    Great technique, thanks for sharing.
I am officially 1 week post my ACL Reconstruction Surgery and can do your week 1 exercises comfortably. This gives me great confidence!
Will definitely follow all your rehabilitation vids..

Day 17 postop - still some swelling and don’t have full extension, although pretty close to it.
Can do all your exercises for a few days now, I’m just too afraid to stand on injured leg alone :)
Finally waking with one crutch, can walk up to 4km a day + doing exercises twice daily and stretching knee arbitrary number of times a day whenever I feel like it.
And while extension feels like a very tangible goal, I was so proud when I could 1) take a standing shower 2) make myself a tea and carry it by myself 3) go for a walk and get a haircut in a nearby salon
I’m sure we all will get there! Thank you for exercises!

Great video, I am at week 2 now and can do these exercises ! I am sleeping terribly as not quite got the understanding of sleeping on my back and having to have stillness constantly 🙈

I’m 9 days post op and the week 1-2 exercises seem to be going well, I just worry about weight bearing as that’s what seems to give me sharp pains (not sure if that’s a worry or normal though). Also not sure if I am allowed to sit at a desk yet and if so, how is best?

A week post reconstruction and I'm fully off crutches and can complete most of the exercises shown in the video. My knee feels ok, just moments of instability and an ccasional dull ache/ numbness.

Either we are not in the right place or something else is off here. How can you do these exercises 2 weeks after the surgery? I mean, i can barely move my foot, after surgery, i am now 16 days post operatory. Let alone loading my weight on it. It seems to recover well, no swelling, no complications, but it‘s still too early to put any weight on it, my body tells me.
Before injury i went 4 x times a week doing HITT training, played racquet sports.
What i find here is not realistic timeline, and exercises given this timeline.

      1. Everyone’s situation if different. Every surgery can differ dependant on various factors such as re-tear/meniscal involvement/complications post surgery to name a few.
      2. Weight bearing as tolerated post surgery is typically advised, sometimes dependant on procedure a brace/non weight bearing for a period will be advised which generally throws a routine protocol out of the window.
      3. If you’re questioning this video and it’s content google the ‘Fowler Kennedy ACL protocol’ which outlines pretty much similar exercises
      4. These videos are for educational purposes only and should not be substituted as medical advice.
      5. The video is based on a general routine ACL and as mentioned above different situations will lead to different outcomes & timelines

Keep to your own recovery , this is my second week today 8/3/2024 and I’m doing the exact same as the guy in this video. I had ACL and medial miniscous removal ! My difference is I ice all at every day for the swelling and try to little stretches daily it gradually increases your resistance to move forward. But like I said everyone is different so the video relates to a few of us 👍

Keep in mind these videos are acted out with a healthy knee. He is following "google" guidelines not a well educated surgeon . Do NOT expect such progress generally rather it's individually based. Give yourself a lot of time in recovery rather than doing the same OP twise. After all is just a content on YT for cicks.

Are you seriously telling ppl that they can do full weight bearing exercise in week two without support ?

    • @sportrehabguide
      @sportrehabguide  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

ACL protocols are FWB exercise as tolerated. You are encouraged to FWB unless it’s a more complex surgery where instructions may differ.
