Holy moley! I’d be afraid of those cows too!!!
What does the blowing noise she keeps making mean?
Great! I learned a lot and I love your open mind and teachability.,
Enjoyed the video very much thank you so much
Aww Ryan’s three year old did such a good job.
Baby steps are key and yet so much progress…the trust is building.
I’m enthralled! Looking forward to watching your journey together.
His right eye looks much calmer than his left- is that part of his reactivity?
Going to enjoy watching your progress with this gal. 👍
She's gonna make someone a nice mount .❤❤
Love your training. Please ask the photographer to back up so what you are describing is visible. Can’t wait to see more of your videos ❤️
Thanks, this is just a short so it’s up close, the full video is @Eicher Ranch Thanks!
This is PTSD featuring in a horse.

How much significance do you place on the snorting?
Beautiful!
Just watched this lady and horse at a local sorting…they should do an update on the progress of this horse because wow they did good
She is doing great with him!
I think she’s precious. She talks a lot. She’s super curious. Very intelligent. If she finds the right owner she will be such a special special animal❤
Are your aids different from Ryan’s. In one of his videos to get the horse round he said to plant the outside rein as a post, sponge inside rein, add legs, then when you feel the weight in your hands to give on the inside rein. You say to sponge outside rein. So are ryans aids for a more green horse and your aids for fine tuning?

Finally a video/trainer explaining which rein does what and when! No one explains this and I’ve been forever searching. Would love to see how to do this on a more green horse, which is what I ride and cannot accomplish no matter how many techniques I use! Please please do more vids like this but with a greener horse to show what to do and when.

