Tim Stamp Thanks so much for the unbelievably clear instructions. No mumbling, no sniffing, coughing, no ers or ums. Just plain language which even the most non-handy guy can understand.
This is brilliant. Thank you so very much. My oven has been out of action for a good couple of years, being on a budget and calling an electrician wasn't high on my list. After watching this a couple of times, I bought the part and followed your clear guidance and I now have a fully functioning oven! It took me a few minutes as the wires were a bit tight. I'm quite proud of myself and now I have a lot of cooking to catch up on!!
Breaking the habit of a lifetime and writing my first TH-cam comment to thank you for this! Oven is up and running again thanks to your great video. Thank you!
Thanks you. This video gave me every confidence that my suspicions were correct about what was wrong with my oven. Called your company and acquired the part for GBP 23.50 delivered. Took about 5 minutes to fit and we now have a fully functioning oven once more. You have saved me minimum GBP 50 for a callout plus part and to be honest I was one click away from ordering a new GBP 550 oven. Part was delivered in 3 days... spot on & thanks again.
I have no idea whether you'll see this.... But you are a complete star! I have never even changed a fuse before, but with your easy explanation, I thought I'd give it a go.... And it worked! Element changed, and boom.... Oven now fully working again :-) I am very happy!!!
Thank you very much for the help, I managed to fix our oven. I had to remove the back plate, because the connecting cables were only accessible from the back, it was a bit scary at first, but than it turned out to be almost child's play. I switched off all three fuses before getting to fix it, and this is my advice, don't forget to cut the electricity before starting the fix! :)
Guys, what can I say! Bought the part from you guys end of last week, arrived today. Watched this video you have done, fitted in 10mins. Absolutely fantastic stuff!! Thankyou!!
One word - brilliant. Followed this step by step instructions and replaced the element single handed. Not bad for a woman! No hefty call out charges for an electrician!
I fitted my Zanussi element with this guide. Very helpful. I used coloured clothes pegs to identify the wiring. I also used a very bright reading light. The first time I did it, the oven did not work. When I checked the wiring had come loose and had disappeared down the back of the oven. I had to pull oven out and rethread wires back in through fleece. The bright light helped with this. When I checked it the second time - still did not seem to be working until I realised I needed to reset the oven clock. Success!!. Felt so pleased. I had a working oven for Christmas. BTW I was very vigilant about removing oven fuse socket from fuse box when I was working on oven.
This was great thanks. Was quoted £89 for this to be done by a tradesman. Bought my element from Amazon for £12.99 and we did it ourselves after watching this. Thanks 😃
Great, thanks oven is working again, even changed the light globe, saved double what the parts cost, husband was most impressed when he arrived home, job done! shout you a pint sometime from Wendi in Tasmania
Thank you for this, one oven repaired. though you made it look really easy. Getting the 7 screws out took more blood, sweat and WD40 than I was expecting. But all done now and at a fraction of the cost of replacing the oven. Thank you
Thank you so much for your video. As a woman, I was really quite apprehensive to try and fix my oven. Yet felt confident after watching. I ordered the part from ebay, for less than £10. Then fitted it, without incident. Takes approximately 15 minutes, and saved myself over £100.
Great video - very clear and comprehensive. Fortunately for me my oven is a very similar model to that shown and this video gave me the confidence to buy a new heating element (not from Ransom, unfortunately) and replace it myself. The potato waffle I used to test the oven afterwards tasted fantastic - it tasted of saving a fortune by doing it myself!
Echoing all the grateful comments - thank you for such a helpful and informative video. Thanks to this, I bought a replacement Baumatic element from you and fitted it with no fuss a few minutes ago. Jobs like this are often easy when you know how, but can be daunting when there's no-one to explain the process to you. Thanks goodness for folk like Ransoms!
Thanks for the video. For those whose have older ovens, be careful when removing the spade clips. It was not as easy for me and I did need some pliers. Be careful to pull at the spade clip and not the wiring. Also re-wiring in exactly the same way is important as the fan oven will not start if you dont. I re-cliped them wrong on my first attempt!
I cannot thank you enough for this. It was easy to order the right element for my oven from Ransom, the video made it very straightforward indeed to replace - even though I was a bit nervous about breaking the cooker. Getting the door off - and on again was probably the most fiddly bit, but not that difficult. It snaps into place. Oven is working great and I am delighted to have saved us quite a bit of money. Thanks again !
thanks for this - really helpful. I have a Firenzi oven that stopped heating and following this tutorial I was able to replace the element. It was much more fiddly & tricky than you made it look though! The screws holding the plate in and the element to the oven were 'torx' star-shaped heads rather than standard hex-shaped alan-key-shape which meant a trip to the local Maplin for a new tool. Thanks again - v. grateful :)
Thanks for this video chaps. Your spare element was sent to me very quickly and the easy step by step video instructions meant I had the new element fitted in no time and my oven working like new again. Saved me well over £100! Thanks again, very much appreciated.
Thanks for posting this video. The element went in my oven and this was a massive help. I managed to fit the replacement with no problems after watching this.
Good informative video, after watching it, I managed to replace a faulty element within 15 minutes. It worth mentioning though, to replace the fixing screws at the same time, particularly with older ovens.
