💁🏽♀️Kyra, I'm old enough to be your mom. Give 0 f's to how people CHOOSE to see you. The truth is, all those girls judging your appearance, don't look put together ALL the time. You look like most all of us, in everyday life. That's reality. Trying to look perfectly together ALL the time, is not realistic. You are genuine & I appreciate that🌸
Looking like this? Do you mean looking absolutely gorgeous and stunning? And I mean it sincerely. You're absolutely beautiful. We women should not always try to perform to society. Your natural look is everything 💜
I donated 2 boxes of clothing and kitchen items last week. I noticed how much faster it goes when you declutter and keep up with it. My problem was holding on to things I thought I would use and never did. Even cleaning is easier.
Thank you Kimberly! I wish society was different too but unfortunately I blame the media and false advertisement on what “beauty standards should be”. I always hope that this would change one day though 🙂
Hi Kyra! I have been going through a long life edit for a good year or so. I have decluttered (still decluttering), sold or donated my old clothes, removed myself from social media and trying to live mindfully and minimal. I still find myself falling into the traps of shopping when I don't need to or looking at others and thinking I need to have what they have but as time goes by I feel so amazing that I am becoming my own person with my own thoughts and things. My space is getting clean and relaxing to be in. Instead of buying and buying we're renovating. Your tips, tricks and wisdom has definitely helped me so much throughout all these years! And I have so much more quality time with my baby. Thank you so much ❤
Great video Kyra. I agree with everything you said. I would also add cheap home decor.. aka dust collectors! I enjoy living with less.. I’m still working on decluttering but enjoying the process even if it’s slow. Have a great day!
Kyra you are a beautiful. Kind hearted young lady. We know you are not like other youtubers and that's what makes many of us watch your channel. You dont need to put yourself down. You have a family, partner, and Milo that loves you at the end of the day that's what really matters. Believe me, you are more fortunate than the majority of people in the world! Trust me. I learned from experience quality and crap can be found at all price points. But i liked hearing the update on dollar store, i was curious if you still found worthwhile items there. I also dont go there as much anymore either. For clothing, i more pay attn to fabrics esp since i live somewhere humid year round, so i know polyester or acrylic tops are a no go unless i need warmth. Synthetic pants im okay with since they are wrinkle resistant, easy to wash, and dry quickly. In my experience spending more on kitchen items is worthwhile to have good quality knife, pots/pans, garlic press, tea holder, etc... it makes prepping, cooking and cleaning process much easier.
Hyped luxury brands. Even though i could afford them. I prefer to buy good quality pieces which are timeless from smaller brands but not to pay triple the price or more just for marketing. That way i save and invest more and look even more put together than someone full of tacky logos 😊
@catlena29 for nice clothes Karen Millen, for lounge wear Hollister gillihicks, Halara for sportswear My favourite country British brands are Holland Cooper for clothes and Fairfox & Favour for boots and handbag.
I'm learning to buy high quality items second hand. Better made pieces last forever. I go to goodwill and rummage sales to buy linen and cotton clothing from good sustainable brands, and skip the fast fashion completely and don't buy retail any longer
Ur content resonates with me!! People think that I’m crazy. I prefer to buy a shirt that’s a little expensive, but it lasts me a long time. Quality over quantity!! Thank you for this content! I thought I was alone
@@ronnie-lynn can I just say how wholesome and sweet this interaction was? The internet is so toxic seeing someone say “I should be thinking about blah blah blah.” Instead of some nasty reply is just so refreshing. Hope you’re having a great day!
Press on nails is another story for me 😂. I use glamnetic and kiss. Mine last 13 days, then i clean with a drill and reuse 1 more time. I also dont buy unless there is a 30% coupon or bigger! ❤ Nails is the one the thing I always have done
You're a natural beauty, Kyra. And an intelligent one, as well! I needed to hear the press on nails advice. Can you believe that one time I went on a shopping spree and bought a ton of press on nails!? Only to find that some didn't fit my nail beds 😭 I still like press ons for a special occasion, maybe... but I'll stick to plain nails and my trusted nail polish from now on.
Comfy clothes! Let your body have circulation! I have too many clothes and am trying not to be tempted to buy anything other than food. You’re beautiful and there’s nothing wrong with how you look! ❤thank you for sharing yourself I appreciate you!
I have been shopping at Ross and marshals since I was a teen. I’m 37 now and still shop there my clothes last 5-10 years . There are nice brands you just have to shop around. I recommend extra high waisted crazy yoga legging They are butter soft, thick material, they dont roll down I really like there high waisted biker shorts to you can pick your length I get 5 inches not short not long. They are the best legging I’ve ever had , they smooth me out , don’t roll, I just had a baby and gained alot of weight and these make me feel so comfortable.
I agree with you on everything except the kitchen sets. I bought a dishware set when moving to my first Apartment and it was a great decision! My Apartment was a place for all my friends and siblings and I needed a lot of plates, cups and bowls 😊 so I think it depends on your lifestyle, I personally saved a lot of money with this set and I still have all the dishes even though I've moved more than 5 times 😂
And the worst of all is companies like SHEIN and temu exploit humans. These people are working in poor conditions being paid pennies so we can buy cheap clothes. They may be cheap for us but expensive labor by others who don’t get compensated what they deserve.
about the kitchen I did that, the only things that I bought in sets, it was because the quantity or amount (like, the plates came in 4, 4 deserts ones and 4 regular ones) was right for me, so I saw everything that came in and yeah, I would buy like that if it was separate
makeup I also don't buy cheap ones, unless I know it is of good quality even with the lower price, cuz I had them dry it out so fast, and since I'm not an everyday makeup person, I need my stuff to last, I believe that the only item you may "need" to have more than one is lipstick, and maybe around 2~4, I admit I have more but its about how much you use, but besides that, 1 foundation, 1 powder, 1 mascara, 1 eye palette (if u choose a good one it's all your need, if they are small and u like to adventure in more shades maybe 2, I also try to buy ones that ill use all colors, not easy for everyone but u can try to pick one that u use most of colors)
My favorite leggings are from the brand pact, they are 85% cotton and 15% elastane, they are suuuupper stretchy ethical, sustainable, and cost like 35$
The inexpensive/fast fashion also don’t pay their workers a living wage. Smaller wardrobes can be easier to maintain and they can take away from decision fatigue for those of us with autism/adhd. 💜
Where I bought my press on nails it worked out to .20 cents for 10 fingers. There is enough for me to do my nails for over 2 years (over 250 pieces) and cost me $5. And the glue I buy separate and it costs me $12 for 4 bottles and I use 2 bottles a year. One set lasts me a little over 3 weeks. It’s kind of a one nice thing that I do for myself. It’s my signature purple nail. That makes me feel nice, but I never really took into consideration the environmental factor before. 💜
I have some I am using up. I have figured out how to make them last on me and if I am careful removing them I can reuse them. I probably won’t buy them again but I have at least a years worth to get through.
I dont get fast fashion. I buy an item bc I wanna wear over and over again 😂. If it wasnt bc of weight gain, I would have clothing for ever. But yeah, Im proud of buying quality materials and having forever ❤❤ and p.s. u look great ❤
I don't know how things are where you live, but don't you have charity shops/thrift shops in your area? I don't even live in the US, so i don't know, in the UK we've got loads. And usually, you can find good quality items, depends on the day of the week. I mostly shop at those kind of stores, just out of principle, because i don't want to create more waste and because i hate being dressed like everybody else.
I get press on nails for special occasions, (Rare) because it much cheaper then getting them done. Also try to not be hyper focused on how you look or what you wear, it will attract the haters.
These type of videos will come one day once I learn “how to make more money” and how to invest”. When it comes to 2nd hand shopping these days I’m not doing much of that either since the thrift stores in my area are extremely expensive and I have no desire to spend money I don’t have on things I don’t need at the moment. I still hope you enjoy the simple minimalist content.

