just wanted to add something here since it seems my video is blowing up a tiny bit lol so most of the gameplay people have seen in this game is savage enclave (the starting map) and i said it when i was playing with Worth A Buy, i said it in the forever winter discord and i will say it here now...in my opinion ashen mesa should be the starting map not savage enclave. ashen mesa is way more forgiving for mistakes when you are just starting out on the game so my advice is this when you play the game for the first time you will have to get through savage enclave once for the tutorial, once you have done that go into the menu and put the region you want to play in as ashen mesa, it will save you a lot of stress and frustration trust me

I've shown your footage to some peeps to give contrast to another content creator who shall remain nameless (mostly cuz is a lame name lol, but who am I to judge?) and prove that there are 2 sides to every story... thanks again, and maybe offer some tips in video form, since the game seems to have some odd particularities... Just came from another content creator who bugged out because they were trying to be that guy and failing miserably and laying out all sorts of cope blaming the game's mechanics (He complained that enemies just automatically know where you are after brazenly shooting them within their eye line and completely out of the cover he was in a second before, or the second time he died after a warning on the screen of nearby enemies claiming they just randomly spawned in). seeing your gameplay here is like night and day and you're a complete 180 to how they treated their comment section. Great run here, gives me a real vibe check for the game seeing a competent gamer show it off.
Looks fun, good to see some more advanced play. Most videos are just of the beginning of the game, so they don't have any of the cool gear. Baiting the enemies with bullet impacts is kind of like the "rock throwing" mechanic in other stealth games.
Propably the best representation of the game I've seen yet that wasn't made by a complete lobotomite. Whoever is responsible for their PR did more damage than good by many of the choices.
Really nice gameplay showing what the game will be when you have better gear. So many people are taking the intro missions and their associated difficulty as "this is how the whole game is". Really liked the ringing the bell tactic you displayed toward the end. Fight where you want to fight.
@@wolfman9671 if you plan your actions you should be able to make it out of any situation really, if i had just ran straight at the hind near the exit as an example it would of wiped me out easily but i shot my p90 to intentionally draw it away and luckily for me europan soldiers were nearby so it started attacking them while i made my escape also you can wipe squads even with the surplus rifle...it's just a lot harder to do :)
this is the first gameplay video where it looks like someone knows what their doing. aiming in third person at nearly melee range combat rather than ADS in first person and missing every shot. looks so awkward. i didnt know you could even ADS in third person til watching this video. it looks so much more comfortable that way.

This game looks absolutely friggin awesome. I could care less about wall hacks, goofy AI, some bad textures or WHATEVER. Fortunately I'm smart enough to realize its not in its final state and my have some hiccups here and there. Hurry up and take my money Forever Winter!!!
Its a game I really look forward to, but can you turn off the detection and aggro indicators? This will be the first thing I try to tune playing Early Access. Definitely feedback I'd love to send to the devs because that is a TON of UI clutter for squads of infantry and cyborgs. Could be tuned down to be a single indicator on player HP, or even disabled for lightest units. Gameplay was really good, enjoyed seeing what a scav is actually capable of and I 100% plan on recording and playing this game.
personally i wouldn't mind just a bethesda style detection system where if you are detected it would say it at the bottom of the screen so that you know someone is gunning for you i also don't like the markers above the enemies heads, really ruins the immersion aspect a bit for me
The game looks awesome and I can't wait to play it. One thing I noticed is the audio seems a bit wonky and unbalanced. Some sounds are extremely loud but the choppers are hardly making any noise for example.
is opening a container (box, corpse, etc.) to check the 1st item then immediately leave really that good of a strat? are you looking for something specific, is it better to check only the 1st item then move on before you get shot at? interesting watching this video to learn some useful tips!

One thing which is not very realistic is how MC sprints and jumps carrying 50+ kg of weight. If you had to move slow with full load, that would be much harder. Cool video, though.

I think (he) is clicking “loot all” and that takes everything before you discover all the items. I dont have the game so I don’t know if there is a minimum timer and you have to discover the first item before you can loot all. It appears that way though.
the ai didn't spawn behind me, if you listen you will hear their footsteps as they come up the catwalk and then their radio chatter which is what alerted me to them. the ads to loot is already a known problem which im guessing will be fixed in EA...the helicopter though yeah it's a bit odd but if you watch closely you can see little blue boxes appearing where it moves to so i don't think it was completely finished at the time of this build im playing on. that would explain the lack of sound too
They need to work on the helicopters movement...it is really bad and takes me out of immersion, also adding the downdraft from the choppa when it is low and raises a dust storm (more cover).; adding small drones to the arsenal so you can see ahead and even use as a decoy or trap. Also why not being able to scrap the big downed aircraft and mechs.
He's playing a Pre Early Access build. Meaning that the build coming out tomorrow will be more updated than what you see in this video. Does that mean that the helicopter's movement is fixed? Nope. Even if it isn't 100% yet, guess what? It's Early Access. They're still actively developing the game. If you want the game to succeed, get it at a great price, and possibly have some input on the current state of the game for the developers, then yes, buy it tomorrow. But please understand what the game currently is right now, what it isn't, but most importantly what it could be.

And then another thing is,the more troops you kill the heavier shit you'll encounter next time,so really,going on a killing spree isnt the best thing to do.(saying this solely from the knowledge i gathered from different vids about the game mechanics i never actually played it)
That's because other channels seem to only play the early game where your character is really weak, as you progress you get better gear and there's also character skills to unlock and prestige.

Hes also being smart by playing by range with the infantry on that bridge or drawing the cyborg zombies down a choke point so he can easily shoot them down. He ignored getting into a lot of gun fights with those early on infantry, likely because they easily could outshoot him in close range. Not to mention the nearby heli, drones, and tanks.
True but the dude is geared to the gills on a map that seems to no be overrun by either faction and isn't at night, I'd assume his factions are balanced and neither is winning for the map to be that "calm" (not exactly calm but not completely overrun).
@@VB2P360 oh i got a bit lucky with that run and to be honest i don't think the map control is in the pre early access, not seen any indicator that one faction is controlling the map more than the other. sometimes on ashen mesa you will see the huge mechs marching around the place and tanks driving all over the place
Were those Eurasian cyborgs? You seem to have pretty good rep with Eurasia, would they still be hostile? And why do you need so much ammo, are you going to war with someone?
The only thing I don't like about this game is the cyborg zombies. I feel like they're pretty antithetical to the original message that the player should not only avoid combat at all costs, but also that the enemies around them will have better things to do than target the player. The cyborg zombies will target anything around them, and act mindlessly.

90 + single fire rifle is literally peak loadout unless you personally have high pistol skill. But also, wont save you vs armor.

to be fair if you try to wipe out squads with the first few weapons you have you will end up dead quicker than you can blink

there is a toggle for pure third person aiming but it zooms the camera in to the point where your guy takes up like half your screen
