    Yes, you should make the video again. My least favorite thing to do, and I haven't found much that I like as a cleaner. I'll definitely have to try that stuff though.

    Thanks for sharing and a bummer on the damage. My favorite stainless cleaners is a Makers Mark product from Sam’s club. The stuff is unbelievable. I was using on my Weber Genesis and the grates looked good. Decided to try it on the outside and sprayed the lid - no problem, gunk came off beautifully. Then I sprayed the color matched doors on the cabinet - which are painted, not a porcelain coating as with the lid. The damage was almost instant, watched as the liquid ran down the doors and dropped to the deck - as a green fluid (the spray is clear) as the paint came off. I got it off quickly enough that the doors were still green and I didn’t have the variation that you have on yours - but color matched to the lid….. not so much.

    Any plans RE-PAINT? Just lightly sand the surface and spray it with a high heat / wood stove type paint.

    Honestly best pronation for the grill and oven cleaner, so strong that it literally removes the paint

    I don’t know if you still have the grills that you test but a while back you did a test on pellet grills and one of them was the Oklahoma Joe DLX 1200
    It has a somewhat complicated set up inside and around the fire pot because it has a directional heat that moves
    I would be quite interested in seeing this thing totally taken apart and cleaned because I’m quite hesitant to take this thing apart
    Love Your channel you guys are 100% the best when it comes to reviews
    God bless

    what I like to use is Simple Green 24-fl oz Grill Grate/Grid Cleaner. When I was in my teens; I tried cleaning my grates with coca cola by soaking the overnight in a bag. The acid in the pop ate the build off but a ate the enamel on my dad's Weber Genesis he bought in July of 2005. When I did that it was September of that year. Another mistake was in 2009 I had just got my first old country brazos and I Sprayed Simple Green® Industrial Cleaner & Degreaser all over my grill. I had to heat my smoker to almost 550 degrees F to burn and coat in cooking oil the salvage the smoker. When I do a season my smoker now a days I just use veg oil on a light coat.. For clean any of my grates I and griddles I just use water and grill rescue brush.

    I would love a how-to that I could apply to my Traeger Ironwood 885. I just cleaned it but I am not confident I did all that I could/should? Thank you for the PSA and the terrific videos.

    I can also say that the Members Mark Commercial Degreaser from Sam’s will also yield similar results on painted surfaces. I wanted to clean the exterior of my Recteq 1250. The stainless surfaces had the typical drips below the lid. And this product does a good job cleaning those greasy drips BUT when it dripped onto the powder coated surface of the Competition Cart below - yep, white looking residue/drips that will not wipe off. So each, it now looks like crap. Such is life. It still cooks amazing food. It just looks bad.

    Maybe just that cheaper style of paint, i used straight up oven cleaner on my everdure furnace painted enamel and it didnt hurt it at all, took the grime off like a charm

    Biggest mistake I've made was running my pellet grill in about 10 degree temps. There was some kind of condensation in the auger tube that eventually froze, and then broke/burned up the motor trying to turn the auger.

    • @nautygoesdeep
      @nautygoesdeep 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If any sort of liquid was in your auger, it wasn't the cold temperatures that took it out. The liquid kinda dissolves your pellets and they become rock hard. So either way, if you had liquid in your auger tube, you were screwed.