Beautiful horse. I love your calm, quiet way of handling horses. Youre probably my favourite trainer on TH-cam and you illustrate what you are doing and why so well. People often don't realise how much tension horses hold in their ribs, bending makes them stop breath holding and gives them relaxation. Its like if you carry tension in your shoulders and someone gives you a back rub, the feeling is amazing, that feeling coupled with you rewarding him by rubbing his face and releasing him must be so positive in his mind that the experience stays with him and he will try whatever he did again to get the feeling of release and reward.
I appreciate it!
I have one like this but he is not the least bit curious so I haven’t been able to get an in with him.
Loving these videos. I really enjoy seeing/hearing how you progress with a reactive horse and build towards where you need to get, especially with a beast so much more powerful than ourselves. And thanks so much for supporting Ryan in his recent foray into Mustang Magic with Marley. It warms my heart to see the collaboration between great trainers, and I'm sure you helped make his debut a success. I will be returning to the channel :).
Thanks for watching!
Great job 👏
Thanks Ryan!
Thanks to Sally for allowing us to watch her lesson. Thank you Nate, for sharing your expertise.
👍👍
I am learning that breaking your actions down into tiny increments is time consuming but the only way to achieve the trust. Life lessons from horses. Thank you. Feedback: keep doing what you are doing.
It’s all the small steps that make a big difference!
Im a new subscriber, you are very patient in all situations i have seen this video and the white mare that you could not touch at first.
Thanks for watching!
Been watching you with the reactive white mare of Becly's and am super impressed. I think you, moreso than any other trainer really 'sees' from a horses point of view. I'm on the Autism spectrum and been around horses 60 plus years and seeing what they see makes such a huge difference as most people judge them by people standards and dont even consider shadows etc. You are my absolute favourite trainer (not that I need a trainer just its nice to see someone who sees like I do).
If he was an Amish horse, that tells me all I need to know. I have stories and none are good.
This one was not, but I can only imagine
Not all Amish are the same, just as all trainers aren’t the same. I recently watched an Amish trainer ride a horse he put a month or two on and it was beautiful! He never took up the rein but guided the horse into a turn. Not once pulling on the horse. Once the owner hopped on, a different story and the owner isn’t Amish! I would have loved to take a horse to that Amish man and no wonder why he’s at a full schedule with horses.
@@rooirand100 there are good in all people, but the auctions full of kill pen Amish horses worked to the bone is abuse.
@@rooirand100I agree, some of the Amish are really good hands with horses!
Beautiful horse! Horses are way more smart than humans.
Our Friesian just passed away in April, aged 22, he was born with us. I was sure your name was Nate but everyone's calling you Jake?
I’m sorry to hear about your horse, Yes, my name is Nate 👍
I agree that she really likes it and she really wants to try to give you what you ask. The way she keeps looking towards the camera as if to say "whats he doing? Am I doing what he wants?" Like a person looking for some backup. You have great instincts, I was thinking "wrap it up at the high point" just as you said it. I've been around horses for 60 plus years so I'm not being facetious, I really love how you are doing this.
Absolutely 👍
She so wants to be good and do what you want. It breaks my heart how willing horses are to push through their fear to try for people. You are doing a marvellous job. Shes very intelligent and you can see in those little baby steps towards you that she knows that theres relief in trying (even if it hasnt in the past, I think she sees something in you makes her want to try) I am so happy Becky rescued her. Shes beautiful and I would have her in a minute and spend ALL my time trying to build her trust and confidence.
She does want to be good👍👍
Becky is great she does so much for horses❤ Beautiful horse there, she looks very bright. Shes really curious and is obviously wanting to know you but has been scared a lot in her past. I would take this girl in a heartbeat. Thank you Nate and Becky for giving this stunning lady a chance!
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😇🪽🪽🐎❤️🩹🥰💕
I first seen you with Ryan checking out Marley it is amazing she's not running away from you get job holding her attention.😮
@@debbierhodes9125 thanks for the follow!
Love how you play with this mare! I was introduced to you by watching Ryan Rose’s Patreon page when you helped him with Marley. Becky, who rescued this mare, is a good friend of mine. Thank you for helping my friends! I am so impressed with how you’re being with this big, beautiful, mare!
Thanks for following!
So thrilled to have discovered you
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for explaining where you’re pointing yourself to. This is clear instruction I need. I was never taught well how to lunge, the farms I trained in when I was young only did the first example.
Glad it helps!
So interesting! I like this beautiful mare! She is so afraid but curious at the same time. I wonder if it will be possible to even ride her one day!?
New sub hier, just saw you by chance and am very Impressed. I love horses, have never had one myself. Used to ride a bit as I was jounger and am now pushing 70, so its a bit late but I feel and know animals and love them all. Love watching anyone that treats their equines well and know what they‘re doing. Especially problem horses, how they are taught to see things differently and loose fear. So am loving what you are doing and having that patience in doing do. I think that snorting is kinda cute - What does it really mean, just being unsure? Lynda🧚🏼♀️💕
Thanks for subscribing! A horse is snorty for a number of different reasons, can be because they sense danger or are worried or even excited etc
People do this in the warm up pens at shows. Snorting, running, annoying other riders. I like it, training opportunity for my young horse. He learns to pay attention to me not what's going on around him. Others can "yee-haw" all they want around me, I just keep riding my colt. Commonsense, no running around in circles, change directions, get him to face you, do a roll back, something other than mindless circles.
I really enjoy seeing the progression of the horse with your training. I hope you will continue to show us how she responds as time goes on.
Thank you and yes, planning on making it a series
great video. i appreciate that you teach taking your time. she is not the type that will tolerate rushing. looking forward to her progress!
You’re welcome and I agree 👍
I love how slow you are taking it with her. EVERY try on her part is rewarded. She is definitely one that needs reassurance/release every step of the way.
Thanks and yes absolutely 👍
I would like to see how you start riding a horse who has never been ridden before. How you prepare the horse, how the horse will tell you when its ready etc. Best regards from 🇳🇴
Poor horse, wonder what she has experienced from humans! Great job with gaining her trust by being patient instead of chasing her around in a round-pen like many other trainers do!
Wow what a great job of patience with her❤️so patient
Thank you! 🙏
Watching from Australia. I first saw you with Ryan Rose and loved your kind patient gentle approach and have been following you ever since..
I appreciate it, thanks for watching!