Press on nails have never worked for me either… total waste of money, time and bad for the environment.
Thank you Kyra for your top notch content ❤❤❤❤
Really. I can do mine and they last me 3+ weeks. But I should be thinking of the environmental factor though, as I had not.
@@ronnie-lynn can I just say how wholesome and sweet this interaction was? The internet is so toxic seeing someone say “I should be thinking about blah blah blah.” Instead of some nasty reply is just so refreshing. Hope you’re having a great day!

Shoes!!! I just can't with the cheap painful shoes anymore. It's a no from me;)

Good evening, Kyra. I loved the Music in the intro of this video. Sounds like a stylish bossa-nova😍. What is the name of the song?
Thank you!
Lena

90% of my household is second hand - from dishes to clothes to books and rugs. It's the way to go!
This is so true. Primark is a big one in the UK and I tried some things from there and they lasted maybe 3 washes 😭
Everything you say is GOLD darlin. I actually like sentimental personally
Thank you Claire 🥹🤍
Also, most of that cheaper clothing is not ethically made❤
Great video :) Miss your girl chats and vlogs
Loved this video ❤
I love using press on nails for pictures only. Family photos.
I get press on nails for special occasions, (Rare) because it much cheaper then getting them done. Also try to not be hyper focused on how you look or what you wear, it will attract the haters.
Talenti sorbet and ice cream is a treat that I do buy at the dollar store. Otherwise there are just a few things I buy at the dollar store.
You said avoid buying cheaper clothes does that include buying clothes at thrift stores? 🤔 And I loved this video 🙂

Maybe you should consider changing up the content or adding content. For example how to make more money, investing, or 2nd hand shopping.
