i feel true pity for those who look upon this character and see only an enemy of a game they heard about, never knowing what a legend they behold. were it so easy....
+Scratch Mcgrady I honestly don't know how Arbiter of sorts didn't just get a full fledged game for himself...way more interesting than human marines in space imo.
+Cykalord Considerimg he was the Commander of the Covenant armada that attacked Reach, and that you also fought in CE, I'd say he was an enemy. You just never fought him directly.
bruv I couldn't have put that any better myself. the sheer impact that the arbiter should have upon killer Instinct and it's players who care about the character lore is unquestionable
I seriously love how they used Impend as his idle theme. As a kid one of the things I associated most with the Arbiter's character arc is the level Uprising where Impend plays... where he realizes that the Brutes have turned on the Elites across the entire fleet at Delta Halo, and he goes across the complex leading the resisting Hunters, Grunts and Elites against the Drones, Jackals and Brutes... it makes it seem like a full blown civil war and a big part of his character is becoming a leader during this conflict. I remember sneaking past Brutes and slapping a grenade on the locks of the Hunter's cells and a single Elite Ultra and watched them tear into the jailers as more Brutes strolled in. The level was called Uprising and it was appropriate. Impend plays during this prison break, so to me, Impend as the idle theme is a great choice. Fuck, I miss Halo.
+idkwmgtis are you iffy about the story, or gameplay? Because the gameplay is leaning a whole lot more towards realism finally, and the story is, well, a story, and people will disagree with stories due to opinions. I personally love everything about the Halo universe, but I never hate stories or franchises.
WhisperedFlame The story is fine on its own, even if its execution was a bit off. Mechanically, I think the retcon to justify ADS was sloppy and aesthetically Spartans just don't look appealing to me. Like, the Spartans in Reach looked like a military today could have commissioned it for research. It looked believable while still maintaining the sense of science fiction and generally looks cool. I think Halo 5 and 4 lost that militaristic appearance and went straight sci fi and I lost the feeling that the Spartans were a military project. It almost feels commercial. I personally don't agree with the realism thing. I feel like Halo 1-3 had a science fantasy vibe to it in terms of aesthetic. It felt mysterious but futuristic and I liked it. Reach combined that with pure militaristic design - including a more realistic take on the Mark V armor - and that's so far my favorite design. Mechanically it's not realistic to me, either. 80 percent of my deaths in H5 MP are to shoulder charges, ground pounds, and grenades. Before that, it used to be primarily weapons, then melee, then grenades. The grenade spam in H5 is reaching Battlefield 4 (at launch) levels. People don't even bother shooting anymore, close combat is usually won by who happened to be sprinting at the time. While the shoulder charge makes sense for a sprinting Olympian in 2000 lb armor and I'm okay with its inclusion even if its a bit overused. Ground pounds makes little sense, but then again I feel that way about all games that include as its becoming ubiquitous and often has more splash damage and range than engineered weapons designed to have large splash radiuses. That seems illogical to me. TTK is super quick now. Maybe it's just me, but I miss feeling like a tank, as long as I was cautious and played well. sure you can live a long time in H5 by being cautious, but there's longer firefights. it seems like small bursts of fire and whoever fired first and happened to be aiming higher usually wins. I played H5 nonstop for a couple months and the medal for turning things around - which happened like 40% of the time in the old Halo's, moreso if your attacker got sloppy as they fired. Now I'll be fired on, return fire, watch them spray and miss but because they fired first I get dropped and they don't even realize it and keep firing half of the time haha. The Halo community is completely polarized. One half is completely cold to 343 and anything new (and I understand their frustration) while the other half feigns reasonability but won't accept any criticism of the games or their new direction. No one just talks about their different opinions anymore. Not everyone liked Halo 3 ODST and while there was always a small toxic community of bandwagon riders who expressed that as intelligently as any given fourth grader most fans of the franchise could discuss why and give and take criticism with a modicum of respect. Halo 5 man, it looked to be awesome story wise. I don't agree with most of the changes in MP but the campaign looked promising. All of the war stories about Chief getting warped to the point he's portrayed as a villain, all to serve as justification for ONI shutting him down to cover themselves and stop him from doing any damage. It's morally gray and that's awesome. I wanted it to make you question who was in the right; Did Chief fracture mentally and believes himself to be saving the