Bt1 of Bt1,4 is a couple frames faster and takes you out bt with just 1 for pressure/mix, but you are right about bt 2,2 as well, really just seems to be preference
That is true. I do it because I tend to do the delay between BT 1,4. The (4) on counter hit launches. Also back turn 1 is 8 frames so opponents can’t mash me out unless they dick jab or do a high crush attack. I do BT 1,4 or 2,2,1 depending how the opponent attends to respond after aqua spider. I tend to flowchart into 1,4. Tekken 7 muscle memory 😭
