Joe, the Omega Seamaster Chrono restoration video series was your most epic, but I think that this was the most enjoyable video that you've made yet. Fantastic craftsmanship befitting such an iconic timepiece, but getting out of the shop and seeing a bit of old Birmingham and some of your mates was great. And kudos for keeping your tool envy under control. Btw, it looks like Trouble Too is well on his way to becoming a watch collector. Best wishes to the family and looking forward to the next treat from you.

Actually I have two left to watch yours and another one. Sometimes, instead of watching a stupid movie or TV series, I prefer to turn on some archival movie and see it again. It's a feast for the eyes. I also know that there are professionals I could trust entrusting my watch to. It's a pity that it's so far away because I would start servicing mine only at your place. I started my adventure with mechanical watches 2 years ago, so mine don't need restoration yet but when the need comes, who knows. I may even come personally with it to you. Once again: fantastic work, fantastic result, and fantastic channel, fantastic guy from you.

I hope, sir, these questions aren't too mundane or over the top for you, but:
How tight do you tighten the screws? I have a Concord, gold, dress watch, with the tiniest gold screws that hold the back on. I took it to a 'Very well known jeweler' in San Francisco for a battery change! And later wore this very, Very thin watch to work, where i saw water droplets under the crown!!! HORRORS!!! Two or 3 of the screws had fallen out of the back, and water had entered the case, so I could see tiny droplets under the crystal.
I returned it and they more or less took care of the problem. Each tiny, TINY gold screw was $20 (back in the '80's). With subsequent visits for a new battery, the watch is written up as having water marks on the face!
So, how hard do you crank on the screws to know they are set?
Two or 3 of these tiny gold screws might have been the length of a short grain of rice! And weighted about as much. The question is, who makes all of these tiny bits and bobs? Where? Because i can't imagine there is much demand for such tiny, 12K, 14K, 18K (?) gold screws for an out of date watch, such as a Concord, Submariner.
At the time it was advertised as the world's thinest watch, which it was, as it was about as thick as a US quarter coin. So those screws were really teeny, teeny, tiny!
But who makes such items? Where? (And I'm glad they do such work!!!😃😃😃 As obscure as it might be! Thank them for us, Mr J. Q. Public. Please!!!)
    Your comments, please.
    And, Thanks, in advance!

I have been playing polo with my Reverso for many years. The wooden mallet is much softer than the case, so no scratches, but a direct hit may chatter the crystal. But such a hit would probably ruin the movement of a turned case anyway. I find my Reverso more of a fun watch that really has nothing to do with the polo game. The umpire keeps the time for game and no active player would ever wonder what time it is during a game. Too much else to think about like hitting the ball with right force and angle in full gallop. 🐎😊

Re Polo: I live in the North Dallas area, and there used to exist a polo field that Charles was said to use. A quick Google search returns things like this headline: "Apr 1, 2004 - AT THE DALLAS POLO CLUB'S annual September Soiree charity match, ... to play for a summer on Prince Charles' Windsor Park polo team." I also found a record that he visited in 1986, but being pre-Internet, records are rather sparse.
Now, only the name still exists as an echo to the area's history -- as the name of a shopping mall.

Love your journey around Birmingham and bringing a fantastic watch back to life.
As for the polo bit, I have maybe eight dive watches and I can't even swim!
Blessings to you and yours always, Joe. Cheers 🍻!

No, but seriously now, £50 and curry thrown in... Deal? Credit due sir - diligence, attention to detail and misbehaving with Trouble as required. Love the finished article as I used to have a cheap copy by Accurist with a blued face. 💚👍

Absolutely outstanding skills shown here, what a watch maker you are, brilliant! I know this to be true because I have a 3 year old Seiko Alpinist which I accidentally damaged the hair spring whilst adjusting the time.I have been to lots of so called watch makers to have a new spring fitted, all I got from these people was a short sharp intake of breath,no we don't do this kind of work was their replies. No wonder you have lots of work you are a rare beast in the West Midlands.

What a beautiful watch! There are so many beautiful watches, truly beautiful watches in the world that I haven't even heard of. Thank you for great video! Vidoes like this help me appreciate what true value lies in the watches.
Btw thanks to your videos, I realized I have a very strong crush for square watches.

🤣🤣🤣 I'm watching from the States and cannot make what the heck any of you are saying.
Your accent is so thick, is just incomprehensible! Am sure after a few weeks there I'd be ok, but right now, noooo waaaaay.

Great vid, fantastic job. The movement and case are crisp.
Question: What is a good quality movement and case that is affordable it can be any brand that I will look for in Canada or online. I would prefer something dressy.
I am open to any suggestions. Secondly, what do you think of Tudor or Omega now?
    Thank you,
    Chris from Canada Eh?

What a remarkable skill you have, 10 out of 10 bro.
I've never seen any watch being taken apart and fully serviced before, just excellent.
Can you tell me? What or jewelry cleaning machine would you recommend?

Watches scratched when playing polo? Dear Lord, that won't do.
I present to you the non-existing watch replacement.
Take of your expensive status symbol off your wrist before the match, enjoy your game of polo, occasionally craning your neck to take a look at the giant clock above the stands as tea-time approaches.

"Coronation quiche" was charlies signature dish, a deep quiche flavoured with broad beans, tarragon and spinach.
I cant see it becoming a longstanding classic recipe like lizzies coronation chicken even fir vegetarians as the pastry uses lard.
And who puts beans in a quiche?
    Cmon now.
    Beans?
    Broad beans?
    Just no.

This is PRIME British humour. You have a really ironic touch, and tongue in cheek.
Sparks make UV light, I wonder if they are being subjected to enough on their hands that they will run the risk of melanomas?.
