Thank you. You just saved me over £300! I thought my oven had completely died. But after watching your video I ordered the correct element. It just arrived, and I have fitted it and tested the oven in less than 15 minutes! I have a working oven! Amazing. Thank you so much!
That's really good to hear and is just what my channel is all about, helping people carry out jobs themselves and save money! Thanks for your great comment, and don't forget to subscribe!
Excellent video, with straight forward and very helpful tips, e.g. "avoid connecting wires disappearing in back of oven!!" and "physically check you have right element before taking old one out".
Great Video. Element in the oven in my holiday home is causing the fuse to blow. I suspect element is shorting. I had an identical problem with the grill element about 6 months ago. Element replacement resolved the problem
My oven stopped heating up yesterday followed your instruction got element off so easy to follow and I had the one where you have to take the back off just got to get new element tomorrow and put it back on fingers crossed that's the problem and I am a single 68 yr old female 😁
Great video! The doubt I have is, the heating element on my oven isn’t at the back but at the top. Would the procedure to change it be the similar to this?
Don't make the mistake of buying an Amica oven. The screws to release the element are on the rear of the oven and you have to take the back off which is an absolute ball ache.
Hello, We have an oven that wasn't heating up so we bought the element and followed the video and at first it appeared like it worked. However the light next to the temperature dial started flickering then went off and it won't heat again. Do you have any advice please?
To help prevent the two mains wires pulling back through the holes on the backplate, either use two small crocodile clips placed on each wire or two sprung clothes pegs.
Hi there, I would be very grateful if you kindly identify one for me, please? Not sure which one to order. It’s NEFF(very old model), GB 1031, 11HCSG, 1031 1E and so on.. Many thanks
@@FixitwithFowler just tried espares but unfortunately it is not available. I entered the model number but it doesn’t recognise. My oven is like over 30 years old
@SeanDalton-pg9ue, that's strange. I have never come across one of those. It sounds like you need to take the back of the oven off. I take it the oven is a fan oven?

Great video! The doubt I have is, the heating element on my oven isn’t at the back but at the top. Would the procedure to change it be the similar to this?
Hi, yes the procedure will be the same but it will be easier!
I'm female and feeling brave to try this!
Hi, it is a straightforward process. Just order the element first so you can make sure it fits once the back is off the oven.
Don't make the mistake of buying an Amica oven. The screws to release the element are on the rear of the oven and you have to take the back off which is an absolute ball ache.
Sounds like it, did you manage to get a heating element for it?
@FixitwithFowler yep.
That's good advice steve we'll done
Very useful information

Hi, it could be a wiring problem, or even the wire has come off the element. Have you doule checked that the element is still connected?
To help prevent the two mains wires pulling back through the holes on the backplate, either use two small crocodile clips placed on each wire or two sprung clothes pegs.

Try espares, they are an on line company
@ Thanks, will try them. I tried NEFF but they said the heat element for my oven is obsolete.
@whoopdeedo7550 oh, that doesn't sound very good. You might have to get a universal one
@@FixitwithFowler just tried espares but unfortunately it is not available. I entered the model number but it doesn’t recognise. My oven is like over 30 years old
@whoopdeedo7550 looks like you might have to get a new oven
The element in my oven doesn’t have screws. Is it just a case of prising it off?
Unfortunately, i don't know without seeing it, sorry!
How do you remove element when screws are on the opposite side?
Hi, what do you mean on the opposite side
The screw head is on the opposite side, not inside the oven
@SeanDalton-pg9ue, that's strange. I have never come across one of those. It sounds like you need to take the back of the oven off. I take it the oven is a fan oven?
Ive got the back plate off and undone the screws on the element panel, but it seems likes its stuck to the back panel now!
Umm, is it the panel that's stuck?
I have an AEG Electrolux model number u3100-5-m...cant find the right part for it.
Hi, have you looked on Amazon
Thanks
No problem
Thanx!👍🏾
No problem, I hope the video was helpful
That's the convection element. Isn't there another one under the floor of the oven?
Not in a fan oven. There is only one at the back near the fan!
@@FixitwithFowler Thank you!
@stephenmoore7701 no problem 😊
