Honestly most ghost types are strong so most pokemon are the list are actually pretty decent

I feel like low HP stat on walls that rely on Pain Split for recovery is actually a good thing, since you end up stealing more HP than a Pokémon with a high HP stat. Yeah, there’s that higher risk, but you get the benefit of weakening the enemy and totally bypassing their defences.
But its just so slow , that you must click pain split at full health cuz if you didn't you have the risk of being 2HKO'd

I _GENUINELY_ feel bad for #1. In certain metagames, it has a VERY unique niche. But... It's greatest strength truly is harmed by its weakest attribute.
I actually found Shednija under looked. Lore is scary for it.

Honestly, at least specify that you are talking about SINGLES FORMAT only with these lists. Pokemon like Sableye and Drifblim have entire LEGACIES in doubles competition.

Drifblim is honestly one of my favorite ghost types, and the fact that it learns minimize really helps with its survivability
It's one of my favourite pokemon overall, but I still came to this video to make myself sad knowing full well the flying type brought it down a lot
Tbh i must disagree with sableye being bad. Sure its stats are bad but its utility is god in doubles it can prankster wilo wisp to shut down physical attackers and it also had quash which makes use of its bad speed to make things move last

Dark, no contest
Drifblim has Minimize, Calm Mind, and Baton Pass making it great for setup to pass on to someone else. It also has Minimize, Stockpile, and Swallow to make it a great stall wall. Throw I'm other moves like Will-o-Wisp, Thunderwave, Defog, and you can have it serve as an annoyance to opponents.
What you just described can be done by other much better pokemon with ACTUAL bulk
@@conansglasses2645 Actually, no, it can't. Drifblim is literally the only pokemon in the entire dex that learns both minimize and baton pass. Sure, you could substitute minimize for double team, but then there's the need for calm mind as well. Yes, there's better tanks for tank shenanigans, but for a baton pass team, drifblim is really useful.
Well, since we have this trend going on, only one possible choice next! Weakest Dark types, let's go!
The only real choice has to be dark. It would be fun to see which are the best and which are the worst

I didn’t even appear on the best dark mon list. In fact, there was no gen 5 mons on the best dark type list.

Ghost type is my favorite so im glad you did it, I agree with the bottom half of this list. However, there is something i wanna point out in defense of Banette, you can breed Shupper to learn Destiny Bond and once you evolve it and are able to mega evolve. You get a Prankster Banette who knows Destiny bond. Which to me can be quite a nasty surprise for your opponent.
Love starting off this list with one of the few Pokemon that can force a weakness to its own STAB moves on opponents.
Also, I want a list of Pokemon with Prankster and Destiny Bond, Mystic. You don't dig deep enough. You just look at numbers and say, "That's cool."

Yea no sableye is still good. Mega or no mega. Prankster taunt and wil-o-wisp can sway a match so easily. You just have to know what ur doing. Even with the nerf to prankster the amount of good fighting types there are and especially the addition of body press means dark types aren’t going to be a super hard counter to sableye if you have a good team.
Looking forward to you talking about the strongest Ghost types.

Definitely dark next, then bug. My favorite typing, then the one often considered the worst type. I look forward to these so much.
I think drifblim isn't that bad I used it in sinnoh and it was awesome
12:31 will-o-wisp, taunt, recover, and knock off/foul play can be very annoying to deal with. Burn neuters physical attackers, taunt stops utility moves, recover provides instant healing, knock off can remove items, and foul play could allow you to deal consistent damage.
I know he isn’t talking about doubles, but Sableye also gets quash, which when combined with prankster is LETHAL in doubles
And my baby Froslass evades yet another list, thank Arceus.
At this point, I fail to see why I even bother asking. You'll just do the next dominant typing, anyway. Nice work, though.

prankster sableye is actually really good, if this is just ingame based then i agree but if competitive has a part in it sableye should not be on this list😂

U can use sableye with encore disable mean look/will o wisp and recover for struggle stalling
Dang, two of my favorites got trashed. Drifblim and Trevanent certainly aren’t phenomenal, but they’ll always have a special place in my heart.

Drifbloon, i think, is very good. I gave him ev hp, and defence. And it hold psychic seed, next to tapu lele. With the moves acrobatic, will o wisp, destiny bond, and tailwind, he can be very useful as support pokemon. I really dont understand why it on this list.

I agree and besides sableyes my favourite pokemon no matter what tbh if I had a full on ghost team I'd have: Sableye, trevenant, froslass, chandelure, jellicent and gengar
I literally laddered to #1 in Gen 6 OU using a Trevenant and he was an absolute beast. Did not disappoint me in competitive whatsoever.
Fun fact : all the ghost types had a niche on a higher tier on which they are not supposed to be

Gorgeist mismagius and cofagrigous are great lower tier pokemon but underrated
As for dusknoir it is good not as good as it's pre Evo but it is decent
Hey, man! "Frisk" is a good ability for the storyline. Especially in games like USUM, where several of the best held items - like Black Sludge for Poison types - can only be found being held by Wild Pokemon. And then, there's harvesting Heart Scales from Luvdiscs to help with getting your moves back pre-Gen 8. So, it's not THAT terrible.
I am sadened to see Runeregis on here. He was one of my aces on my Shield team. Easily my second best behind Ferrothorn.
I mean, they are ghosts, they are dead, I don’t think a dead person has a lot of hp you know...

