This legit works. But I used 10% Dawn and 50-50 water and vinegar. Really don’t need that much dawn. The secret is the hot water. I boil it and mix it into the dawn and vinegar mixture. The second secret is the scrubbing. Leave it 5 minutes max, otherwise it may dry on the glass.
And then once cleaned I use RainX on the glass to cause the water to run off. I use a squeegee after the shower and we never use solid soap in the shower with glass doors. Using a liquid soap or body wash will prevent soap scum like bar soaps can create.
Get the 0000 steel wool, it has to be the finest one. Do a little test are to make sure it doesn't scratch it (it did not scratch my glass at all!!) I've found it's the absolute best way to remove impossible soap scum.
@@elnazhamai Could be we're both right. The ones I do aren't as bad as that one. Once you're winning - in the eternal battle between human and shower glass - CRL and microfibre cloths is super quick n easy. Tell you what I can't do - hob burners. How do you do them without scratching?
I used scrubbing bubbles soap scum variety and allowed it to sit/soak like 15-20 minutes then came in and lightly scrubbed and voila. But then I was cleaning houses like 20 years ago professionally and did so for 30 plus years.
My glass doors are so cloudy. I've tried this method but it didn't work. I don't think the shower glass was dry and I didn't heat it up so I'll try again. Thank you
@@shvdow7189 I still haven't tried it on dry doors. I did come across another video that said to use isopropyl alcohol and vinegar with a magic eraser. That didn't work either but I may not have let it sit long enough
@@shvdow7189 I did try it but the doors were wet so I want to do it again but apply the paste when the glass is dry. Please let me know your results 🙏 🙂
Does this also work for limescale deposits? I've been scrubbing away at that for years and tried every method the internet has thrown at me to get rid of it, including Brillo pads and all sorts of vinegar mixtures. Still grey stripes on the inside of the shower panes.
I use Hg professional limescale remover from Amazon and it removes everything, even the caked on limescale from years of build up if you soak it in tissue and leave it on, keep doing that and it comes right off, my shower glass is finally shiny lol
Yes you do have to heat it up if you want a better result. When you heat the solution it will help the vinegar and dish soap to get mixed. I could not scrub it away with any homemade cleaner and even with this solution you can still see some stains left behind. I’m not sure about chemical cleaners out there. I don’t use any 😊
@@elnazhamaiwhat is the name and/or li k for that little electric scrubber please 🙏 ❤ I have a similar one I bought on temu , but I really like that little pad ur using ! Maybe I can just add a little buffing pad to mine 🤔
Remember, it also depends on the amount of high mineral deposit, or hard water within your water system at home. For instance if you are running off of a well, that is not fully filtered of any minerals or debris, or if you use strictly your cities water system that is not entirely free of calcium deposit or other minerals. Either way, it is not distilled water. Most likely it is very hard to rid of it completely. We see that at the bottom of her glass by the end of the video. I struggle with this while cleaning too! 😕
@elnazhamai after cleaning, apply rainx water repellent with that little electric buffer or a buffing sponge, or fluffy soft microfiber cloth; the water will bead off the doors keeping the doors cleaner LONGER so u don't have to squeegee after every shower ❤

The point of the dawn is to make a film so that it doesn’t dry out after 5 mins
Add in rubbing alcohol, the alcohol breaks down the calcium you typically see.
And then once cleaned I use RainX on the glass to cause the water to run off. I use a squeegee after the shower and we never use solid soap in the shower with glass doors. Using a liquid soap or body wash will prevent soap scum like bar soaps can create.
“most” of the soap scum is gone.. 😒 I guess I’ll give it a try
🤣☠️🤣☠️🤣. Yup at least she told us. Who has the 99% and up method

Lol. After all that effort! Just use CRL and microfibre cloth.
I have tried that but this works the best :)

S.O.S or Brillo, they work very well. I’m housekeeper and would recommend this products
Those are extremely abrasive, no?
@@Jackdman25 no, it’s not, they are not no bad for your health and don’t scratch the glass either
This seems abrasive on glass and will leave micro scratches that will fill in with dirt and darken over time
This is one of my challenges. Thank you for all your tips 👌👏🥰
Magic erasers always work for my every time idk why lol
Do you need any liquid product, or just water?
Cause they’re magic haha

What’s the name of the cleaning tool you using
It turned out wonderful ❤
What's the name of that electric scrubber
women vibrator
Home depot sells drill attachments in a similar style might get the job done faster tbh
CLR works too
Quedo reluciente ❤❤❤
Can I use same solutions and then magic eraser instead of the scrubber?
great tip thankyou 😊
LOL! The after still shows some soap scum.
Yes as I said it’s much better

Bar keepers friend works on glass and it will get ALL the hard water, soap scum and lime deposit off the glass, just like new.
Where did you get the cleaning tool you used on the glass?
Amazon has them.

How about if don’t have microwave? Can be heated on stove? ❤❤❤
Use a dryer sheet. While in the shower, rub the dryer sheet on the glass door, spray the door with water, squeegee it dry, voilà, a clear door.
Do you use the dryer sheet after showering or is this the way you clean the shower doors? Thank you!
You’re putting a film on the shower glass, why would you do that. What do you think is in the dryer sheets
Continue to use the squeegee after every shower.
Where did you get your brush
Just use a magic eraser on it.
Bar Keepers Friend works great also
Is there an alternative to Dawn soap?
Regular dish soap might work

How often to do it?
If every time after each shower you squeegee the glass doors then really no need to do this that often 😊

Can you do a video for those pink mold in the shower

What’s dawn?
Don't say "dawn dish soap", say dishwashing liquid as your post is online and people might not know what brand you're even talking about.
🎉 totally not together the ballpark Grand Slam over the fence this is crazy
I would expect ALL the soap scum to be gone. Not, “most”.
That’s too much soap 😲
If you know what to treat the glass with you won’t have to keep doing that.
Or use carpet cleaner
TOILET CLEANER!!!
I don't like clear doors.
Didn’t work for me ☹️
Then you windex it too
Years of soap scum, 😳
Forgot to mention that I would need a squeegee and a spinny thingie. 😞
NEWSFLASH: it doesnt work
Just use diluted isopropyl alcohol and vinegar. Wipes off in seconds with no effort or heating. This is a pointless hack.
