    Mike Mentzer had a very quick wit and dry sense of humor. This video contains some examples of this that remind of some of the laughs we shared over the years. The material is excerpted from certain of Mike's bodybuilding seminars that I attended as well as some clips of the humorous interaction between he and Boyer Coe while the two were working at Nautilus in 1983.

    He had a very dry, sarcastic sense of humor. He kind of had an unassuming charisma about him. Smart as hell, too!!

    I used to train 6 days a week and I would constantly feel fatigued also would have no life outside of the gym. But after discovering you , I learned about HIT and now I train hard with brief workouts. I feel great and look the best I’ve ever looked physicallly. Thank you John Little for providing us the wisdom of Mike Mentzer

      The only people who can train six days a week are 19-20 yr olds and who use peds/steroids

      @@lexbeltran1354 that’s an excuse in my opinion I work 6 times a week and I still train 5-6 times a week and prep etc it’s a lifestyle not tryna hate but it’s really just a commitment in my opion but remember you train and if thats 1 or 6 days a week keep going strong 💪

    Thank you John little for introducing me to Mike Mentzer. Im sure you have heard first hand some of the life philosophies and theories that Mike had. I can sense in his words that his mind was infatuated with discovering man’s purpose in an extremely logical manner. Is there anything specific the two of you conversed about regarding this that you can share? I would love to hear how he viewed humanity or why we are here. Thank you Mr. Little

      He knocked on Arnold a lot actually, lol! He's very subtle about it, but there's several videos out there where he'll hint something derogatory about Arnold or question one of Arnold's methods.

    I can remember my phone consultations with Mike like they were yesterday. He had a very "dry" sense of humor. I'm thrilled that you, John, have kept him alive!! Appreciate your efforts for sure. Also, is there a way to re-purchase the study you did about 15 years ago regarding muscle growth and recovery? If I recall it was titled the- Nautilus North Study?? You were using the bod-pod or something similar to record lean body mass increases of the participants and the time period it took to increase LBM.

    All kidding aside, the ideal machine for performing weight-added chins and dips - particularly the negative only version - is the Nautilus Multi-Exercise machine, but in 2022 I cannot find a gym or health club which has one! Why?

    • @lesgibbs326
      @lesgibbs326 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We were lucky enough to have a nautilus multi exercise machine when I was younger it was so versatile and because it hitched to your waste was so safe for squats. We would do leg ext squats supersets and hook the stack up get to failure and then climb up the steps and have a trainer stand on the stack and do 1 or 2 negative....legs done lol
