They should have made Boba more like Blondie in the Sergio Leonne trilogy, he was a killer, a liar and a thief but he was also smart, always one step ahead of the real bad guys and never killed an innocent, he only went after anyone who went for him. trying to make him a lovable good guy just killed the character for me, the way almost every other character just tells him what to do is embarrassing.

They have their good moments but the shitty moments far outweigh the good. Obiwan was good as far as Vader moments and Obiwan vs vader was really good imo but Reva was awful, and everything else was pretty shitty. For the Boba Fett show, the only good moments were the episodes that Boba wasn't in.. which is sad. They completely ruined him. Even the actor who played Boba was wondering why they kept having him take off his helmet, etc. He knew they butchered the character too. Only time Boba was cool was when he was in Mando and kicking ass when he got his armor back. After that, he was an old man masquerading as Boba Fett.

Boba Fett's finale is a nightmare. I expected it to be bad, but for it to be so bad... It actually can be even worse than The Last Jedi, and I didn't think that was possible. Well, let's go in order.
Why did you decide to hide in an exploded cantina with three huge holes in the walls? What's stopping the Pikes from just throwing grenades in there and killing you? How will this help you protect the population of the city? How about suggesting the villagers take shelter in your castle for the duration of the fight, Boba? How about using Slave-1 and H-1 to shoot enemies from the air?
Two teenagers on colored mopeds, a Wookiee with a cannon, and two Gamorreans with knives make the perfect team to patrol the entire city. After all, they are all so inconspicuous, so armed and so fast, and there are so many of them, not a single fly will slip through ...
Luke Skywalker is such an irresponsible asshole that he 1) gave a baby who barely understands what is happening around him the choice of who he should be in life - a Mandalorian or a Jedi without the right to change his mind, 2) sent him alone to Tatooine, where he himself was almost killed a hundred times, where his uncle and aunt were burned, where his sister and father were slaves, and where a war of two mafia groups is currently taking place! And he didn't even know that Din was on Tatooine, and he didn't call him to meet him! Did he just order R2 to land at a random location and drop Grogu off?! And after all, what an insane luck that the first person who stumbled upon Grogu was the only person on the planet who knew him! (well, one of three). I didn't think it was possible to fuck up Luke even more than The Last Jedi, but Disney was able to do it without even including Luke in the episode!
The fight itself. Why don't the Trandoshans and Klatoonians have blasters? Why are they attacking Wookiee with guns with knives? The pykes go on the attack on their own, rather than letting their own droidekas in front. How does Fennec drive easily through the streets being shot through? How did it turn out in such places, from where it can easily shoot all the rations in all the corners of the streets (which is logically impossible)? Why is she doing somersaults? How is her bike in the place that was shot seconds ago?
Why didn't Cad Bane and the Pykes shoot Boba, Fennec and Din right after Boba announced there would be no negotiations? Why does Boba lose his temper at the mention of Tusken death? Let me remind you, they captured him, dragged him across the sand on a rope, beat him for fun, enslaved him, treated him worse than a dog until he saved one of them? Why does BOBA FETT say he despises merciless killers? Are you aware that he worked for Darth Vader? Wasn’t he present and chill during the torture of Han Solo, him being freezing alive and feeding people to monsters? He even liked to shoot the Jedi from the ship cannons as a child!
Where did Boba and Din fly from? What prevented them from doing this without sending the major house to negotiations? Why did they land instead of continuing to bombard the Pikes from the air or just fly away? How did the Freetown fighters find them? Why can Pykes hit flying targets but can't hit a huge black Wookiee more than once (except for his shoulder pads)?
Why didn't the droidekas destroy the speeder right away? Why can't they hit the CROWD in the narrow alley? Why does everyone keep firing at their shields when they see it's useless?! Why would a one-armed girl trade a pistol for a rifle when it didn’t change anything?
Why don't droidekas shoot rancor? Are you saying that their cannons can destroy an armored speeder, but they can't seriously injure a rancor? And at the same time, such a monster is afraid of flamethrowers?
Why did Peli Moto (lady mechanic) go with a baby to a city where there is a shootout? How did she find Din?
How did Din just go through the shield at the exact same moment that the rancor was pushing against the shield with his power and couldn't do it?!!! Why didn’t he cut off the second machine gun, but began to stab between them? Why didn't he cut off his legs when he fell? Why is the droideka trying to crush him instead of shooting him? Why is no one following Grogu? When did Grogu become so strong that he could break a giant robot with the Force?
Boba was able to stay on the rancor while it was jumping over rooftops and fighting droidekas, but fell off when the rancor turned away from the flamethrower? Sure...
Cad Bane shoots much faster than Boba and can dodge his flamethrower but can't dodge the stick? By the way, how was Boba able to knock him down and pull out his stick when Cad Bane was literally standing on top of him? It's a shame that such a badass character died in such a terrible show...
Why is everyone shooting at the rancor? Didn't everyone see that he was on their side and that the lasers weren't hurting him? How does Din survive when he is smashed through the walls and rancor literally jumps on him?! How did Grogu learn to put animals to sleep with the Force, and such big ones? Luke didn't teach him that...
How did Fennec find the mayor and the mob bosses' hideout? How did she shoot them through the roof so accurately? How did she teleport behind the main pyke?
Why does everyone in the city love and respect Boba when he destroyed a bunch of houses with his rancor and it was because of him that a battle took place here and people died?
Cob Venth was wounded in the shoulder and is being treated in a bacta vessel. What was that red-haired punk going to do with his lighter...ah, I don't care.
The mechanic lady and majordomo are now officially the most annoying Star Wars characters, worse than Rose Tico and L3-37. Jar Jar Binks was nowhere near them.
Congratulations Robert Rodriguez, you made the worst Star Wars TV episode ever. Yes, worse than the Holiday Special. I haven't seen the Resistance, Ewoks, Droids, Forces of Destiny, or Lego Star Wars, but I don't think it's worth comparing children's cartoons to a big-budget gaming series about one of the cult heroes of the saga.
Season summary: We were promised a story about how Boba Fett would build his criminal empire, something similar to The Godfather, but out of 7 episodes, 4 were spent on Tusken flashbacks, which did not affect anything in the end, 2 were about the Mandalorian and Grogu, and 1 was the most miserable battle in history. Great job, Disney. The Mandalorian was bad, Boba Fett was terrible, and now you've got poor Obi-Wan... LEAVE STAR WARS ALONE! Anyway, thank you all for reading.

