Since the elementum is such a popular knife, and so many people have one, I’d think more reviewers would have it as a regular size comparison (replace the rat from the line up).
I still have the "OG" button-lock Elementum and and still prefer it. I understand that configuration is illegal in some areas but so many people acted like CIVIVI took a dump on their doorstep.
My favorite thing about MC is that he uploads at least once a day. Which is such a pleasure. Does it feed my unhealthy obsession? Absolutely. Does it make me happy? Yes. So I don’t see the problem :)
Just got my elementum2 button lock in natural g10. I installed the Civivi titanium clip and I really love it better than my original Elementum. Civivi makes a great knife and like the nitro v blade material. One of the best knives I have bought in a while.
The OG Elementum Button Un-Lock is a brilliant design. The button unlocks it and then locks it and then unlocks it and finally locks it. Me loves the OG Elementum Button Unlock…
I might be in the minority, but I like that bigger one without the flipper tab more. I like that it is locked shut and the closed profile being so nice and smooth on the sides.
I also have a Kizer Begleiter XL, a Civivi Conspiritor and a Sencut Sasche and like them all. But the Elementum without thumbstuds or a pocketpecker (Hi Nick) makes for a very comfortable carry with a nice blade.
AGREED ! I also like the other flipper, thumbstud buttonlocks, etc, but in a world full of those, the Buttonlock only Elementum is unique, and that alone is GOLD. Also helps that it is such a good cutter.
As a Lefty, I like the clip as is. I position it close to the inside of my front left pocket. When I reach in with my fingers, my thumb stays outside and pulls up on the clip, index finger is already on flipper. Got this yesterday. It's basically perfect, button lock is the way to go when Left handled.
I am so excited for the Brazen button lock coming out soon, the OG brazen is my favorite action on any Civivi, and the Elementum 2 is my favorite button lock
Thank you for going to bat for us lefties. I often carry knives that don't have the pocket clip on the correct side, since a lot of the designs I like don't have swappable pocket clips, and it's made me much pickier about the kinds of pocket clip that I find comfortable, since my fingers have to rest in them. On the plus side, Kizer's pocket knives have great pocket clips for lefties, since my middle finger just slots right into that dip.
I really like that Civivi/WE/Sencut has a knife for everyone. The 3.47" Elementum is illegal in some states, the 2.96" appeals to the most people. The Elementum Button Lock 2 in Damascus is such an amazing knife for its looks and functionality. Its obviously not a WE knife in Damasteel with a fancy Timascus pocket clip but people I show it to are in awe of it.
I’m a 6’ 3” guy with rather large hands usually 2XL I’ve got very long hands this knife is about the length of my fingers but I really really love this knife. I have the forest green and am genuinely going to buy the black g10 knife. I really really want them to make this in a bigger knife but for now I love this budget EDC
I’ve played with Elementums in my local shop for years every time I go in. I never bought one for some reason, but I really like them and I don’t own anything with a flipper tab. I may finally pick one up when I see a scale i like. I honestly like the pee pee on the elementum. it will go on my list after I have finally acquired a 20.5, which I have had lots of trouble deciding on which scales or steel to get.
Kizer cormorant is smooth as butter if working right I don't like civivi indented button too much conspirator is nice but elementum had stick and is hard to press. Beglieter 2 is best feeling button imo.
I’ve been eyeing these for a while, and the day I go to buy it they’re out of stock! Then I see you highlighted them two days ago…..why have you done this to me???
Own a bunch of small folders in all styles and prices, can't beat this one, especially for the price! Almost the perfect pocket knife (if there is such a thing) 🤣
Fairly brand new to pocket knives the one and only that I own is the elemental button lock the big one and I love it. I’m looking at getting the element too flipper for my son one question for clarity. Can you open the knife with just the button lock or do you have to use the flipper?
Lefty here. Doesn’t look they have implemented the reversible clip yet. I wanna buy this, but I suppose I’ll look elsewhere or wait. Fingers crossed I suppose….
I just recently got the original Elementum in Ultem, I was debating on a button lock one but I was thinking it’s more likely to deploy in my pocket from moving around and I like how the original is thinner, only thing I like about the button lock version is that it has Nitro V instead of D2, I wish the original had Nitro V, or even better would be 14C28N…, I also have the mini Elementum in copper and it’s got 14C28N, if only my Ultementum had 14C28N…😮💨
Wish they had a better steel...I want a replacement for my Para 3 LW in REX 45 and I want EASY one hand open/close. I use my knives at work, I'm an electrician.
Bought knives for my awesome neighbors for letting us shower at their place for a couple weeks after our pipes froze. She got this, and he got a Bestech Slasher. They both loved them. I think women really love getting gifted a knife because it's not usually something someone would gift them.
I have a tanto Elementum to my old roommate when I saw her last year. She dug it, asked questions and was impressed with the quality. She does nails for a living so I think she sees cool details. Anyways, felt good cause you’re right.. she’d have never got that for herself. And she will keep it for years and years I’m sure cause they are a practical tool. And unimposing looking, Elementum can be used anywhere and isn’t gonna scare anyone.
nice video. Would love to know your thoughts on how this one compares to the CJRB Pyrite. I have the Pyrite with the Wharncliffe based on your review, and it's nice, though I'm not as much of a fan of the open hole as I thought I'd be. Flippers seem much easier to open.

Yes!
Hell yes. The Rat 1 and 2 are hideous looking knives. I don't care how popular they once were. They freakin suck 😆

1000% agree that WE/Civivi needs to make the larger version with a flipper tab. That would be the Elementum to rule them all!
