Passing the FNP test is when you study hard, if you can’t study or you don’t have time for your studies I’d advise you get yourself a help like Mr James

@@zaa6811 thanks for asking. I passed the AANP exam! The Leik book definitely helped a lot. I used various study tools but I feel Leik was the most helpful of all. The exam was fair, not as difficult as I anticipated. Obviously you have to go in prepared and confident to take the exam but I was so worried the exam would be extremely difficult. Some questions were challenging while others were very straight forward. Thank you Ahmed for making this video and for recommending Leik. While studying I was getting nervous that I wasn’t prepared enough but after watching his video, I felt better!

YOu can't do that in Florida (ANCC)--they will not accept certification testing until final grades are posted. I would not study for boards until the final test is done.
Hi Ahmed, new subie here, so you mean after passing boards, they will hold your AANP or ANCC certificate until the transcripts are received? So after my clinical and school exams I can go ahead and register plus sit for boards? Don’t they need other school documents apart from transcripts?
Yes, you can go ahead and register for the exam and take it once you're done with clinical and exams. They may require a most recent transcript to make sure you are in your last semester. But I recommend reaching out to AANP in your last semester and ask when is the soonest you can sit for boards.

FNP can work ER. There is an emergency nurse practitioner certification but it has not become a requirement yet. I'll be posting a video about this soon

Are live review courses specific for the ANCC or AANP exam? like should i choose a review course depending on which test I would like to take? Or do they prepare you for both?
Hello, our roles overlap in a lot of aspects. Many jobs we do the same exact thing. Biggest difference is a PA has a more borad training and thus can work in almost any field of medicine with additional certifications but usually with a supervising/collaborating physician. NPs are more specialized in their training and are more limited to their certification. In general we do a lot of the same thing but there are different types of NPs depending on the specialty. Some physician groups are always trying to limit NP authority but in many states NPs have full practice authority and that number continues to grow.

Either way, the live review is pretty comprehensive. Provides you with a good foundation and then you can self study to focus on areas you need more time reviewing.

Hi Phoenix, I took my boards in 2018 and used the 3rd edition. I can't imagine a lot has changed, but im not sure.
