    Thanks so much for this- mine arrived yesterday. I plan on carrying my Michael May Barlow in my coin pocket for lunchtime and this in place of my main blade. Since I process cardboard constantly at work, I think it makes a lot of sense.

    Standard replacement blade from Olfa. Cat # CKB-2. No need to go to Civivi. Why replace them anyway? You can sharpen (and strop) these things just like any other blade, to a crazy razor edge. I use this knife for leatherwork, and its great. Still on the first blade, sharpened many times. Far better than any snap-off types.

    Just got the blue titanium one. Seems pretty straight forward and i like the bottle opener, its a useful little tool to have around. I hope civivi or we starts making different styles of replaceable blades, that would be great. I think its a fair price for the quality of the product, my main complaint is the slidy rectangular back piece is not so fluid. Im gonna try a bit of flourinated grease on it. Great video, hang in there 👊

      @@lovescamaros1 Actually this type of knife was created by OLFA in 1978 (OLFA CK-2 / OLFA 34B) which was inspired by the traditional Japanese utility knife kiridashi, but the Civivi, Nitecore and many other Chinese brands have more ergonomic handles and locks that are easier to use.

    Good whittling knife. Wish the knife companies would start exploring some better whittling designs. But that might be a goer. I'd be concerned about the thumb stud coming off and getting lost.

  • @Ice_Berg
    @Ice_Berg 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    This looks like it will take Olfa XB34 blades if you're looking for replacements. I haven't seen them on Amazon or any knife stores, but you can usually get them on eBay or sometimes hardware stores. You can also just buy the Olfa 34B knife on amazon for less than $10 which is just a cheap stamped steel handle that comes with one of the blades.
