Oh! Your fabrics are beautiful! The red/pink one is right up my alley. I would wear it in the fall with a pair of black tights, black footwear, and a black jacket or coat. The villa and boat fabric is gorgeous. Whatever you decide
Well if you’re weird, then I am too. When you gave your Italian fabric a cwtch, I get it! That Venice fabric is sooo lovely. I’ve seen it before and I may even break my fabric ban for that one. But if we’re focusing on this challenge then I think I’d go for the panda fabric /shirt dress option unless you have somewhere glamorous to go in the other one. That Liberty fabric is lovely. Not ditsy but really lovely. Have fun. 👍
It's got to be the fabric that reminds you of your mum, for your Italian touring holiday next year, that's a really special set of connections to a fabric or the last floral fabric your in laws gave you...
What gorgeous fabrics - I love the idea of making the Venice fabric up for your Italian holiday next year. I'm with you on the way you feel when you have a beautiful fabric - it's an emotional connection. I think everything you've thought of sounds wonderful so my choice is the Judy dress in the beautiful blue fabric.
I can understand your feeling towards your last Liberty print, I have a piece of fabric that was in my mum's stash when she passed away over 30 years ago. So this might be just the right time to make a summer dress and feel happy wearing it and remembering Mum. 💜💜
Panada Retreat fabric would look great in straight legged or wide legged pants (trousers) with a Hope Dress as a top. Secret pajamas looking very chic!!
Hi Alison, I love the two fabrics that you’ve chosen but my favourite is the Venice fabric, such a beautiful print, it will be fabulous for swishing around Italy ❤❤
😂😂😂 go to Liberty and stroke their fabrics. I am from the US and was in London last December and I had to go to liberty so I understand exactly what you’re saying 😊😊 I love their fabrics ❤
that lovely material for the Judy dress - you could make a judy dress without sleeves and put a black freya top on underneath so you could wear it in the winter. youre not mad!! i have fabric that i love and originally have something in mind to make then keep thinking about how lovely the fabric is and then panic that the pattern will not be good enough and i'll have wasted it so i keep it thinking it will get made up soon then i find another fabric which gets made up :0)
I love them all! The pandas would look great in a set top and pants and the Liberty Betsy could be a quilt back and put together with other Betsy fabric for the quilt front. The quilt could then be handed down to your daughter.
I've also got 3m of the panda retreat on a marlie lawn base. Our fabric stashes seem to have a lot in common 😂😅😅 Edit - the first fabric has cranes on it. They have a lovely meaning in Japanese symbolism. That blue viscose satin is just stunning...absolutely gorgeous.
Super video Alison. Lots of emotion going on here. So good to have the fabric purchased by your in laws and it is beautiful. The blue fabric is simply stunning. Would a pattern like Style Arc Zalia suit it better because I think that a gathered skirt won’t show the bird so well. Just a thought (and it’s a bit jumbled). Anyway, good luck with which ever one you choose. Look forward to seeing it. The fabric for Italy will look amazing.
thanks for your vlog I loved all your fabrics. When I saw the stunning blue one the pattern that sprang to mind was the Seasons of east summer in New York. But I haven't made it Ive just seen many fabulous versions that showcase a stunning fabric. Good luck with the challenge!
I think the first fabric has cranes on Alison. Love the fantastic colour of the Tula Pink. Looking forward to seeing the fabrics come to life in an outfit xx
What a great selection and all so different, My immediate thoughts were Yes to your Italian Belle [very bella] and Yes to the blues fabric in the Judy dress. It would look fabulous for a special Christmas event. Night out or festive lunch. The cotton lawn Liberty fabric I think you should make your favourite pattern in it or a garment you associate with your Father in Law. My memories of my FIL [who passed in 1996] are that he always said I should use the best fabrics I could afford as I was putting so much love and effort. So if it was me it would be my favourite dress[Sydney by SA] in a Liberty lawn. That would be all lovely memories wrapped around me. The other thing I did think about your Liberty fabric was to make a notebook cover or needle case etc so you had something you used everyday to remind you of these important moments and people.😎❤
you are not alone!
😂😂😂phewww
The blue fabric would be lovely one for a special occasion dress. The way it shimmers is stunning.
I think so too!

Oh thank you - the life in Venice fabric is just dreamy
Thank you for your lovely vlog. I feel that fabrics that remind us of our parents are precious beyond words x.
Absolutely!! X

That sounds like a lovely plan 😊
Oh I know your feeling - Venice fabric perfect xx
It really is!
Make the blue Judy dress that would be fabulous and it would be perfect 😘😘
Thank you 😊
I love the Italy fabric. Would love to see that made up.
Definitely next year

Fab idea 😊

Just so satisfying 🥰
You’re right 😂 I was willing you to say I’m destashing this one!! Love the blues. Can’t wait to see your dress made up xx
😂😂😂you were too distracted at Harrogate - snooze you lose
@@SewLikeDotty harsh!! 😂 next time I’ll be sharpening my elbows and going for it 😅 xx

Think I might do that but I would leave the sleeves in and layer up I think
I think we’re on the fabric merry go round 🤦♀️
Fun vlog💗🇦🇺
Thank you 😊
The first fabric would make a fabulous caftan.
Oooo yes
I love the dress you are wearing!!!
Thank you 😊

I would love to do that but the reality is with me a quilt won’t happen - I started 2 years ago just don’t have the patience with myself 🤦♀️
I love the Panda Retreat
It’s quite cute isnt it

Good to know! I will look into that more - we must both have good taste 😊
My vote is for the blue viscose satin in your Style Arc
fitted bust dress pattern. It would be an elegant dressy dress. The Judy dress is more casual.
That would be lovely but it needs 4m sadly
I think your birds are cranes.
Eeee I’m hopeless 😂
Correct

Panda Retreat Lyra would be gorgeous and very wearable in the coming seasons. X
It’s going to happen 🐼
Your not the only one , we are weird 😂❤

I keep looking at that pattern I make need to purchase it at some point

Doh that’s what they are - 🤦♀️😂
Oops . . . my big fat fingers hit the wrong key. You will look stunning in whatever you decide to make out of the villa fabric.
Thank you 😊

That’s such a lovely idea Sue to make a dress and notebook cover - absolutely love that xx
I’ve been coveting my Life in Venice for 2 years but can’t find the ’right’ pattern for it but I do stroke it occasionally 😅
@@gailh3048 it’s so beautiful isn’t it
xXX👍👍👍
