Dire, since you now have an 'Adventuring Backpack', I'd suggest two things: Shift Right click to place it on the ground, and it can be interacted with by pipes. Including ME import busses.
Gems can just be slotted into equipment with gem slots at a smithing table: Each type of gem has specific effects that it can add to gear, and the purity of the gem is a flat % fraction of what an 'ideal' gem would have. For example, a 100% purity endersurge gem can have 10% current HP damage, but a 50% purity one would have 5% current HP damage. It's also worth noting that all gem perks from all sources apply their effects to applicable items, so a sword with armor on it via gems will increase armor rating while held, and armor with bonus damage will boost melee attacks. Gems can be smashed under an anvil (I usually do this to all sub 70% purity gems) for gem dust, which is a required resource for rerolling the perks of Adventure module gear as well as for adding gem slots to gear that doesn't already have said slots. The Adventure module for Apotheosis is absurdly broken when you get into it.
Something you may want to look into for portable storage is the storage upgrades for your backpack. The storage upgrades can basicly turn each slot of a backpack into a drawer/deep storage. Those along with upgrading the tier of the backpack itself can lead to absolutely rediculous amounts of storage. Iirc a netherite backpack with the max number of netherite storage upgrades can hold about a *BILLION* items per slot. Exesive? Absolutely. Cool? Absolutely. For more broad storage you want either a nesting upgrade + more backpacks, or just a row or two of shulkers
The packs are definitely worth the effort to upgrade. I have 1 netherite pack with netherite stacking, advanced magnet, crafting, advanced compacting, and smelting upgrades (altho I can't recal ever having used the smelter. Still have 2 empty upgrade slots. The bottom 36 slots are reserved for gear I carry. I another netherite pack with netherite stacking and feeder upgrades. I used to stock it with lots of food, but then I got an Eternal Steak. I also keep some bee cages, mob imprisonment tools, and mob data models in it. Additionally, I have 2 more netherite packs with netherite stacking and pickup upgrades. These are my overflow storage, for long expeditions. Finally, I carry an ender pouch to send thing home in a real pinch, altho I haven't needed to use it much since fully upgrading all 4 packs.
Just to let you know, the reason your flare spell on the bow wasn't working was the enemies were fireproof cuz they were nether based mobs, which generally can't be hurt by fire effects (at least vanilla mobs can't be)
30:00 He didn't follow up on this, but I'm 99% sure that was a mob with a backpack. They can spawn with any number of upgrades, including the jukebox one, which is almost always playing a random music disc. How do I know this? I had one spawn underground that was playing disc 11. Needless to say, it absolutely terrified me until I realized what it was. Also, second day of asking you to look at Spirit. It's such a cool mod with some excellent sprite and particle work, great mod for spawning mobs. A little more complex than your usual "scoop up the mob and put it in a duplicator" but it's really neat looking.
4:20 "And because we don't have Botania yet---" The Dragon roars and drowns out Dire's voice. I assume he was talking about the end air bottles.. least I think that was Botania. lol
12:38 - So THAT’S where my favorite blue wood comes from. Also, with all of that gold and the diamonds you found on that ship you could have upgraded those backpacks and about doubled your inventory space to be able to pick up more stuff.
What I found interesting to use while adventuring is to use the scanner mod to locate de treasure chests. Especially to find heart of the sea's that are found with maps and are located under sand.
The damage wasn't from the bow at first, it was from shooting the crystal while it was feeding/healing the dragon. Edit: Also, someone must like Johnny Cash...
the BYG biomes are great and all, but the mod itself makes exploring the nether and end a real pain in the butt. Their biomes replace normal biomes to such a high extent that my nether doesnt have a nether wastes within 10,000 blocks of my spawn. Makes finding glowstone and nether fortresses borderline impossible
Anyone discover the Personal Integrity Field Projector from Technobauble yet? Dire is doing Magic so it'll be a while before he finds it, but it seems to make me completely invincible. Lava? Lets go for a swim. Drowning? Nah. On fire and hugging wither skeletons while standing on cactus? No problem. Need to be able to eat Minotaur soup to get the Achievement? Why can nothing hurt me?
The endermen in the End drop tons of Netherite and Diamond gear. I have been having a field day farming them in a vanilla style farm and running the gear through a Silent Gear Salvager. Lots of Diamonds and Nethrite plus exp!
Couldn't help but notice the amount of times this episode Dire tried using the mining gadget to harm mobs It might be fun if there was a harm mobs upgrade It should be rather expensive as you don't want it to be the only weapon you'll ever need, possibly a nether star for any real damage The one upgrade I would love to see with your feud with the endermen is make the last damage upgrade require the dragon egg and you can harm endermen with it
One thing I always wondered, why do Dire prefer to void stuff when he is out exploring before filling up his backpack with items? It seems that he somehow only wants to put tools in his backpack and never use it for actual storage of the things he found exploring. Or at least, he seems reluctant to do so. I would think that you only start voiding items when you have run out of space in the backpack inventory.
Just started playing the pack, when I look at items it shows what the item is in the upper left corner vs upper middle like in his videos... any idea how to change the position? Tried looking through mods
You need to enter a console command to change it's position. So open the "chat window" by pressing T and then type in the command /top config and press enter. Remember to type that / at the start so Minecraft understands it as a command. That command will open a configuration window where you change it's position. Also the mod that adds the info-box is called "The One Probe" (that's the "top" part of the command), so if you like to google about it, you're more than welcome to. :)
dire I download your modpack yesterday and HOLY HELL there is a mob that looks like some sort of demon bat thing (not the one from ars) that scared the living daylights out of me
What spell is he using to grab those spawners. I tried to use projectile>sensative>break>extract but can't seem to get the projectile to actually hit a spawner.
I think sensitive should go after break and you should remove extract, because sensitive does silk touch and extract does fortune, and they're not compatible on the same action.
Dire do you have any idea how much anxiety you cause me while you're casually standing around inspecting chests while angry endermen and fully diamond armor clad wither skeletons swarm around you ? ;) Good shooting with the bow though, you're a crack shot.
Has anyone been curious as to what the windows notification is. I myself have to tried to find a pattern to see what triggers it. As if it’s no coincidence, my mind struggles to rest with these thoughts in my mind.
I always thought it might've been sticky keys, but now that you mention it, I'm not sure cause most people would disable that from reiccuring after the first time the press shift(or whatever it is) the number of times(5, I think) needed to trigger it.
How does Dire still not know the touch method of retrieving the dragon egg. When the egg moves after trying to mine it, place a torch under the block it's on. Then break the block the egg is on. The egg will fall and drop in the same way sand does on a torch. There are torches on the end portal, so you've already got what you need.