He had a full and satisfying arc in that movie, transitioning from cynical and ruthless Rebel operator to a hopeful idealist willing to die for the cause. The problem is that since the guy died at the end of the film, there's really nowhere for his character to go.
It's the same problem Disney has with Jake Skywalker in The Mandalorian and Obi-wan in the Kenobi show: we already know where the characters end up and who they are when they get there. Because of this, there's basically no stakes or suspense. None of the conflict those characters are involved in matters at all, because we already know how it turns out. Logistically, how far away is Jabba's Palace from the city, and why wasn't the Slave 1 used just on that point alone when it would have taken a day, if not hours, for Fredo Fett to ride the rancor back? As with everything in Star Wars, Disney had a golden ticket in Boba Fett. One of the most recognizable and beloved characters, he was built up to be a major villain in Empire Strikes Back but never delivered on the promise. There was so much to build with him, so much that could be done with him. I think in the EU it totals to over 50 books that had him in it, with half of those being the main character. You could make so much about him, and you screw it so badly that the fandom is entirely twisted up.
It's disgusting what Disney has done to Star Wars. There's not an ounce of respect for character consistency, for growth, for universe, for basics of story telling in Disney or Lucasfilm any more. Star Wars universe under Disney is fundamentally broken. It is built on a foundation of failure in the Sequel Trilogies and cannot escape it, nor does it want to. It is willing to destroy the franchise in the name of ideology as seen in Luke having s3xual fantasies in recent books and other such constant destruction of characters. This is not Star Wars, this is an entirely different franchise which shares the same name and faces, same aesthetics, but none of the content.

It makes no sense that this Luke (or Jake Skywalker for that reason) would embrace the “no-attachments” doctrine of the Old Jedi. If anything, he would let Grogu embrace his relationship with Mando. Mando is Boba 2.0 because we can't have our Boba.
And Grogu is simply there for marketing purposes.

And lets not forget Luke himself who was killed again by this show, he says Grogu needs years of traning only let him make a life changing choice and off to a danger zone not 2 days or weeks after that,WTF. Some might say Luke did the same but keepin mind he had his ass handed to him as a teenager, who in his mind would leave a small kid by himself and hope for the best , did the writers not watch his arck and the dangers he faced?
I know , a long comment and most won't agree with what I said but I for one hate it when good storytelling is thrown out the window for marketing purposes and character assasination.
Temuera Morrison deserved better and I strongly believe he could cared this show by himself if he was allowed to.