world when he's really endangering what he used to protect? Or is Chief still the beacon of morality he always was, and ONI is just using the ambiguity to tie up a loose end ? That's the kind of stuff that can happen after a war that demanded ethically questionable choices. Halo 5 didn't explore that. It was two Spartan teams who lacked basic human communication skills and creating unnecessary conflict because of it. It was one of those things where all of the conflict between the Spartans could have been resolved if one of them just levelled with the other but instead they were both stubborn to a fault, that of the writers'. Not to mention that the potentially complex relationship between the Spartan II's and IV's. That could have been deep and complex but instead they're all buddy buddy, and frankly, given all of the things they had to struggle with, I can easily imagine any surviving Spartan II's could potentially even resent the IV's, the way some of the veterans from wars in the past few decades often criticize the modern military, not for ethical reasons but reasons of relativity, i.e. You guys only ruck with 25 pounds and only 12 miles? Haha we used to march with 60 and we weren't allowed to sling our weapons and it was 25 miles! Especially considering that the use of a Spartan used to be a solemn, necessary affair whereas now Spartan simulations are treated like sports, especially with how they act in and out of combat. MY favorite thing about 5 is the love they do give the older games. I use the Halo 2 BR in every warzone match, the M6D came back from Halo CE as a power weapon (Which was a really good idea), the needle rifle got a spiritual successor, Halo Wars Spartans in Mk IV got their armor set in the game, the concept art for MC in the first Halo got modeled and called the alpha version, which is a very nice nod (even though I would have appreciated the actual Mark V armor as seen in the games), Carter from Reach got an armor set, the carbine is viable again, and the free updates are seriously appreciated. Fan requested stuff makes it into updates which I seriously love, because I lamented the loss of firefight and now that it's back with the requisitions used in warzone cough Halo 2 BR cough and I thought I saw a plasma rifle in the trailer and that excites me. Those weapon revivals (Halo2 BR, Halo CE / ODST pistol) feel true to their originals. I've gone onto maps and tested the Halo 2 BR versus the BR 85HB from 5, and the BR 85 is technically superior in every way, (tighter spread, higher bullet velocity, faster cyclic ROF) as it would be irl, but I still perform better with the Halo 2 variant because it's familiar to me. I could go on for hours man. I used to be veeeeery passionate about the halo universe, and while I don't agree with a lot of 343's decisions and frankly, don't necessarily like their main sense of direction, I still follow the universe and on my Xbone I have every single Halo installed on it permanently; the only other game that has yet to be uninstalled from my Xbone is Killer Instinct, and that's another one of my favorite franchises. Did I mention how hype I am that they have Arbiter in KI? Omfg he's so fun. CE Elite ftw. Anyway man, I like talking about the Halo games with other fans regardless of how they feel about the newer or even older games. More than anything I want the Halo community to have some sort of solidarity the way it used to. Halo fans used to be able to talk to each other more or less disregarding their individual preferences in games. Now it's polarized and it quickly becomes toxic and anyone who misses the old games and haven't taken a liking to the new ones are afraind of evolution and "can just go play the old ones then" (seriously that's the reply I see to everyone, no matter how respectful they are initially) and fans of the new ones are just "fanboys who need to get off of 343's dick" (another ubiquitous reply) and because of the toxicity and defensiveness of both parties, they wind up taking shots at each other. Fans of 5 often take potshots at the old games and that spurs those fans to be more defensive about their tastes and throw more potshots in return. Sorry for the long reply! Like I said, I used to be very passionate about Halo - Clearly I still kind of am haha

The danger theme of Arbiter, it feels like you're making your final escape like in almost every Halo game, when you're in a vehicle, driving fast, and make it alive before the whole place blows
Ah HA! It's a remix of the Halo 2 soundtrack. The one that plays on the Delta Halo mission. You drop down in a ODST pod and walk out of it and grabs a rocket launcher. Very good.
@@anameorsomething894 I think they meant that you'll only play master chief, like Halo CE and 3, meaning that Arbiter CAN still make an appearance as an ally that fights on your side. knowing what road 343 is taking with infinite, i think that it's very likely that this will happen in some way.
@@OxbloodXIX Right, but more leaning towards chief, because it will support co-op and thatd be weird if arby was in it and other players dont play as him
the genius new age choral sound of halo mixed with the dynamic tone of killer instincts music, might be the best theme in the game so far in my opinion.
