup dial running propane cycling like a dream!
I’ve recently got a vector and as someone that loves to tinker I knew this would be a project, As of which I have both a new piston head on route and the bow master slider set on the way, I’ll let you know what I think of the slider. Just so your aware the BM slider has got cutouts but I’m 99% sure they’re not for the piston rollers I think they still seat on top as with oem. But with the slider being cnc it should have a much better friction amount if I remember I’ll try let you know :)
Hi there, I look forward to an update after you have tested them, I did say in the video that the BM recoil rail cuts are just for display, they are just simulated as the design of the krytac blowback system means they will ride on top. My main hope is that the plates are made of a better quality steal than krytac.
@@MiddleAgeGameruk fingers crossed, they should be! How have you found yours for accuracy? Mine is okay for cqb but I like the ability to reach as far as possible, consistency is a tad questionable atm for mine but I’ve got some ideas in the shopping basket 😅 this project is possibly my second dearest idea sadly 😂😂
@@MiddleAgeGameruk so the slide kit arrived yesterday, I like the nozzle valve, the actual slider I’m not so sure tbh. Recoil isn’t really increased return is slightly snappier but I’m actually finding issues with the bolt locking on final round. I can only assume due to the stiffer spring I even tried trimming the stoppers to allow more than enough travel I’m going to look at putting the normal spring on at which point the only real advantage is the fact they’re hardened machine slider surfaces For the price honestly I’d look at the recoil enhancement kit instead tbh
Hi there, the main improvement is to the cycling rate and cold weather function. The piston head in gbbrs is not what effects the fps, that is, the rocket valve inside the nozzle. Fitting this upgrade has improved the cold weather performance and reduced cooldown.
Hi there, I did not include an fps reading due to the fact that with gbbrs, it's not the piston head that affects the fps. It's the rocket valve in the nozzle. As the valve was not changed, there was no effect there. This piston head was about efficiency and reliability more than fps.
@@MiddleAgeGameruk Appreciate the response and information. I do intend to get a gbb vector but held off for the moment due to the time of the year. But you have clearly demonstrated an increase in gas efficiency. Great video!
I've heard the slider assembly by Bow Master is kinda meh but I do need a good review on it (hopefully by you) to judge it properly. The nozzle return spring that comes with it appears to be really good and an improvement on the stock one. But to by the assembly for 110 or something like that just to get the spring is insane.
Hi there, it is expensive just for the return spring. The current stock nozzle spring is ok. If anything, the main idea for the bow master recoil guidrod would be for smoother cycling. The kriss vector has way too much friction in the system that is unnecessary and only there for cost cutting reasons. If krytac gave the vector another year of development and actually sent it out early enough to test in cooler climates, it would have been a winner for sure.
@@MiddleAgeGameruk yup definitely agree with that! But still curious for an in depth review about it by someone. I own a Vector GBB myself aswell (as first replica, mistakes were made), the bolt gets stuck a lot of times and I thought many times it was my fault being not really experienced with the platform, but now I can definitely say it’s not totally my fault, I’ll do everything in my power to make it work eventually. I just love it too much haha Thank you for the review btw, love your work 🙏🏽