So many problems and I agree. The best episode of this series was with Mando (which was clearly supposed to be the premiere of Mando S3), but while I liked seeing a Naboo starfighter, he needs something he can live in and--you know--bring cargo on like bounty...because he's a bounty hunter. Next, the episode with Luke. Oh, boy. You can tell this was rushed: I actually think CGI Luke is really getting good (compared to Mando S2 Luke), and want to see where they go with it...but it's still has some ways to go. But that wasn't the issue--it was the script. Dave Filoni is fine for animated SW but his writing just isn't good enough for live-action. Luke's lines are generic, some inconsistent, redundant, and the last scene with Yoda's lightsaber, "This is a lightsaber," he says before igniting it. You think Grogu doesn't know what a lightsaber is by now? He's seen Luke use one multiple times; he was a part of the Old Order...what is this?
I don't get the impression they know what they're doing. I think Gina Carano's absence and the rush job they had to do on this did impact the quality a lot...but the very concept that Boba Fett, a ruthless bounty hunter who almost shot Chewie because the Wookiee was upset about Han going into carbonite and VADER stopped him...that this guy is suddenly all puppies and forgiveness, is ridiculous. First Jake Skywalker, then Jake Fett, now Jake Kenobi. The list is getting long.

I can easily rewrite the whole Luke scene.
Luke looks at the lightsaber in his hand, memories of his time training on dagobah wash over him. " This.... is a lightsaber" he ignites it. " It is a symbol of the Jedi knights to bring light to those who are troubled, without hope, and imperiled. But it is also a weapon to harm as even a slight cut will cause traumatic njuries. It is an object that requires dedication and study to master and as such it is a reflection of the Jedi as a whole, we must study the ways of the force so we may learn how we can best serve the lightside and the people of the galaxy. It therefore means we must put aside our attachments for the greater good. As our attachments interfer with a jedi's need to stay focused on the will of the force . I feel the conflict in you. You are very attached to the mandalorian, it is fine to feel bonds of friendship but it must be tempered with the knowledge that you will most likely outlive him. My master was of your species and he lived for nine hundred years. Will you forsake your friend for a higher calling or will you choose to return to him, knowing he will pass one day by old age or battle?"

Luke, not moving can feel a tremor into the force... A wave of sadness, as he had felt before... he close his eyes, feeling the sun on his face...bringing him back to the fight with his father... As he open his eyes again... Grogu is holding the armor in his tiny hands... Luke look down as a wary smile appear on his face.
''Like i did before you... You choose the different path than to complete your training... A lot of adventures is waiting for you, Grogu. But you are still very young... In time, you may come back...as i did."

The crazy thing is that the Protodekas (the big droids on this episode) were originally supposed to be fucking monsters on the battlefield in the OEU, they just thankfully weren't mass produced is why we don't see them often in the comics and such. This whole thing was KK destroying stuff out of the real Star Wars canon.

No, you DO learn a lot about Fett in the original trilogy, but the thing is it's all given to you via "show not tell".
Putting aside the "no disintegrations" thing... when Vader fucks over Lando, he tells him "I have altered the deal. Pray I do not alter it further." When Vader runs into the POSSIBILITY of fucking over Fett (eg, freezing Han might go wrong) he promises him to make it right and pay him double. Not because Boba scares Vader, because he's someone Vader absolutely, positively wants to retain as a potential hire... and that tells you more about Fett than all the "character development" on BoBF.

Also, you likely didn't have the information at the time but allegedly Grogu has been with Luke for 2 years(!) at this point. What were they doing all the time, why is he still just using the force for fun and enjoyment? Like imagine if Luke spent 2 years with Yoda on Dagobah.

A problem I have with Grogu is that he is 50 years old but acts like a baby. Sorry, but if he's been alive for 50 years, he has to have learned and experienced a lot. Maybe his species doesn't mature the way humans do when they hit puberty, but there is still a gigantic difference between a new born and a 12 year old.

I thought maybe they'd go the route of telling stories about different Mandalorians every couple Seasons, or alternate between them. "The Mandalorian" but it's a different one's story each time. Have them woven into each other's stories periodically and culminate in a big season finale that sees them drawn back to Mandalore.

The writing and direction is pretty bad. This Boba Fett is unrecognizable as the mysterious, dangerous Boba Fett that we loved in the original trilogy. I think they're setting up Fennic as yet another cinematic "Mary Sue," better than her male counterpart, similar to Rey, who was designed to be better than all male jedi. It's just more 'woke' garbage. Woke people should never be put in creative positions, because they hate anything good and spoil whatever they touch in their push to remake the world in their own 'woke' image.

@@trianglemoebius hey at least the Gurl Powah characters in Kenobi were accidentally written to be just as retarded as the men lmfao
But yes, I agree. It's intentional. That's why the show is literally just propaganda. See I can still call it useless because the writers abuse the personalities of established characters to push an agenda.
People complained about politics in the Prequels, but it was literally just in universe world building. Lucas wasn't pushing some political stance like this. Just creating a system in universe and trying to make it believable.
