- Some drilling action in solid New Hanpshire rock. This type of rock is very hard to drill and break . I had to bring the depth of the trench about a foot down for the boiler main pipes. Please check out the rest of the video of the Eko Wood Gasification Boiler Project

A regular pneumatic rock drill will drill a 38mm hole 600mm deep in hard Granite in 75 seconds when used by a seasoned operator.
Now that is a hammer drill

In Romania they build entire cities dressed just like that
Watching this guy dance and bumble around for the first minute was pretty comical... then again he's wearing gym shorts and tennis shoes so not sure what I was expecting

Why not just wear pajamas?
That would have to be the dumbest thing I've seen for a while. I have one of those Bosche impact hammer drills. And that's exactly what they are used for, getting through a barrier. For breaking up large areas use a demolition hammer with a point.
On the other hand were you going to put a stick of TNT and blow it up? :)

If I am not mistaken I see that you used dexpan for this job, did it worked finally?
This isnt a hammer drill, its a rotary hammer drill which you would use for drilling holes in concrete or masonry. Its obvious why he was drilling holes and not using a demo hammer as you can see with the bucket just to the right of him.