yeah, he tends to look down on conditional/random activation abilities. I agree that if you build a bulky trev it can be super annoying to deal with.
Trevenant isn’t good tho. The harvest set is fun and works low ladder but he’s still untiered in singles and has a 0% usage in doubles

I may have a Trevenant (it’s my primary Ghost-type Z-Move Never-Ending Nightmare User), but I kind of prefer Chandelure, as it’s way better, as it was put at No. 9 on the Strongest Fire-type list. Except, I don’t know why he didn’t put it on the Ghost-type list, because I definitely prefer it over Alolan Marowak as well. It kind of did a better job with the Ghost/Fire-typing than Marowak.
It really is tho like have you SEEN chandelures special attack stat

@@david_cool427YT Well, those I don’t have. Given the limited amount of Ghost-types, I only have like 6: Chandelure, Decidueye, Dusknoir, Gengar, Palossand, and Trevenant. Two of these are in this video’s list right here. Decidueye and Palossand are kind of decent. Chandelure and Gengar are my best ones!
Chandelure is also my secondary Ghost-type Z-Move Never Ending Nightmare User. My legendary Pokémon for this Z-Move is Giratina. Arceus uses Plates for type change and is a Mythical. Hoopa (Confined Forme only) and Marshadow are also Mythicals. Even if I had Marshadow, though, well, it uses Soul-Stealing 7-Star Strike. Both Lunala and Dawn Wings Necrozma use Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom. Blacephalon is more of a Fire-type than a Ghost-type. And Silvally does the same thing as Arceus, except with RKS System Memory Discs.

Don´t care Dusknoir and Banette are still my favorite Ghost types
Flare boost flame Orb drifblim has always been fun to use for me, especially with moves like calm mind,shadow ball, thunder bolt and even strength sap
Is using banette as mixed good? Since it's not all that good in its physical movepool. And I am talking ingame.

What competitive format do you use when doing these videos? I've noticed a lot of doubles gems on your lists, and even some shine within tier in smog on battles. Are you saying they are not ou? Because that's a flimsy argument when looking at smog on tiering. You still get my watch time because it's pokemon, I'm just curious how you're fishing up these placements
We’ve got all 4 of Oricorio’s primary type forms: Baile (Fire), Pom-Pom (Electric), Pa’u (Psychic), and Sensu (Ghost). Now we’ll just have to see how it ends up in at the Top 10 Weakest Flying-types list.

sableye is still really good even without mega evo, and in singles, a lagging tail sableye with trick, knock off, will-o-wisp, and encore can put in the work, especially if you predict a pokemon trying to set up or catch them using a psychic normal or fighting type move to encore and either have them completely submit their pokemon to sableye or switch to risk another pokemon getting knockoff. and the trick allows sableye to still have a lasting presence across the entire battle

Most of the Pokémon that are on this list are on my list of this as well. Runerigus and Dusknoir aren't, so I replaced them with, Brambleghast and Marowak (Alolan). And Drifblim as well as Trevenant I feel are better as a Ghost types than you feel they are, though that's just my opinion.
I’m surprised Oricorio doesn’t get Ominous Wind. That feels like it should be in the movepool.
Shedinja is actually better than what you think. You can switch into it and take absolutely no damage, and even funnier you can entrainment sturdy, then paralyze it to make it completely unbeatable. I mean that's extremely situational and it's probably still top 10 worst, but lets be real it's better than oricorio or trevenant for sure.

Shedinja is a given as the worst in most cases, but I prefer Ninjask anyway in the first place. On a separate note I'd like you to consider a "best/worst for casual play" of each type (trade evolutions as alternative options).
Shedinja can be used in versatile ways such as destiny bond and transferring its wonder guard ability to others. It's not the weakest when used right
Order: Dark, Bug, Flying, Rock, Steel, Ground... Then whatever is after that, I don't remember
Make a best team for Moon Emerald
Poor and Gourgeist and Trevenant. Two dual Grass/Ghost types that I love on this list. But it kinda makes sense. I encountered my luck with them due to what Grass types love: healing themselves with draining moves.
In doubles with trick room and huge power weakness policy is a set that kills whole teams in a best of three. If they don’t see it coming you’re up one.

Also... Drifblim Sableye (non-Mega) have a pretty great history in VGC. And Trevenant is a decent niche pick that can offer some pretty good/unique support in VGC!
Honorable mention to Shedinja's inconsistent VGC history but it's really only performed decently in formats that allow Restricted Mon. Drifblim and Sableye had their best performances in those formats too, but we're still seen scattered throughout standard formats
I know it has bad speed but you could turn the tables if you teach Dusknoir trick room

A while back I caught a Sableye as I thought it was good just because a random machop couldn't hurt him, and the times I lost other battles with him was alarming (I was trying to use it to fight against Blaine)

I was legitimately surprised about the Pokemon at #1 on this list.
I think that the top 10 Worst Ghost types are 10, Gorgeist 9, Mismagius 8, Bannete 7, Dusknoir 6, Diftblim 5, Sableve 4, Runegius 3, Oricorio Senu Style 2, Treverent 1, Shedninja and can you the worst Dark or Bug type next.
Dusknoir can punch holes in teams that don't know what it's running. Focus punch, shadow sneak, willowisp and psplit is great set with adamant and maax Att and SpDef