God i love this theme, especially the chorus. Its so Halo, so Arbiter! I do hope they add Cortana to the KI roster along with Joanna Dark and Skorge from Gears.
Unethical Garrogate Problem is most people don't even know what that means, or what Arbiter meant by it. W/e here's my mandatory Arby quote: "If they came to hear me beg, they will be disappointed"
While I myself never liked the idea of guests in fighting games like KI (as they may tend to distract from the games amazing roster) The Arbiter was an excellent choice. I played Halo series, loved it to fricken death, I grew up with KI and love KI2013 so two things I like put together!
Whilst smash has samus, who is a chozo warrior, killer instinct has the arbiter, a covenant soldier, both are feared with their armour that was made long before they were born plus both are rivals to the spartan supersoldiers, with multiple arbiters fighting the spartans and samus fighting nicole in haloid, the inspiration for death battle
+Skorpior You might want to check out the two Spartan Assault games' soundtracks both are done by Tom Salta (Atlas Plug). Not as metal as what's going on here, but good stuff none the less.
I think there is something to be said about fans making something better than what the company who produces the media puts out, i think it has something to do with a deep and sincere love for a piece of media and the need to just make another buck off of it.
7 years later and 343 still hasn't made a theme as good as this. Ain't that messed up? Killer Instinct gave more respect to The Arbiter with one cameo than 343 has with their entire tenure
I like how they put Arbiter and Raam instead of Master Chief and Marcus Fenix. It's like the creators sent a huge middle finger to Chief's and Marcus' Fans.
Actually I'm glad they did. I don't know much about GoW, but Arbiter really deserves to be in the spotlight more. If Chief died in Halo 6 and Arbiter replaced him as the main playable character, I wouldn't even be mad. Ok, I would be really mad, but just let me avenge him as Arbiter and we're all good.
I thought it would make for a good mix-up because when a game is about to have a crossover you expect the main protagonist, not a deuteragonist (secondary protagonist) and an antagonist ( bad guy)
I'd be totally for Arbiter taking the main character and series mascot role, but they'd need to refine his new design a bit. Looking at all the current official designs, Halo 2 Arbiter's body with Halo 3 Arbiter's armor looks best in my opinion.
Chief: Space Marine shoots aliens Arbiter: Divine Crusader is disgraced and takes revenge on the religious leaders that manipulated him and betrayed his people.

+Roberto I still say rad :)
Spinoff? He should be playable in the main games, just like in the good old days.
I want a Metal Gear Revengance Style game but you play as the Arbiter
An arbiter spin off wouldn't make much sense because he was a fleet commander until the destruction of halo
I never thought I ever wanted a halo song remixed to sound like it came out of mick gordon's fun box but here we are
And now you are addicted and want more. Or for Mick Gordon to handle future Halo music.

Halo infinite will probably only have arby in cutscenes sadly, 343I said infinites gonna be a chief strict story
Unfortunate I hope arbiter or shipmaster at least play some role in infinite
@@anameorsomething894 I think they meant that you'll only play master chief, like Halo CE and 3, meaning that Arbiter CAN still make an appearance as an ally that fights on your side.
knowing what road 343 is taking with infinite, i think that it's very likely that this will happen in some way.
@@OxbloodXIX Right, but more leaning towards chief, because it will support co-op and thatd be weird if arby was in it and other players dont play as him
@@anameorsomething894 One year later, and no Arby :( hope we get him in a dlc though.
Arbiter never ceases to amaze me.
FOR SANGHELIOS!!!!!!
5:19 imagine playing as the arbiter again in a new Halo infinite DLC campaign set fully in sanghelios. I'd not stop crying tears of joy for days
Oh the dreams of men........if they became reality..( Except the dream where I wanted grow up cause that one came true and I regret it.)
the genius new age choral sound of halo mixed with the dynamic tone of killer instincts music, might be the best theme in the game so far in my opinion.
I don't even understand what this is. But I love it!
TheLastDreamer.com
+Martin O'Donnell The maker!
It's your successor's talent!
+KonohaRamenNoodles wait!!!??? he made this remix!!!!??/ for killer instinct!?!?!?
+jtalbert78 no I was just acknowledging the person who started it all
THE PROPHET HIMSELF!
