In my country (Vietnam), we rate this game highly for not only the beautiful character but also its story, it has all kinds of references to the original Journey to the West in the game and the animated scenes contain multiple hidden meanings and life advice from Buddhism. China has made a fantastic game. Those journalist bashed it just because "it is not their standard" is ridiculous.

I'm a woman gamer and when I play, first I want a well written story that captivates me enough to keep playing, second I need beautiful and interesting characters to play with. Usually I take a couple of hours to make a character so they get to my standards and look amazing. I hate this woke era were women have to be ugly or everyone has to be androgynous, politics and ideologies are pushed down my throat and ridiculous pronouns that don't even make sense on other languages are the common ground even on games. When I play is to escape reality and have fun. Not to waste my vision on ugliness or be lectured every minute. Just hope all this stupidity ends soon. And this game looks amazing!

Game Science needs to give themselves a pat on the back, Chinese players/ devs should be proud that THEIR culture and THEIR mythology isn't being corrupted and is represented beautifully in the game. Having beautiful women rendered 1 to 1 in the game is more a bonus than anything as far as Black Myth Wukong is concerned. I'd say the real draw is that this is a beautiful looking action game based on Journey to the West. To Chinese viewers, it looked quite faithful to the source. Also to Chinese viewers, it had pop culture nostalgia baked into it. The fact the game has female characters has more to do with the fact that they were important to the original story rather than simply being women, attractive or otherwise. So when you include the Ox King, no way you don't include the Princess Iron Fan.

I'm playing the game almost every day. Before wukong, I only played pokemon and zelda in Switch. I bought a gaming PC with 4090 GPU + i9 CPU + 64G ram and 8T storage a just for this game! I almost bought Horizon in the past, excited by the mechanical dinosaurs, but it did not go through as I was not a big fan of the character design of Aloy.

And these models are proper scan from humans so mimimal artist effort, probably some to clean up the scanned models and add bone structures but thats that. But nevertheless, the game is stunningly beautiful even in low setting but I would suggest at least play in medium for best lighting quality.

Black Myth Wukong : attacked by the western media, game is well made, praised by the customers ,game is a success , developer thanks the customers. Wild Assault: had its closed beta, exceeded 100K players, the developer thanked the gamers for making the beta a success. And finally, when Saudi owned SNK still makes beautiful and attractive women in their games better than the western developers , you know the western media complex had gone mad.

I'd say the real draw is that this is a beautiful looking action game based on Journey to the West. To Chinese viewers, it looked quite faithful to the source. Also to Chinese viewers, it had pop culture nostalgia baked into it.
The fact the game has female characters has more to do with the fact that they were important to the original story rather than simply being women, attractive or otherwise. So when you include the Ox King, no way you don't include the Princess Iron Fan.

It's never too late to start. There are plenty of cheap indie games to get started. I'm playing the game almost every day. Before wukong, I only played pokemon and zelda in Switch. I bought a gaming PC with 4090 GPU + i9 CPU + 64G ram and 8T storage a just for this game! I almost bought Horizon in the past, excited by the mechanical dinosaurs, but it did not go through as I was not a big fan of the character design of Aloy.
