This was my personal car project previously done on my daily driven ride in 2011.
It is my hobby in improving car design (body kits). After all things that I went through, I'd learn a lot in designing & consulting car body kits design. :)

thanx man! the benefit of using steel body kit is rigidness... I've heard from my friends who did the custom wide body kit using fiberglass, after years there are many cracks especially car equipped with stiff suspension. :)
I just bought my Wira few days ago, starting to build it as a project car. Any idea what headlights & taillights I should get?
As someone that does this for a living I respect everything about this even thought it looked cooler all metal and rusted welds but how much weight did that all add because normally stuff like that I shape with fiberglass
Finally a metal bumper on a compact that alone had my respect , you have my attention and interest in my car to have that done in the states
The front closely resembles looks like an S15. Really awesome!

Love the evo 7 8 9 inspired widebody, but a front bumper in metal was just unnecessary for the sake of the weight :)
I don't think they are going to be reaching it anyways, n when they love the way it looks I don't think they care about gas mileage 😆
wow, very very nice work, most people don´t know how much work it is to build this in steel... and in 85 days, you guys are insane... the front bumper is just awesome, and its nice to see that its not made in a big bodyshop.... great job!

definitely... it does give more stability during high speed... but more understeer in corners due to weight distribution... a suspension tuning is a must to counter the understeer :)

just if the car didn't weigh enough as it was, u went and added a few hundred kgs to it. its cool but could of been done in fibreglass since u bogged the entire thing from front to back anyway
the steel front bumper its an experimental anyway... still I prefer steel made wide fenders... its more rigid than fiberglass

the only thing left to do is remove every piece of the body kit and use it as a mold for carbon fibre fabrication.

i will never go rice!! lol im going for a refined look similar to the look that accuair went on their audi avant build for their product im not sure if i want to go light with fiberglass or go with steel or aluminium for the build.

Hey there, I'm fine. The thickness of the steel sheet is 0.5mm if I'm not mistaken. The job was been done by my friend's shop, I'm the one who design it. :D

I have to say it turned out amazing great job, but why not make the front bumper in fiber glass and save weight?
initially I wanna do the front bumper in fiberglass... but it turn out as an experimental custom bodykit as my friend challenged himself to do it in steel... hehe...
Why not use fiber or carbon fiber?iron plate will make the car heavy right?

You gotta use Etching primer my dude. To protect from that riding that shit will come back when it's painted of you don't grind it all out completely n there is no need to grind. If you know your not going to get back to finishing up the welding them primer it n cone back to it later

Nice job! The front stock looked like a Mitsubishi Mirage / Lancer, haha. But the end result was nice! Looks heavy with a steel bumper though. Cool video :)
Martin Stenshjemmet kinda heavy but it improve so much during highspeed cruising.... the car feel more stable as its heavier...

They actually sold some in the UK at one stage. Proton did a Wirra WRC, it was great.

the workshop workers doesnt use any mold... it was created from raw steel... damn nice!
