    Great, you spread some methodology to improve. I always asked myself how to do such an efficient study. I study 20% moves in 5 days. So far I see that the majority of moves on stocks I investigated until now start when 10 and 20 day EMA are tight together. Great stuff you are sharing.

    Thanks for this great video! I had an issue making this plot to show data, and after a while i figured out what the issue was. I come from a country where we have comma (,) as a decimal divider and that was also my active setting in Windows. TC2000 apparently uses some Windows API do to math, because 1.2 was converted to 12, 1.20 was converted to 120 and so on. I could not use comma in TC2000 because it is not a valid character so the only workaround was change my Windows settings to use dot (.) instead of comma (,) as a decimal divider.

    Thanks a lot for excellent videos on Breakout trading and deep dive exercise. I plan to perform a deep dive as soon as possible to really understand the concept and behavior of stocks. I have a few questions. What resolution in time do you need when performing the deep dive? Is it enough with daily resolution or should you go down to 1h or even higher resolution than that? By using resolution down to 1min, then you can learn a lot regarding the behavior exactly when the stock actually breaks out and the near time after that.
    I got TC2000 Gold a few weeks ago and I am trying to learn how it works and what you can do with it but what I can see is that when you are looking at 1min resolution you will only reach a few days. Do you know if it is possible to choose a specific timeframe in 1min resolution?

    Great video again Pradeep!
    I have been doing a deep dive on breakouts and have always wondered about one thing:
    Do you do something specifically to avoid bias? Such as looking at instances that looked good but reversed and did not follow through. I'm asking since with this approach we will be looking at all those that worked out.

    • @Stockbeevideos
      @Stockbeevideos  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @utica2burn 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@Stockbeevideos but when you do something like filter for a 20% move within 5 days, you'll find those that did that and see how they started etc
      What I mean is: what do you do to study moves that start in the same way but stop before 20% - to offset the selection/hindsight bias

    • @utica2burn
      @utica2burn 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I hope my question makes sense because I’m very interested in hearing your opinion about this exact matter

    • @ishanchaturvedi5674
      @ishanchaturvedi5674 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@utica2burn I think once you have found the conditions for stocks that made the move, you can create a new scan with these conditions (or most of these conditions). This will give you the stocks which made or did not make the move despite having these winning conditions. Then you can see ho many made the move and how many did not make the move, where you could have put a stop-loss etc. This way you can make sure that you have a positive expectancy from this setup. It will also prevent a selection bias since you are not only studying the winners but also the losers that satisfy those set of conditions.

    • @zaikenv
      @zaikenv ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ishanchaturvedi5674 great comment Ishan.
      But I have to note the opposite. When I have manually backtested my strategy, I do much better than when I program it. (I identify more setups by eye. I use multiple indicators and intuitively weight them against each other.) So that means that a programmed backtest is not always reliable.
      Would still be great to hear @Stockbee's answer.

    Some of the explosive moves have been on stocks where volume and price movement dries up (anticipation setups). However there is no Guarantee that the stock will move once you are in the trade. On the contrary you can enter at the time of volume breakout itself. So personally, sometimes i get torn in between the two trades... Keen to hear what you think about it

    At around 19:30, the condition that you're setting for c>5, is c the change in price so a change of $5 or 5% or a multiple of 5? I ask because I see that the stocks in the list are still priced below $5. I'm doing this same formula trying to learn this material and I'm still seeing stocks that are priced under $5. I was confused by that! Either way thank you for your great work! Also, how did you learn tc2000, is there a manual or a video that you watched/read to learn how to articulate all of the formulas?

      you have gaps between c 252

    I want to do a deep dive on weekly momentum b/o. Can you mention what scan(s) formula would be a good starting point for a deep dive? Would it be sensible to use your scans for Study Bullish 20%, Study Bearish 20%, Study 20 Dollar plus Bullish and Study 20 Dollars plus bearish and just look in the Weekly time frame in TC2000 charts?

    Hi EG, for the 300% move in a year setup, I'm using the formula c/c252 >= 300 and minv3.2 >= 100000 and c>= 5 (true within the last 252 bars), but it is pulling just 3 stocks. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for your help.

      You can try softwares such as Iris or Ace from Spider software. There is one Trend7 from reliable software. They are not as advanced as TC but could be decent for such deep dive.

      Your question and timeframes are vague. One can not write scans for vague things like 1 to 2 weeks . First define your setup .

    Hi,
    For TC2000 you commented on another video that "Gold" edition + real time US stock data was all that was needed.
    I have checked the pricing page for TC2000, it seems that "historical scans" are only part of the "platinum" package which costs a lot more.
    Please can you confirm which TC2000 is most needed for the deep dive.
    Thank you
