I was ready for the new prius until I saw those prices, no matter how reliable and efficient there is no way I will be paying 40 grand plus for a prius.
Don’t forget to add all of the dealer fees. It’s still no deal. Hold off as long as possible. They will have to bend sooner or later.
They're starting to bend here in Maryland. I look up prices on autotrader and I'm noticing many dealerships are starting to lower prices. They either want them off the lots for the new 2025 models or they see a recession coming.
I refuse to pay these new prices as they are completely ridiculous

When it hits the fan in Oregon, it's hitting for a long period of time. I lived through GFC in Oregon.
Wife and I were looking at a Camry XSE 4 cylinder and the damn dealer just wouldn’t go to invoice when I knew they had a big gap between MSRP and invoice. It had red seats and it was the new Ice Edge color I really liked. Went to Mazda and for a CX 50 turbo for invoice.
The crown was too much to insure and we had an Avalon hybrid in the past, amazing mileage, usually got 525 miles per tank lol but the insurance kept climbing hard. Only the Mazda lowered my insurance, imagine that!

There’s a stop sale on Prius’s so they’re not allowed to sell them till the recall is resolved. My May delivery date got pushed to the end of summer.

a base SR5 for 47k? lol, first off, that S/H charge is bullshit. These dealerships should not be putting that on the sticker, it's already figured into the price from the manufacturer, and the MSRP isn't 46-47, for the base 4Runnner SR5 it's 43k. dealerships lie like a rug. You're a dealership that sells new cars/trucks, you don't F$cking charge the customer the cost to bring the vehicles to the lots. Taxes, title and tags is enough, now they want us to pay for the boat ride to America, lol. assholes

Toyota vehicles in the US are so damn expensive compared to similar models in Australia. It may be because Japanese Vehicles are completely free of tariffs when imported to Australia due to a bilateral trade agreement with Japan.

Actually hard to find i have to drive to Chicago from Wisconsin today. Yeah 5 thousand but it originally was just 4 but i got them to come down another grand. Was like pulling a tooth tho...i said little Kenny showing big discounts😅 it worked my brother.

Funny, Toyota prioritized the USA market sending most of its inventory there and they aren't selling. Meanwhile in other countries like mine there are waiting lists to buy one.
Toyota confirmed they will be releasing the little pickup truck Stout, in 2025, meaning the first ones will be late 2024. ((Under 20k)). I might hold off buying a 4Runner beings how they refuse to make the base SR5 and base TRD Offroad. I did finally find one base TRD OffRoad and it even had the KDSS I wanted, in Underground. However, it's in Denver Colorado, just 1,511 miles away from me, lol. and even though they have a truck transporter in their advertisement in their dealership pictures, they say they don't deliver, I have to drive or fly out there. I'm noticing that Toyota dealerships here in Maryland are discounting all these premium 4Runners. I will never buy a vehicle with a sunroof, so I'm out.

Seems that the forums are loaded with new Tundra owners dealing with all kinds of problems, multiple blown engines, windows not working right, dash rattling, tailgates not working, squeaky brakes, lol. The list goes on and on. Toyota is watching all these videos, and the videos are taken down from TH-cam, as they get contacted by Toyota and get new trucks for taking down the videos, lol.
