    The radar systems in the game actualyl work realistically. ELINT essentially detects other emission sources and their strengths and directions. Jamming doesn't make you invisible. Quite to the contrary, a jammer is basically to a normal radar what a floodlight would be to a handheld flashlight. Activating a jammer tells everyone in the same hemisphere that there's a jammer there, but it overpowers enemy radar, so they can't quite tell *what* there is beyond a jammer and can have trouble determining how far away it is.
    Also, some missiles have anti-radiation seekers. AKa, they cahse after the emissions of radar and jammers instead of using their own onboard radar to search for targets. Lighting a jammer is a great way to get every anti-radiation missile in the same hemisphere to come chasing after you.

    This is the game from the developer of Hammerfight (as far as I can remember). It was also an interesting game with strange fight system but without all strategical components of Highfleet

  • @Petrico94
    @Petrico94 2 ปีที่แล้ว +47

    I like strategy games with a lot of moving parts but there are also some quality of life things I would prefer left in. Some people like a realistic tank sim but I'd more like to have the comfort of controlling it without a year of training, on my own, and with a keyboard. There's probably a limit for people into this stuff too where it gets very gritty but the game will usually cut off instead of forcing you to bleed out.
    Clowns are generally weird, most people agree they're creepy but there are good funny clowns. I can't say I'm sexually attracted to the concept but I also won't say I judge it as degenerative, there are certainly worse fetishes that go beyond "Why?"

    • @SomeOne-ex7hk
      @SomeOne-ex7hk ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are the joke, but that's the point of a clown. Either being one, or appreciating. The joke is key!

  • @RedeemerofDark
    @RedeemerofDark 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

    Alright you asked so.
    Disclaimer: Most of what I'm going to say here is talking about an idealistic owner of a Clussy, obviously not every clown girl is like this which I feel goes without saying but I'm putting this here just in case.
    Clussy, a thesis
    Frankly I didn't originally like clowns very much, I found them rather creepy and unnerving just like a lot of people still do. This was only exacerbated by that one episode of Ben 10 I watched as a kid, but as I've grown older that fear faded away a good bit. The height of this fear going away was when I was searching something and got a random ass result I didn't ask for, out of curiosity I clicked on it, it was a video of a professional clown telling people how to handle kids that are scared of clowns when your performing at a birthday party. It was a very sweet, wholesome, and genuine "tutorial" video that sounded like genuinely good advice, as the guy talked about how to not come on to strong, how to slowly ease into trying to calm them down and get them to open up and enjoy your antics along with the other kids. He talked about how harmful and hurtful the various stereotypes spawned by John Wayne Gacy and various depictions in the media have been, but how even with such a developed stigma that they have still done so much good in the world, and shared a story of how they were able to raise money for a children's hospital and bring joy to children that might not have had long left.
    Though I didn't go out of my way to work into how being a clown in society and having it as a job actually worked I had learned a lot and had developed a newfound respect for clowns in general. Why do I bring this up? Because frankly if you don't actually have a fear or anything actually against clowns I find it unlikely that clussy can be nearly as off-putting as you made it sound, at least in my opinion. I for one am someone who has loved clown girls for a long time, far far far before "Clussy" popped up as a meme, and funnily enough plenty of other people have as well. Much like with bimbos clown girls have been a thing for some time and only really shot into the mainstream consciousness through one incident or another that further popularized them and made people aware that they exist at all. For bimbos it was the dumbass controversy over that sequence that Phillip De Franco even talked about one time, for Clown Girls its "Clussy". And though people as always are quick to say "meme dead" this or "meme cringe" that, its not going to go away because I can assure you I've been around on the internet to know its been here for a long time and its not suddenly going to just go away now.
    I personally find "Clussy" very appealing, not for the name which I'll admit does sound silly but I am not a huge fan of sexual organs being shoved in my face even if its only cause someone said the word and my vivid imagination ran with it. But because I feel like a clown girl would actually be a incredibly idealistic and wonderful partner to have on several levels. No I am not joking. For me personally I seek out personality more then looks in a partner of any kind, and I feel like their is just so much to love with a clown girl when you actually think about it and don't just spend the entire time going "oh god no clowns!". I'll even make a list of what's to love if you think I'm lying or have no idea what I'm talking about:
    1. A clown girl would be fun loving and always ready to have a goof or a gaff, able to find ways of being excited over all sorts of things and having a variety of ways to allow others to have fun, plus they probably have a list of party tricks as long as Santa's if not longer.
    2. A clown girl is an entertainer, obviously this means she is fun loving as previously said but more then that it also means that at her very core she is a generous soul that loves to make other people smile and enjoy themselves as Jessica Rabbit said "(s)he makes me laugh" and what's not to enjoy about a person like that?
    3. A clown girl would also be an optimist, able to find the color and joy in any situation and able to light up your world no matter what the occasion, she would have a knack for making the room or just the world in general seem that much more vibrant and thus that much more enjoyable.
    4. If the clown girl is anything like Geiru then on top of everything else I said she would also be unafraid to show off and look good without complaint or guilt, proud of what she has and not afraid to have someone admire her. After all who is she to stop other people from enjoying her? Her whole job is to make people smile and enjoy themselves after all! So what's the point in screaming at random people just cause they decided to admire her, and why should she be ashamed of showing off? Its not wrong or lacking in self respect to dress how you enjoy and when it compliments your line of work and helps you along in it then that just makes things even better!
    In conclusion I think the concept of clown girls is by far one of the most colorful and interesting fetishes the internet has ever had and that I've ever had the pleasure of discovering. Its nice that "Clussy" became a meme and was able to make the concept so much more wide spread cause I think a lot of people never even really consider the possibility of female clowns and/or don't appreciate what that could look like. Not only do I feel less alienated then ever for being able to share an interest and thing I enjoy with so many more people but its nice that its become more normalized and thus perhaps sparking and inspiring so many people in one way or another, whether that be through art, cosplay, or even exploring the profession themselves. Clowns have gotten far to much bullshit over stuff they had no control over so it was about time they were able to get a bone thrown to them for once, and if people have a problem with that then that is their problem.

    If this game had similar battle mechanics as "Airships: Conquer the Skies" it would be many times better, not saying that it isn't good, but there's definitely space for improvement in that area. Why can the enemy send 3 ships each time while you can only send 1? The AI seems fine to me, so why not allow us to battle on the same grounds as them?
