@@LeighAnneWilkes You should add a *Warning* for newbies to start with the smaller recipe because I found myself scooping out just one itty bitty spoonful too often. Totally addictive & delicious. Thanks again:-)
I have always had problems making lemon bars. They never turned out for me, and so I would avoid making them even though I love them! I took a leap of faith and tried this recipe of yours...and they turned out PERFECT! I added just a pinch of salt to the crust because I like a little salt in any kind of crust. These are so good! I can't wait to make them again. Thanks for this recipe. Now I know I CAN DO IT!!
@@LeighAnneWilkes I also like the glaze on top instead of dustinig the bars with powdered sugar. It's easy to breathe in the powdered sugar when you're taking a bite of other lemon bars. Powdered sugar is messier too. Your family version really is perfect!
I'm so happy to have found this channel. I love baking, but there are only two people in my house. This channel makes it so much easier to make recipes for just the two of us empty-nesters.😊
Recipe looks so good. I have a friend that loves lemon bars and she lost her husband last year. It's the perfect size for her. I love your empty nest recipes.
That looks really easy. I have a Meyer lemon tree in my back yard and it still has some lemons on it. Been thinking about trying something new with them! Meyers are the best lemon for desserts - much nicer flavor that the Eureka lemons in the supermarket.
Made these today as a Mother’s Day treat for my daughter and myself. They turned out great, nicely lemony and not too sweet. Definitely a recipe I will use again and again.
My adult kids are always asking me to make a cook book for them, and now that I'm on the dessert section I'd love to add this recipe ! It's definitely a must have for lemon lovers everywhere ! Thanks for sharing, you've got a new subscriber here lol
Just found your Channel! Took me one video to subscribe! Great lemon bar recipe and love the small batch concept. I and most of my friends are living alone in our "golden years". Money is tight these days and health is always an issue , so smaller desserts are great! Thanks from Newfoundland ❤
I bought 4 lemons recently and am glad I remembered seeing this recipe because I'll make it this week. Maybe I'll use the zest of 2 lemons for the filing and make a bit more glaze because the glaze looks so yummy :)
Watching from New Zealand. So great to find recipes suitable for 1-2 people., allows to me to indulge and try new ideas. I'll be trying this today. Thankyou
@@LeighAnneWilkes it is every bit as good as you said. Easy to make and very tasty. I had hoped it would last 2-3 days but it was gone before lunch. Your handy hint of using the paper liner to help lift the slice out made it so much easier. Thanks, I have subscribed.
I just happened to see this while scrolling through and figured it was easy enough with very little ingredients and just small enough to try to see if I liked it, so I got up same speed and made it in a matter of mins, It really is amazing, I can't wait to make a big batch next time,, how much recipes do you think to make a 9×13 pan?
Today I made lemon brownies but …. steamed them. 🙂😭 Because I was into a lemony treat but my oven is broken. 😒 Haven’t had a go at it yet but I soon will so I’d like to ask here if I could steam these lemon bars, too? 😁
salted butter is fine. I don't cook in a convection oven so not sure about lowering temperature. If you usually lower the temp when baking I would do that
I baked at 350 for 25 min and the lemon didn’t set in the center, it was basically liquid. I must have missed something in the recipe because I doubled it but darn, I was so looking forward to these!! 😢
Going to make this! On your video you said 1/8 t of baking powder but in your recipe it says 1/4….probably not a big difference but you never know!! Thanks
I love drinking & eating lemon things. Far too often it’s made very strong & for me it ruins it. I want to be able to taste a strong hint of lemon but not have it overpowering. I hope when I make these it’s a perfect balance.
Small batch recipes are very much appreciated, thanks so much
I am so glad you are enjoying them - lots more to come

I am making a big batch of these tomorrow, they are amazing.. thanks for the recipe, if any remains, how do I store them?
Keep them in an airtight container. You can refrigerate them or not. Enjoy!

I am in the U.K. and have plain or self raising flour here so not sure which one you would use?
Many Thanks.
Use plain flour
What can I substitute for the egg?
I know some recipes use coconut milk or evaporated milk as a substitute for eggs in lemon bars,

It is 1/2 cup or 4 oz.

I wish I could try these. I have a dairy allergy so I can't use butter. What can I use instead?

click over to the blog post and you will find the recipe along with the nutritional information.

This is beyond me. It makes a 8 X 8 pan. Why would I make a mess for three! They will get eaten and keep well?
Sounds like maybe this recipe isn't for you then.
