How Bitcoin's Halving Could Boost the AI Business

- On the horizon is a preordained event that will change the business of Bitcoin forever. It’s called The Halving, and once it occurs the potential balance sheet of every Bitcoin miner is cut in half. Companies are doing everything they can to prepare for it, including moving away from crypto and in some cases into an even newer field: artificial intelligence.

So the end of the video they say that the requirements for AI are completely different from crypto mining. Thanks guys.
But using the older equipment no longer in use for crypto mining, you can build very powerful AI machines. This was the whole point of the video, wasn't it?
Bitcoin ≠ Crypto
@@yousefshnaiwer6936 bitcoin miners are highly specialized and can't do anything else besides mine. Once the profit for the rate at which they mine new bitcoin per unit of power drops below the cost of that power, the machine runs at a net loss.
@@yousefshnaiwer6936 No, the video specifically says that the mining machines can not be repurposed for anything. The only "advantage" the mining CEO claims is knowing how to select and set up server locations which is zero advantage.
@@djgodigod I agree with you that is what he claims. I just do not see (and it is not stated clearly in the video) why these machines cannot be repurposed. Especially that the data miners need to change their equipment much faster now, the older machines have not been exhausted by data mining yet when they are replaced. Is this related to how they are programmed and/or connected?
I'm sorry, but this video is a total letdown. It feels like the production team just tossed some random information together with flashy editing to grab attention. Where's the respect for the viewers? Quite disappointing!!
I thought I was the only feeling that before reading the comments.
They just don't really know anything so they use a lot of annoying fillers. Imagine this is Bloomberg smh
Looks like Bloomberg outsourced their video writing to ChatGPT 3
imagine combining a cryptobro and an ai-bro
I can smell the stench from here
There is a large overlap.
I mean, they are one and the same.
You don’t need to combine, they are already the same person

As always, a great analysis. Newcomers often wonder if it's too late to navigate the financial market, but the market is always unpredictable. Trading has more advantages than simply holding, so it's important to learn before diving in. Active trades are necessary to ride the market's waves. Thanks to Pamela Frederick insights, daily trade signals, and my dedication to learning, I've been increasing my daily earnings, managed to grow a nest egg of around 127k to a decent 632k. Kudos to the journey ahead!

Really you guys know her?
I was even thinking that I'm the only one she has helped walk through the fears and falls of trading
best signal provider in the market. Knowledgeable, level headed (no loss like some other traders who recently jumped on the bandwagon)
No sense the argument….. both are place in the same kind of data center as any other cloud service. I would say that mining can join forces with electric vehicles because both consumes electricity…. I think minings are trying to find a way out.

AI is 100x harder than bitcoin mining, its not just compute power left over from bitcoin and the machines used to run AI models are not the same as the bitcoin mining rigs, it more complex and there is not guaranteed return like bitcoin. Its like a Textile or a Candy factory trying to repurpose their machine to start manufacturing vehicles.
THANK YOU!
What would be revolutionary would be a way to use ai training as the proof of work for a cryptocurrency. a way to have a quick enough blockchain, in the order of 1 block minted per second minimum where the work is also useful vector arithmetic chunks for ai training. One could pay in crypto to have his neural network trained by the miners giving the currency a reason for existing and reducing the carbon footprint to zero since the work done is not wasted.
@@michaelpapadopoulos6054 there's literally no point. It would be more efficient if a centralized source did all those computations if you paid them.
Pay attention to what the people involved are saying. the crypto miners are not in the business of AI model training, theyre selling their old capacity to established AI companies or acting as a middleman between serverfarms and AI companies. there were 0 businesses in this video which were both mining crypto and also working on their own AI.
"Textile or a Candy factory trying to repurpose their machine to start manufacturing vehicles" Sweet, why not? they both involve machines that spin. I see that they have a lot in common. LLM's inference is essentially many TFLOPS of multiplications. Doing terahash requires even more steps.
@@wffff2 I’m pretty sure that’s what actually happened during WWII 😂 so there was competition to produce the sweets and candies for war rations in order to avoid your factory being mandatorily repurposed.

Akash is an AI coin that uses people's mining rigs as a way to rent out computing power to people and companies. This is huge and I think it will be a gamechanger.
One of the biggest upsides out of any project out there

Thanks for sharing such valuable information! Just a quick off-topic question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (air carpet target dish off jeans toilet sweet piano spoil fruit essay). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
AI- and Bitcoin-centric data centers should be required (and incentivized) to source their own clean power going forward. If they’ll continue to play an outsized role in driving the generation and consumption of energy in decades to come, it should _not_ come at a continual cost increase to the rest of us.
Yes exactly, renewable energy has enormous intermittency and it produces too much power sometimes

If Bitcoin mining is less attractive to mine it may collapse in my opinion
less people could mine but the mining difficulty will adjust accordingly, bringing things back to the previous rate of blocks being mined.

Let's talk about why they shouldn't and why no one actually needs it and how with all the global warming issues we are using electricity to 'mine' a coin that is a waist of energy
Wrong
The concept of proof-of-work in Bitcoin mining is a key component of the blockchain technology that powers the cryptocurrency. This video did a great job of breaking down the complexities of mining and explaining why it's essential for maintaining the integrity of the network.

How many bitcoins are lost forever?
Sigh. More desperate attempts to tie the lost hype of crypto with the new hotness of AI, even though a) halvenings aren’t new; b) it’s a facile comparison to gush about crypto being like the California gold rush; c) there is hardly a more poor fit between technologies than what blockchains do and what AI needs.
How video editing and bullshitting could join forces.
