Never tried fishing offshore for dolphin before. Watched Capt. Mike's videos, stopped at Chaos to pick up some gear, and went down to Marathon last week. Caught so many dolphin it was unbelievable! My son even caught one in 80 fow fishing for yellowtails. Even saw that Florida Sport Fishing SeaVee out there! Thanks for all of the information, it really helps us googans catch fish.
Capt Mike! Thanks for all your info and help. I emailed you before. We were in Marathon the week prior . Because of your info and the ballyhood tuna hoochies and tacos we went out on the Sunday of the holiday weekend and caught mahi and blackfins, while everyone else was fighting the traffic at the humps. We caught our stuff from 200 to 500 feet. Bite shut off at noon. Went out the next day and clobbered the good mangroves in the gulf on cut ballyhoo and shrimp off a wreck with jigs. Planning another cop vacation for next May! Thanks again. Russ