Thank you for making this video. Although my oven was clearly older, this video helped me swap out the blown element. Now I have a working oven again, for a fraction of the cost it would have been to repair it.
brilliant! This has saved me £100s calling out an engineer. Bought a new element for £12 and fitted it exactly like this video on my AEG oven. The wife loves me again.
Gave me confidence to do this myself and I’m NOT normally someone that tries to fix things myself. I’d consider this as easy as changing a light bulb now! Cheers!
excellent video - like the other poster i followed your instructions and had the oven up and working in no time, saving me about £100+ in electricians fees! thank you!! will def come to you for spares next time round too!
Oh, thanks for this, life saver;-) The hint how to remove the window is just priceless:-) I have a Mora 2300 type (purchased in Hungary) but is works almost the same as the oven in your video. Only difference is that I need to remove the back, because the heat element is secured with nuts only...
Thank you so much! This video gave me the confidence to tackle the element replacement in my Indesit oven and the job was done easily and very satisfactorily (and no doubt saved me a bob or two).
Great video and good advice thanks 🙏 I wasn’t sure how to release the metal clips from the element and didn’t want to be heavy handed and damage something. Good advice to take a photo too I marked the left cable with a sharpie. Removing the door was also a great shout and now my door closes better too🙌
This is an excellent teaching video for this type of problem. However, it might be a good idea (in fact probably crucial) to point out that, first, you should always disconnect from the power supply.
Stunning. That's even my oven! So I guess I can get this done really easily now. Oh, and expect an order very soon specifically because you've been so helpful.
Excellent informative video, I didn’t turn the power off, I’m still here to tell the story, it’s not like you’re actually touching the live wires. 10/10
Thanks for this video. Just remember to switch off from the main fuse box if you experience what I saw. I thought I switched the oven off from the main cooker switch, but still had some electric surprises when I pulled the heating element out. Scratched my head, then tried to go to my house's main switch box and located the one for the cookers. That stopped it.
Thanks; this is what I needed! Will be following this video instructions......saves call out fees, labour and parts cost! I will make sure safety comes first at all cost! But thank you for video!
Marvellous!. May be able to fix oven myself as little finances. Just need to find out where i turn off electric. I am not sure if switching the cooker switch off which is near the cooker or do you have to turn off completely from the main fuse box.
TIP... When you remove the old element and reveal the wires, bung a cork or similar into the hole(s). I hit upon this idea after one of the wires disappeared into the back of the oven after detaching and it was a pain to recover it. This will hold the wires in place for you to attach to the new element.
Does it matter which way round the spade connections from the oven go? I don't mean the sequence, but is there a front and back to the spade connections?
What do you do with elements that don't have screws attaching to the back plate? My Fagor seems to be riveted with no way of pulling it away to remove the wires an replace.
Hi great videos. I have a lacuno double oven . Have checked the fan element when in the oven , ..dead.! ( power going to each terminal on element )removed it from oven checked it with mains lead and works fine???? Any ideas ?
Thanks, Ive just replaced mine on a Kenwood double oven and you have to remove the oven and unscrew about 20odd screws just to access the two rear element screws. #.
Very good instruction video- thanks. My oven's grill is also not working (as well as the oven not heating up) - will this be an element problem or something else?
Oven turned off during roast dinner tonight. Had been working perfectly for an hour and a half then orange pilot light display panel went off and fan/oven stopped working. Do I need to change the element as you are showing?
I have a Curry's Essentials oven which takes about 20/30' to heat up where once it took 5'. Is that still a blown element? I can't see what to change as there is nothing at the back (as on your video) and just the grill element at the top .... as far as I can tell. Thanks for any info. Don in E Sussex
Thanks to this video I've successfully changed my heating element after 2 years without an oven 🙈 wish I could see the writing on the knobs mine have all worn away so not sure what each one is:/
i am not sure which way around the wires go on the element. is there any way to know which way they should be and what happens if i put them on the wrong way around.
my element is exactly like yours except my earth prong did not have a wire attached to it. i have taken the back off the oven and there is no earth wire spare. is this normal?
Just doing this on my De Longhi Oven. But the bit that you unscrew at 2:06 on my oven doesn't have any screws. There just seem to be some lumps where screws should be. I guess it could be screwed from the other side?
I've replaced the oven element with a new one but the back cover wont fit back on.. both elements are identical so im not sure why it wont fit. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Hey, how do I know which wire goes where? I have three, one a little bit shorter than the other two. I've tried a few different combinations and they all ended with a power outage. This is because I forgot to take a picture to see how they should be fitted... Silly me. Any suggestions would be fantastic. :) Cheers!
hi just replaced my element as shown ,thanks but as soon as i returned the power to the oven the element started heating, do you have any idea what would cause this
Tim Stamp Thanks so much for the unbelievably clear instructions. No mumbling, no sniffing, coughing, no ers or ums. Just plain language which even the most non-handy guy can understand.

