    Nice to see a positive video about my hometown. Ottawa is a great city. Those who complain probably never leave their basements.

    Having been born and raised in Ottawa myself, I truly appreciate this video. Often times Ottawa gets a bad rap as a Boring city to live in from other UTUBE’ers who don’t even live here. If people would spend less time glued to Facebook, TikTok and Instagram, they would see for themselves Ottawa has a lot to offer. And of course TD Place is the New must visit place for a Football game and a great place to Chill afterwards. Hopefully this video will convince others that we have a lot to offer for all four seasons. Hence my name. Lol! Have a great day.

    I moved from Montreal to Ottawa over 20 years ago. Great place to raise a family, and my kids and I could speak both English and French here without any issues. No "Language Police". I truly love Ottawa and the surrounding areas. Great city to raise a family!

    Tulip Fest and the history behind it is also interesting. Visited quite often from Syracuse NY (about 3 hrs south)

    Vancouver is the best city in Canada and probably North America! Scenic, walkable, and great public transportation (you don’t need a car)!

      Top 3 in Canada, not in top 50 in North America. It's a nice enough city, but cost of living, housing, traffic, homelessness, drugs, addictions, crime, the disastrous east side, distance to fly anywhere. Nice place to visit for a week if you include Whistler. Not a great place to live at all

      Guess it depends if you want to go to the East or West coast. Do you mind winters?

    Way better than Montreal's construction everywhere and official and only French language...

      Thanks for watching. Agreed- It would be difficult to live in Quebec if you can’t speak French- Though still great to visit!

    I am planning to immigrate from India to canada. I am planning to go to Pembroke for studies & job. Is it good place to get job related to accounting/auditing etc?

    • @ShouldWeLiveHere
      @ShouldWeLiveHere  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There should be plenty of jobs in accounting/auditing wherever you choose to work. Pembroke is very small so you’d be more likely to get a job in Ottawa. You should also check out our videos on London Ontario. It is a mid sized town. A lot of recent immigrants from India are moving there. th-cam.com/video/d5N_UgK1jK4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Pzqev82OEEBdWofD

    Where do you recommend to live in Ottawa?

    • @ShouldWeLiveHere
      @ShouldWeLiveHere  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends where your job is and what your budget is.
      Westboro is beautiful and near downtown but it is a bit pricey.
      A lot of people prefer to live in the suburbs to save money on housing - Barrhaven or Orleans.
      If you have kids I would suggest checking out where the good schools are by looking at Fraser institute rankings. A lot of tech companies and new homes are in Kanata.

    You list "bilingualism" in the other video as the number one negative. Should it not also be here as the number one positive? The bilingual environment is an opportunity to extend one's horizons.

    • @ShouldWeLiveHere
      @ShouldWeLiveHere  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s true as well! It certainly is an advantage to speak both languages for sure…

    • @eddydawood3054

      It's More anglophone you do not French unless you work for federal government as Senior manger or higher it depends on the position

    • @ShouldWeLiveHere
      @ShouldWeLiveHere  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We found even in a lot of service jobs outside of government, they prefer people that are bilingual. I can understand as you want to be able to service customers in both languages. It is just something to be aware of if you only speak one language.

    • @steviie_b
      @steviie_b ปีที่แล้ว

      Bruh u do NOT need to be bilingual in Ottawa…💀 if u work for the government then sure, but chances are you have prepared for that and are learning/learnt it. There isn’t a SINGLE time in Ottawa u will experience where u absolutely need bilingualism.