Keep in mind that an upcoming 6.1 Apotheosis update will change how gems work, how exactly is written in the changelog aviable on the github.
You don’t need an anvil specifically to crush gems. They can be thrown into most crushing machines to get dust.
Dude got a heart from Dire. Good stuff! Very interesting!

Done that with a chest. Netherite chest with all tier 4 slot upgrades. i love that it makes things like music disks stack as well

That’s a fast track to a corrupted game file when you pick it up. Use at your own risk.
@@scottchristofersen2367 Pretty sure that statement is outdated.
@@jursamaj You can also get the inception upgrade, which lets you put backpacks in backpacks.

Yes. And the latest version of the pack does have Botania in it, so now you can get ender air bottles when trying to get dragon’s breath
@@Kzorith Yup, have to bring extra bottles now because you fill so many with useless Botania air.

I think the bow can get a spell on it that can lock on or home onto a target, making hitting the dragon easier.

Ouch! You should have used the same seed as Dire. Several forts right near spawn. Hardly any ghasts seem to spawn though.

Er instead of risking flying the long way over the void, the vanilla game provides a portal to the end islands after you kill the dragon 🤣🤣
Reforge station and salvage table to make apothiosis gear and the smithing table to socket the gems

It often happens near the end of the episode, so might just be a timer so that Dire knows when to start wrapping up.

Use a sink to fill the crystal up or any fluid unless it's been fixed
