i always had the game gear version on my 3DS. but seeing fan games remastering the old games makes me happy.
The Master System version is a beautiful port done by the Brazilian company Tectoy (my country 😁)
But sadly, is slower
@@Anemios Not really, the original version of the game in the Master System version isn't slow, it runs the same as game gear, I think it's just slow in the video because of the emulator setting used in the video, or something like that, because the original ROM doesn't run like that

The Master System version is the best because don't have the screen crunch of the game gear version ( the same can be said about Sonic 1, 2, Chaos and Triple Trouble ) I remember the screencrush in Sonic 2 was horrible, it made the game almost unplayable in game gear.
Triple trouble wasn't ported to the SMS officially, but there's a fan made patch that converts the GG rom to SMS compatible and a expanded screen, with a lot of graphical bugs though

The Master System version is playing way too slow in this video... the emulator is probably set to PAL mode. The Brazilian ROM runs at 60Hz just fine in NTSC and PAL-M consoles (despite the name, PAL-M has the same frame rate as NTSC, it's just the color that's encoded differently).

Ignoring the fanmade which is best looking and playing, the Game Gear version looks better because the color seems to be better and have details that wasn't on the later master system port like thr background of green hill zone although the master system version does have a better resolution compared to game gear original but it also leaves some graphical artifacts and empty spaces that wasn't seen on the game gear like the title screen, character selection screen, title cards, results screen, special stages, bosses, the endings, and even during gameplay. The color is also something affected when porting the game gear comparedthe master system since I notice there's slightly more yellowish hue on the master system if you compared it side by side. The game's graphic was so advanced and game's ROM was so large that the master system version can't be played on early models of the sega master system. So it might depend on your taste or something that you have owned only one version of the game. I should mention the master system version of Sonic Blast along with Tec Toy's games and ports were official because it has to be in cooperation with other companies like Capcom, Sega, Universal, Disney, and even 3D realms to release Sega Master System and Sega Genesis games that were exclusively released in Brazil.
"Port" as in ported from GG, or do you mean the SMS as just the other version? Because there is a difference between port and version.

Well it does give it more background and flavor since original was lacking a lot
Also I belive Sonic 4 (ep I esclusively) is the "Ultimate Blast" because the graphics are similar (obviously with "similar" I mean taking in mind that Blast is a 90's game) and Sonic is glossy in there too, which makes me think Sonic 4 is probably how they would've wanted this game to look if it was possible back then.

Both Master System and Game Gear versions are quite bad. It's ironic I prefer Sonic 3D Blast over it.

Why was the master system versions FPS slower?
@MrSquareKirbyGd nah, it was exclusive to brazil. it never was released anywhere else because literally no one outside of brazil was still using the master system. you are still partially right though since brazil uses 50hz (like the majority of europe) while the us uses 60hz.
