It's amazing how under utilized these boards are in most projects. But at the same time, this shows you that something like this could be upgraded endlessly.
so cute and well thought of, You should of shown us this before Christmas, as we could of helped Santa make some for the kids/ i mean us to play with :) Happy new year.
So.. have you won the prize for “the oldest swinger on TH-cam” ? Just pulling ya leg.. Love yer videos and have done for years! Happy New Year .. and don’t forget mrs Myfords next prezzie 😁
What a lovely little engine. I think these were referred to as a 'Bow Framed' Simplex. Never heard of 'Loco Remote' before, will have to investigate. Cheers, Alan.
Great wee video. Thank you. I noticed that the battery consumption dropped by 10% under the test that you showed. That wasn't a great result. I wonder how long the battery lasts under full load conditions. Thanks again for sharing. I'm gonna get one of those Loco Remote modules.
the % gauge is a bit deceptive, just because it went from 4.2 to 4.0 volt doesn't mean it lost 10% of its energy content, the discharge curve on a lithium battery is not linear like that, it's only really linear between 3.3v and 4v, where most of the actual energy is.
@@AlexanderBurgers Thanks for that. I'd still like to see a video made of the real-time load and battery usage. Maybe a larger Ah battery would help? Still a great video, though.
@@myfordboy Thank You! I will hawe a look at them! However i just bought a whole bag of those small DC engines, so i i think i will give both concepts a go with my new printer!
I'm a little late to the party but... I got a tank kit from MakeBlock a year or two ago. It runs on a customized Arduino board with plug&play motor controllers, Bluetooth interface, and a pretty handy scratch-based customizable control board in the app. You could drop that controller into just about any chassis.
I enjoyed the video, thank you for sharing it. Will you have a video on making the dump cars, and will it be 3D printed or cast? Have a safe and Happy New Year to you and the family.

Ore carrier model was not anticipated as I tuned in. I drove both diesel and electric small gauge trains in a gold mine. Very nice results!
Such a range of disciplines! This 'show' gets better and better with every episode!🤗🤗🤗
Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year to you and your family.
excellent combo of metal and plastic and interesting remote, I had not heard of them!

Happy new year.
Absolutely beautiful work

Happy News Year (2022) Myfordboy And All Subscriber !!
Hey, no face on Mr MyFordBoy driving the train... 😮 Happy New Year
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours good to see you in 2022........................
only if you set it up to receive power from the track. other wise and all some project.
Outstanding as usual
I absolutely love your videos I learn alot and they are very interesting
I have two of Chris's (LocoRemote) engines + a few Mini units and they are awesome. Simple but effective!
Very cool 👍 I could watch this all day
Happy new year Mr Hand Model, and everybody. And hopefully our problem is gone soon.
That was pretty cool you have patience
Bonne année
Where's the grandkids? Ours are into RC cars.
That's awesome. what you need to do is add camera on front, and use VR lol
That was very clever indeed! HNY!
Wonderful!

Still a great video, though.
I am making a real time video right now, results are looking good. Over 30 minutes so far and still showing 60% battery left.
This was realy interesting! I wonder if somebody has tried to make an actualy working 3D printed low air pressure engine?
There are several 3D printed working engines on thingiverse to download.

Very nice project as always!!Where did you buy the packet of gears? I wish you a very happy new year
I got mine from eBay. Also available on Amazon.
Добрых и здравых дней жизни, спасибо за ваш труд 👍🎉🎆
Cool.. Is there a app/module like that to control other stuff? Would be cool to control my 3d printed tank from my phone...

I read the Thingiverse summary, and I'm still at a loss for what guage this is. And before I go into bankruptcy buying track, is this G Scale?
It runs on 32mm track. 16mm scale. You could easily scale it to 45mm in the printing.

Not planning a video on the waggons, it's just a matter of printing the parts.
