We’ve also used rags to replace paper towels. Trader Joe’s sells organic cotton versions. People are so weird about “contamination” when we are so lucky to have washing machines. We use cloth napkins as well with a family of five. We switched to white bedding and towels. Bleachable, goes with everything.

I know. My thing as a cashier is when people need to sign something and use their own pen. Ok, you don't want germs from the pen but what about the germs from touching merchandise others have touched, as well as the doors, etc. Some people take it to far, but that's my opinion!

I have separate wash clothes to clean the bathroom, and another set to clean everything else in the house, then wash them separately.

I am in the process of becoming a person of minimalism. I own a cleaning business use the mops with washable cloth heads and they work great. Also- I love to use tea tree and essential oils/ lemon/ and vinegar to clean. I hate putting chemicals into the environment and adding to the already trashed earth. I am conscious of using energy too... water etc. we use these as if they will never run out. Time to become earth conscious. Also- we are consumers. Things have become trash which has in turn added to the problem. Also- material is only a distraction to look inward for all your needs.

If you add salt in the water (1/4 cup should be enough) when you first wash the shower curtain, it will prevent mildew so you won't have to wash as often.

I’ve found that the reusable mats for the bottom of mops like yours actually do a better cleaning job than the disposable ones!

I bought a cheap inner cloth liner and cut it shorter (they make them so long?!🤷🏼‍♀️) so that the excess no longer piles at the bottom the of the tub but still keeps water from splashing out during a shower.
Having it shorter allows it to dry faster so it doesn’t get as gross as quickly. Its been a game changer🙌🏻
    Great tips!!!

In my country, Brazil ( I speak Portuguese too 😊), we use rags for cleaning. Floors also, we wrap them around the broom and wash them after all. It was a big surprise when I moved to the US and realized how much waste of these kinda of material that goes with mops and the wipes too.

Hi kyra I’m a dietary aide also, I started using rags at work and now in my home. Paper towels are such a waste of money and a waste to the environment! Good tips 🙂

I wash my plastic liners in the washing machine and air dry it. If there stains I would spray the areas down usually at the bottom with come kind of cleaner. And it comes out nice and clean. Try it!

The plastic liner for bathtubs, you can rewash them. Not all, but Target sells some for like 10$ that I refused for a long time.

I was wondering if you read any minimalist books? I just ordered The More Of Less by Joshua Becker. Also, as an off topic question, I saw one of your older videos about your car nightmare story. So I was wondering how you got the car you have now without getting ripped off again. And do you look for savings in the long run ( such as some car replacement parts can be cheaper if you don't have an expensive car like a cadillac )?

The art of tidying up by Marie kondo is so good the I've read so far. If you have a library card you might be able to use it on the overdrive or hoopla apps to borrow free audio books as well, if your library participates.

I have been loving your videos lately. I know your into reusable eco friendly things like me. I thought I’d give a suggestion on a non plastic shampoo/conditioner/bodywash from a company called PlaineProducts. They help and cut down on plastic bottle use in the world.

It's very simple to have a plain cotton mat instead of a polyester/foam one.

My mats are from Ross and they're cotton, I wash them often because they are white, but they're very absorbent... I love them... nice tips, I'm trying to be minimalist!

I didn't know they made washable shower mats! Mine is clear and looks gross! I've tried to bleach it and scrub it but the water where I live has a lot of minerals and it never looks clean despite my best efforts. I'm going to buy a washable one and throw this disgusting one in the trash. Also, I buy these shower curtains called Hookless from Lowe's. They are washable and don't require hooks but after time they start to look dirty even though I wash them. Again, it's the bottom part that gets gross. I'm going to try the one's in your video so hopefully the minerals will come out in the wash.

Good luck hun I hope it works. Also when I purchased my shower curtain it was always dragging in the shower. Until a subscriber suggested for me to cut the extra material off👍🏼 that was such a brilliant idea the bottom never gets dirty anymore.
