You have such a lovely approach to this beautiful horse. It's wonderful to see her curiosity overcoming her nervousness. The two handed touch is very interesting; have you seen 4BP Horses Training programme? It's on TH-cam. I don't know how to do links but it's so worth a watch and the chap Joe uses that two hands on the horse's face technique. It blows my mind to see horse trainers really understanding how horses work and just how gentle you are. I did some horse training in my teens in the UK and I'd say the understanding back then was woeful. Thank you for the privilege and the delight to watch you working.
I like her curiosity and her willingness to watch you before reacting at least - bodes well for her ability to be handled regularly in the future. She sure is pretty!
She looks pretty to me, sturdy too and I think once you can handle her and clean her up, she'll be gorgeous. It's cute how talkative she is with her snortyness 😊 and her ears swivel like a radar station. Does she have a name yet? I'm happy she came to you for learning the basics, looking forward to see her next video and progress 🥰👍
Wow you did fantastic ..she wants to be friends u can see that in her...time and patience will always prevail shes a real beauty ..thankyou for giving her the chance to be loved :)
Beautiful reaction to you and I love your approach! You definitely did far more with her than I would have been willing to try with her behavior, but she was so curious about you and it was wonderful to see.
Somebody used to beat this horse and it started from a young age and that is why she’s like she is she’s been moved around a lot 😮 she don’t trust no one don’t think she ever has. You’re doing an awesome job with her.
Around 2:40 you waved your hand and she turned away, until you dropped your hand and she turned back to you. From then on, she was putty in your hands😊😆
I love how respectful you are with her. My only concern is that you are wearing sunglasses which means she can’t use your eyes to determine if she is safe. I wonder if she would be as reactive if you were not wearing sunglasses.
Thank you, that is definitely an interesting question, I haven’t found that to be an issue when working with horses, as I feel like they watch body language more, but definitely something to think over 👍
@@EicherRanch Thanks for replying. If you do experiment with and without sunglasses, I would love to hear how it goes. I follow a number of horse trainers on TH-cam, which is how I heard about it. It had never occurred to me before that. I had no idea how switched on horses are. They notice everything! Keep up the great work.
I’ve wondered that before and have tried with and without sunglasses. The horses didn’t seem to mind either way. They are watching my body language and not my eyes - I guess.
She could have been abused by one of her owners Some people don’t know how to treat a horse they use force causes reaction and fear We had four horses on farm used them for trail riding & kids loved them Took awhile to get them to trust us
I believe it’s her way of expressing that’s she’s unsure of things 👍 I haven’t seen snot or heard her cough so I don’t believe it’s a cold but great question
Friendly suggestion…take off your sunglasses. Horses can read intention in your eyes 😊👍 Love how aware you are of each little try she gives you. She looks like she’s thinking, “damn! Is this human actually understanding what I’m telling him?? Humans can do that???”😂 well done sir
Just like a horse’s bred for cutting cattle, or for reining, there are horses specifically bred to be bucking stock and love their job, just like other horses love their jobs
Bucking horses need to be handle-able, just for their own safety. If she was not bucky enough, she could have wound up mishandled, or bred and her colt didnt buck. Personally, I like her. Id probably take a chair and go sit by the fence and read an hour a day, just to let her be curious and have a treat or two. Good luck!
Ive been around and ridden similar type horses. One I. Particular ended up a wonderful mount. Never did stop snorting ever. Some folks were scared of him or didn't trust him. I really liked using him. To me it was his way of communicating.

She is a really pretty, elegant moving horse. I really like her.

She has the sweetest kindest eyes and is very curious doesn’t seem at all like she is aggressive she gonna be a great horse
Absolutely 👍
@ funny thing is both our last names are pronounced the same (mine is Eaker)
Absolutely amazing! I can't wait to see the next session with this beautiful mare ❤
I appreciate it 👍

@EicherRanch thank you!

Looks like she likes you...her ears sure are busy! You have her full attention. She always comes toward you a bit.
Beautiful horse
She’s a beautiful girl! Almost reminds me of my Phoenix.

Great job, Nate.
She's one that is easy to work with
Aren’t they all? 😎

Sad, but also god you are helping her❤ Its dangerous, with all that built up tension.
👍👍
Thank you for taking on this project. What a sturdy gorgeous mare.
Has she been used for bucking???
You’re welcome, we don’t know if she’s bucked, hopefully not
She is a neat mare, like her! ❣️🍀
She definitely is 👍
I think she'd be an excellent horse before long.
Such an interesting dragon! Looking forward to more videos of her.
Yes she is!
Nice horse to look at, I like these types, sturdy, strong buy not massive. But wonder if she is ever gonna be a riding/working trustful horse
Time will tell with the riding part 👍
Some horses don't like men because of experiences before. If you are lucky, you'll get a nice reaction from a woman
I've never heard a horse this snorty...I'm not any kind of expert at all just making an innocent comment. She almost sounds like she has a cold...😊...

How’s her eyesight ?
Seems to be good👍
Excellent work.
Thank you
My BLM mustang is reactive like this. I am very interested to see more.
❤❤❤
What a job. Dangerous
Seems this horse has been 'worked' before ( in s not very nice manner ) .
🐴🐎🐴🐎
What's a bucking bred horse?? What a diabolical notion. That's why rodeo is 👎