I am not much of a halo fan but holy shit is theme amazing!
All halo themes are amazing
+goon True
goon All the old Halo themes are amazing. The new ones, not so much.
Doom, so it's basically like Star Wars.
Haku Yuki Halo 2’s theme is the best.
God i love this theme, especially the chorus. Its so Halo, so Arbiter! I do hope they add Cortana to the KI roster along with Joanna Dark and Skorge from Gears.
Were it so easy...
I'm sorry friends. But alas I have today. Tusk will be here tonight aka in like 8 hours :(
Damn bro you must love these themes man.
Question. How do we get to hear Rash's theme (since, last time I knew, he didn't have his own stage)?
+CheatMasterK not sure if it's true. but I remember seeing a "song select" on the map screen of the final build of the game.
+CheatMasterK you can now select any piece of music to play on any stage
*work. Sorry forgot to add that there.
Been waiting 3 months for this theme, thanks a lot man
Challenge: Sniff two lines of cocaine everytime someone quotes "if only it were so easy" in the comments.
i would fucking die
+WizardLizard if only it were so easy
Actually it's just "were it so easy", but whatever floats your boat.
+Tiberiu Marian my boat is currently sinking, and gets slightly more water inside with every person quoting arbiter.
Unethical Garrogate Problem is most people don't even know what that means, or what Arbiter meant by it. W/e here's my mandatory Arby quote: "If they came to hear me beg, they will be disappointed"
You do realize you're the shit, right?? Thanks bro. My ears also thank you.
WHEN WE JOINED THE COVENANT WE TOOK AN OATH!
+Kaiden Krueger "ACCORDING TO OUR STATION! ALL WITHOUT EXCEPTION!"
+Arbiter/Kaidon On the blood of our fathers....on the blood of our sons, we swore to uphold the Covenant!
Kaiden Krueger Even to our dying breath!
And continue to march toward glorious salvation!
+Kaiden Krueger lol we would be Badass Elites lol
Knew just the man to come to when Season 3 dropped! Can't wait to hear Kim Wu's theme whenever you get around to it!
This'll have to tide me over until the OST releases after all the S3 characters are out, but until then you are the absolute hype god!
Me: why do i hear boss music?
Arbiter: it's my theme, it's now your new theme!
Me: thanks bro!
Arbiter: your welcome cute one.
didn't know Thel liked rock, that makes him even more badass!
Can't wait to hear General RAAMs theme
TUSK TUSK TUSK TUSK TUSK TUUUUUSSSSSSK
DAH DAH DAH DAAAH
That intro is just so perfect. Absolutely love it.
While I myself never liked the idea of guests in fighting games like KI (as they may tend to distract from the games amazing roster) The Arbiter was an excellent choice. I played Halo series, loved it to fricken death, I grew up with KI and love KI2013 so two things I like put together!
This is actually pretty damn nice. If we ever get to play as the Arbiter again in a Halo game this needs to be played during an intense battle.
Just cut out all the dubsteppy parts and it's golden.
Whilst smash has samus, who is a chozo warrior, killer instinct has the arbiter, a covenant soldier, both are feared with their armour that was made long before they were born plus both are rivals to the spartan supersoldiers, with multiple arbiters fighting the spartans and samus fighting nicole in haloid, the inspiration for death battle
wanted to watch a remaster of Nicole(or is that Chief?) vs Samus so much!!
Don't forget Nicole was in Dead or Alive 4
That was whom i was refering to, as it is belived that monty oum used her for haloid
The Arbiter. Maybe more than any other figure, a symbol of what the galaxy could one day become.
" I have faced the Flood and silence truth. I will quell your Thunder and douse your Flame."
never got an xbox nor a 360, but HALO Mythos always intrigued me.
Glorious. Absolutely amazing.
My doubts against Celldweller and Atlas Plug have been extinguished.
BRING ME MORE!
+Skorpior You might want to check out the two Spartan Assault games' soundtracks both are done by Tom Salta (Atlas Plug). Not as metal as what's going on here, but good stuff none the less.
+Zach Klegon Might do that at some point. Thanks for the recommendation, Zach.
