  • This bike / walk combo takes in the Munro of Sgor an Lochain Uaine, otherwise known as Angel's Peak.
The plan for the walk was to also take in Cairn Toul and Braeriach as well. However time was too short. This round trip took 9 hours with the aid of a bike, but a full round of all three munros would add maybe two more hours on to the overall trip time.
This is a remote walk, but also one that takes in the finest views of the Cairngorms. Most people will incorporate it as part of an overnight hike, but it is possible to do with the aid of bicycle via Gleann Einich.
As seen on the video, these mountains hold onto their snow long after other lower mountains have seen their snow melt away.

Did the exact same approach to Braeriach in 1972! I walked the length of Glen Einich from Coylambridge and headed off up the brae to the top of Braeriach, quite a climb I too ran out of time to take in Cairntoul and headed off back down the wide ridge above the Lairig Ghru until we dropped into the lairig and back to the campsite at Loch Morlich, it was a beautiful summers day in that golden time of mid May, no midges, brillaint I will never forget it! Enjoyed the video a trip down memory lane!

A most enjoyable video Anthony made even better without music. Why does everyone feel their videos need a soundtrack???? Your route was most interesting and as far as i can tell you are the only one out of thousands of Cairngorm videos that has posted this particular route. One can have too much of the Lairig Ghru
