EASY Handmade GLASS NOODLES! Chinese Rainbow Glass Noodle Recipe

  • This dish is amazing! You can make Chinese glass noodles at home by hand and it is easy! Use potato or mung bean starch to make these super chewy and delicious noodles in this rainbow colored dish. Learn to make this dish by hand in your own kitchen. This recipe is easy and taste is incredible.
    Ingredients:
    1 cup potato or mung bean starch. Mung Bean Starch is easier to make but the taste is not as chewy.
    1.5 cup water
    tsp salt
    26 cm pan
    3 oz carrot
    3 oz cucumber
    4 oz meat stir fry after soaked in baking soda and soy===
    Cilantro garnish
    Sliced egg
    Wood Ear mushroom
    Sauce:
    2 tbsp soy sauce
    2 tbsp vinegar
    2 tsp oyster sauce
    ½ tsp chicken bullion
    2 tsp mustard oil
    4 minced garlic
    1 tbsp sesame sauce
    2 tsp sesame oil
    2 tsp peanut butter

    Just found this video! As someone who is about to start on Keto Diet, I'll be using Mung Bean Starch to make my own glass noodles so I don't miss out on delicious food I grew up eating. Thanks for sharing this recipe Mikey! I'll tweak it a bit to make it Keto friendly. :)

      It's easy, all you need is water, a bottle (cut open) and a scallion root ( the whole root do not rip it apart)

    Thank you for showing the technique! I was looking to make the sweet potato glass noodles for Korean japchae. The ones I got from the store are really thin and over 2 ft long, so I imagine the manufacturing plant must make a really big crepe!

    That looks SO.... GOOD! Wow. I know I'll be making this. I was really shocked at how clear the "crepe" was when you put the pan in the cold water! Hey Mikey, can you please make a video where you make lo mein? I've tried making it and I never get that "smoky" flavor like restaurant lo mein.

    Nom nom nom! That looks soooooo good!!! I've never made glass noodles from scratch before so I cant wait to try it soon and I love wood ear mushrooms. Those are my favorite kind. I love the dried version because it has a nice crunch to them when you rehydrate them. It's like a braised pig ear cartilage type of crunch. 😁

    I have been doing the same with my scallions so that I don't have to go out as often and I love how fast they regrow :) this recipe is almost like making korean jap chae. Awesome to try something different.

      @@ellengribbons7366 I cut it down to just right before the white bulb and then I put the white bulb part in a cup/glass with about 1/2 cup of water and then I change out the water every few days. You can do the same with celery also.

    Mikey, I've got an idea for you. Take those glass noodle sheets and skip cutting them. Instead, make a filling for them and steam them to make ghost dumplings. Fairly sure it's not a thing yet, but I really want to see if it's possible to make a completely transparent dumpling with those so what you mainly see is the inside.
