  • Ever wonder what you can do to gain a little better light in the back of your Jeep? A simple addition of the Brawlee Liftgate LED lightbar can brighten up your world! I decided to add a little Twisted flavor to the modification and add a switch that powers off the 12VDC located near the Factory Subwoofer.
This light is perfect for camping trips, tailgate parties, or just about any other situation where you need gobs of light.
Secondly, the addition of a Side Emitting LED strip to the back of the hardtop has helped alleviate the issue of not having one once the factory 3rd brake light was ditched to fit the 37 Inch tire on the carrier. Both of these mods are super cheap and have proven to be durable and reliable.
The LED strip was found on ebay - just search for Side Emitting LED Strip- came in a 2 pack for less than $12.00
The Brawlee light can be found on Amazon and is superb. The Ulinco monetary switch and pigtail can also be found on amazon and I highly recommend it for any other type of modification that may require the need for a switch.

Just coming back from my strobe induced seizure and wanted to comment about how well this video was done. Very useful information presented in a clear and and fun way. I agree with your lighted push button switch solution eliminating the need for the remote. Evan's opening was outta sight!

Yeah that strobe function won't get used much. I did see that they now produce an RGB flavored lightbar that can be controlled with your phone and can change colors.

nice project for sure, love the new brake light. Question, what size are your Coopers?

I went back and watched your other video when you bought the Jeep and mentioned it had 37in Coopers.

You got it buddy. They are 37 inch Coopers.. they are great and fairly quiet but sure do cause some issues with rearview sight. Had to add the HD rearview camera system to help out (check out that video if interested) Thanks for watching and the comment. Take care!

I have not had a single issue and we have some pretty extreme heat/ cold here. It is just as solid as the day it was installed. Be sure to remember to disconnect when removing your top. 😃

@@86Ctopher Awesome! Going to be doing the same then. I am in Montana and it gets a little cold, LOL! The summers aren’t bad at all compared to Texas.
Thank you for the reply! Keep up the good work!

@@86Ctopher It’s beautiful Brother. This was the last state out of the lower 48 I had never been to. Ever since I retired from the Army I have been all over the country. Glad I got all my travels out of the way before the *cough* started. We are pretty much left alone up here and that’s the way I like it.
I have a few more videos to upload but I try and capture some of the beauty around here on my channel.
