Merry Christmas! Actually a cycling thing I really do get from the hardware store is gloves! They have some really nice "nitrile foam coated" ones, not super-warm but perfect for about 10°C conditions, and they only cost a few £.
On my old 2015 Trek bike, just about every bolt was a 5mm internal hex, which meant that I could carry a single Allen key and be fine and dandy if anything needed fixing. The only special tools were a Phillips driver for the limit screws on the derailleur, a bottom bracket spline socket, and a wheel hub spline socket. Plus other bike-specific tools like a spoke wrench, tire irons, and chain whip. I wish all manufacturers were as selective about what tools are required on their bikes.
A torque wrench is a good option.
Oh you mean one of those that click at a set torque? Those are good yeah
Such a great sense of humour you have!
Thanks! :)
The rollers really got me!! 🤣 That's a genuinely fantastic gag gift idea!
Thanks! Happy to help :D glad you enjoyed it ;)
MERRY CHRISTMAS I LOVE YOU
Merry Christmas, love you too!
You forgot gloves for the moments when you wrench on your bike!
That’s true! It’s better than a fork lift for sure :)
I have so many questions now. Why does a bar called a Corny have a graphic of a wheat stalk and is made of peanuts?
You’re right, it doesn’t make sense. There is no way they would make one of those bars with corn :D
Ok, pausing this mid-video to go to the hardware store to continue watching there.
Oh geez at what point did you pause?
@@addvurtbikes when you show the head torches
The shovel 🤣
It’s the gift that keeps on giving!

That’s good. I always try to get standard size stuff. Like, i would have a very hard time buying a frame that doesn’t take 27.2 mm seat posts.
You're daft as a brush! 😂 Merry whatever.👍🏼
Merry whatever!
Carmel barbel protien bar is good! 👍
I pretty much like anything in the candy shelf. But those bars are very expensive!
Very helpful, thank you. A shame you don't have adjustable wrenches in inches over there. 😜
Haha yeah you’re right, if only I could have inches on my adjustable wrench!!!
You can never have too many hex heads in sizes 4, 5, and 6.
15mm size bolts and nuts are rarely used outside of cycling. Thats why they don’t have them.
Huh, that’s kinda weird. I would have never guessed!
rollers...🤣
They’re great for balance practice!!!
Buy SAE wrenches for cyclists, you'll stay in their heart forever.
Noted! I think Runwell is a good wrench for a gift also. They are beautiful.
the best gift idea for cyclists, a car 🙂
Banned!
😂
:D