No problem!
its good to have you back, man
when Killer Instinct can pull off better Halo music compared to 343
haha, so true
This isnt halo music at all though. If impend wasnt mixed into it this would be closer to the doom sound track. Bad comment is bad
no
@@ethanstaaf404 Yes i can hear DOOM soundtrack elements in here
I think there is something to be said about fans making something better than what the company who produces the media puts out, i think it has something to do with a deep and sincere love for a piece of media and the need to just make another buck off of it.
Not to nitpick, but 4:01, there's a skip there. Can't wait for tusk. :)
celldweller does that.
"DAH!"
~ Tusk
Great song with so many fantastic sections in it.
Best part is 2:12-2:35... would love it to be double in length 👍
Hell yeah! RKosmik is back in full force.
11/10 sounds like God of War in space
This is fantastic. KI's music is absolutely amazing!
8 people are hiding like cowardly Grunts.
Doom + halo
Activate Halo AWESOMENESS
that would be fucking epic
= The universe collapsing on itself due to excess badassery.
Considering today in 2020 that is a possibility
This is one tremendous masterpiece of a theme song
KI had SO MUCH POTENTIAL GODDAMMIT RARE 😭😭😭😭
This gave me goosebumps
master cheif:i need a weapon
arbiter:"arby 'n' the cheif"
7 years later and 343 still hasn't made a theme as good as this. Ain't that messed up? Killer Instinct gave more respect to The Arbiter with one cameo than 343 has with their entire tenure
Is it possible to fave this more than once?
...If only it were so easy.
+The Gentlesaurian Velocidapper *Were it so easy.
1:15 LET'S GO 😠🔥🤬
Holy shit, this is fantastic
KI setting the bar on fighting game OSTs. I love it.
Thanks for your hard work man, we appreciate it!
Finally! Back at it again with the dynamic themes
man this was cool. can't imagine what General RAAM's theme will be like when he gets released.
My guess is a dark, menacing theme.
That chorus tho
oh thank god it is finally here now for kim wu
ahhhh my nigga from halo Arbiter holy fucking shit. I flipped my table when I saw this. my nigga is back. me and you Arbiter Bros for life. lmao
For Sanghelios!
Damn RKosmik! Back at it again with that komplete dynamic theme.
Imagine if Mick Gordon joined forces with Atlas Plug and Celldweller
klayton and tom did an awesome job this season. i can't believe anyone says any different. i sure hope there's a season 4.
Holy s*** one of the best themes :D!
My top 5 themes. 1) Cinder ,2)Fulgore ,3)Spinal 4)Sadira 5) Arbiter
One of the better songs, love how you integrated all the parts together.
Nice work, can't wait for the others
+Denis Dah Master Gam3r Agreed
This is better than all of Halo 4's and 5's soundtracks combined.
He has returned
Never understood why they added something to do with the Brutes into the Arbiter's theme.
In case anybody wants to know who was behind this score, I suggest you look up Celldweller right now.
Essa música me arrepia demais.
Celldweller is the greatest musician alive
This guy is my favorite halo and killer instinct
Man I forgot how hyped up killer instinct oats can be
i wanna get killer instinct for the Xbox one
Love how these songs end with the ultra at the end.
I think this might be my favorite theme out of all of them. (Currently speaking of course.)
Arbiter > Master Chief in quality tbh
+Brad Schaefer so glad they chose Arbiter instead of Master Chief.
truboricua Same tbh
I'd be totally for Arbiter taking the main character and series mascot role, but they'd need to refine his new design a bit. Looking at all the current official designs, Halo 2 Arbiter's body with Halo 3 Arbiter's armor looks best in my opinion.
Brad Schaefer not after reading the books lad
Chief: Space Marine shoots aliens
Arbiter: Divine Crusader is disgraced and takes revenge on the religious leaders that manipulated him and betrayed his people.
Badass music
I was really worried with mick Gordon not doing season 3 that the music would suck but this is really good
You gonna have an upload link?
The legends say if you listen very closely at the climax of the song you can hear a bag of rice shaking in the background!
If Arbiter was to be in Smash, this would be his theme.
Music for a true warrior.
ITS ONLY BEEN UP FOR A FEW HOURS BUT BLESS U
I love this stage and song...But if we can just tweak how the announcer say Stage Ultra, I would be happy
you can get the original KI announcer if you want
Now that sounds like a party
Nice to see your work again!
Min 3 onwards its an aural feast. GGs IG, Atlas and Celd.
Youre improving your editing skills, i like it.
he is so cool to play with
