    Well done on acknowledging your thoughts and feelings and challenging the cutlery at lunch! Little things that you don’t even realise contribute to the control. I would encourage challenging that tea spoon at breakfast as a next step 😘

    This honestly came when I needed it! I definitely needed to hear your reassurance towards the end of the video, thank you Demi! For my biggest struggle is counting calories and weighing food. I really want tor try new foods and recipes but the mental exhaustion of having to log everything and ‘make it fit’ can get too much so then I just resort to having the same thing all the time. Do you possibly have any advice as to how to overcome this, if/ if not struggled with this? I feel like it’s the biggest thing holding me back from fully committing to letting go xx

    • @Demiproudman
      @Demiproudman  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thankyou so much!! Remember there will be no right time to feel ‘ready’ to face these kind of things we have to take action to see change and become stronger against those thoughts. I know it’s soo sooo hard but you can do it! Personally I have never intentionally counted all of my calories but my best advice is to gradually begin to not do it so set yourself a little goal of not doing a day and see how you feel or don’t do the morning and then build on it and gradually you will begin to see that nothing bad happens and you don’t need to have the numbers or calculations having such a hold or control over you! I’m so proud of you, make small changes and build on them ❤

      @@Demiproudman Definitely. You’re like a totally different person, definitely in a good way. Your personality shines & you give so much help to people who are going through the same thing.
      I feel that the advice you give isn’t always how you feel or what you want to do. By saying the things to your viewers that you don’t necessarily believe is a great way of healing yourself. You are saying all the right things & telling your ED to f*** off. Convincing yourself & your viewers that YOU ARE doing the right thing.
      You did say in this video that you did cry at one point, but never showed it.
      I just want to say that you don’t have to worry about crying on camera.
      On screen you seem like this happy & contented person who doesn’t look like they are struggling. But we all know that’s not the case. I’ve always felt that you never really show your vulnerable side. You tell us that you’re scared about trying something that you’ve made, but that’s all. I don’t want you to feel you have to mask in front of us. There’s no shame in crying or showing your vulnerability to us all. What you’re doing is bloody hard. So please share these moments of vulnerability because nobody would think any less of you. Obviously if you’d rather keep that side private then that’s also ok. Never do things that you want to do for anybody. This isn’t me telling you what to do, I’m just saying that there is no shame in sharing your vulnerability because we all understand. You do what’s right for you. But if there are times that you want to share but feel you can’t, I’m just letting you know that there is no shame in that & nobody is going to judge you.
      I hope I haven’t said anything that’s made you feel bad or that I’m being pushy, I promise you I’m not. I only want you to know that we are all here for you whether you’re laughing, crying or just need to ramble.
      Keep going Demi you are a very special person 😘💕 xxx

I would never comment anything nasty. But if you do find my posts often making you feel worse then please tell me. I’d rather know. Sending live & hugs, 😘💕 xxx

      @@Demiproudman @Demiproudman I hear you, but I think this is another place where you have to put your likes aside and do what is necessary. Your breakfast (and all meals) should be around 800 or more calories. Can you truly say that is what your bowl of yogurt added up to? This doesn't need to be VOLUME. Like have a proper portion of oatmeal and then to help increase the calories, use cream instead of milk, have the FULL FAT yogurt, double up on the chocolate topping and add WAYYY more nut butter girl, not just a tinny spoonful. You need to do things BIG. Not just little spreads or little sprinkles. That won't get you (or anyone who has been starved) better. You truly need to make each meal as calorie dense as possible and with the most fats. Just DUMP that oil in the pasta dish. Add all the cheese on top. In your sandwich, USE BUTTER. Doesn't matter if you don't care for the taste. This is your health. My sister currently has cancer. Of course she would rather not go to chemo. It makes her not feel good and sick. But she has said she would do anything for her health (even if she were in my position. She would do everything needed) Our likes go out the window in this. I think too many people are making recovery out to be this "fun" and "light" thing. Yes it can be enjoyable to try new foods and eat fear foods again. But overall, it's a medical diet and it's about eating enough and enough of the right foods. It's not just "have a snack of whatever" when you are hungry. That snack needs to be ENOUGH and count. It needs to provide all the calories. Every meal and snack needs to be enough. It's hard. I know. But it's possible. You really just have to do it. I was served SUPER thick creamy oatmeal with oil pools on top. If I had to choose, no I wouldn't pick it. But nobody picks the chemo either. It's what is needed to get better. I ate that oatmeal. I ate my 500 calorie snacks. I ate my meals loaded with butter and cream and nuts (my oatmeal was made with milk and cream and oil, ground nuts into the oats, sugar, etc. ) I had my drinks with each snack and meal. It wasn't just for taste or a few chocolates after dinner. It would be a FULL chocolate bar, plus sides and a drink (not water). You are very motivated. I can see it!! But I think it's time to REALLY do the hard stuff. You have to put your wants aside. It will be hard. But think of how you would help your child. Or a friend. I find it helpful to think that way. Act like a doctor to yourself. Serve and prepare yourself the meals you would for a starving child. Would you give them a few dates for a snack? Would you serve them some pasta and a light tomato sauce? That child needs fats. And LOTS of them. Those meals and snacks will just keep them sick. They don't deserve that. You don't!! I have lots more to say, I am sorry my comments are always so long, lol. Perhaps I could private message you instead haha. Anyways, I didn't know all this before. I learned it. And I think more people need to know. It takes A LOT more than they think. And it's not always fun or what they want. It's literally just doing the plan and what is needed. That's all.