Bought the eminent from you, watched the video and fixed the oven.
Thank you, my wife thinks I am a hero.

Used this today - 11 years on and doing us all a great service 👍👍
I actually fitted a new element bought from yourselves, followed this video, and it worked!! Many thanks. I would have got someone in otherwise.
Guys, what can I say! Bought the part from you guys end of last week, arrived today. Watched this video you have done, fitted in 10mins.

Thank you , because of your video I fixed my oven by changing heating element . Saved £75 call out

Great tutorial, thanks. Ordered the part from you guys and arrived in 2 days. Replaced it myself in about half an hour.
Brilliant, but remember to turn off the electricity supply on the cooker, at the cooker point and the fuse box if necessary!
No fucking shit sherlock
I appreciate the reminder as I was going to ask the question.
Thanks for this video chaps. Your spare element was sent to me very quickly and the easy step by step video instructions meant I had the new element fitted in no time and my oven working like new again. Saved me well over £100! Thanks again, very much appreciated.

Thank you so much for posting this. My first ever attempt at fixing anything was successful thanks to this video and saved me a lot of money
I like the way the oven is just sitting on a table, no mention of the fun bit 'taking it out of the housing unit'
Gave me confidence to do this myself and I’m NOT normally someone that tries to fix things myself. I’d consider this as easy as changing a light bulb now! Cheers!
Thank you ever so much for this video. I finally achieved something technical on my own. The wifey is happy 😊
excellent video - like the other poster i followed your instructions and had the oven up and working in no time, saving me about £100+ in electricians fees!
thank you!! will def come to you for spares next time round too!
Thanks for the video, plan to order parts soon, Just a quick reminder to disconnect the oven from the mains electricity supply first
Oh, thanks for this, life saver;-) The hint how to remove the window is just priceless:-) I have a Mora 2300 type (purchased in Hungary) but is works almost the same as the oven in your video. Only difference is that I need to remove the back, because the heat element is secured with nuts only...

Thank you so much! This video gave me the confidence to tackle the element replacement in my Indesit oven and the job was done easily and very satisfactorily (and no doubt saved me a bob or two).
Really good video. Well-presented and very clear and concise. Now to find the serial number before ordering the element.
Thank you saved me lots of money, buy doing it myself and not paying for some one else to do it.only tick a couple of minutes.verry easy to do
great resource, bought my part from you and followed video, fixed and cooking pizza in 5 mins. Thanks guys
Great video and good advice thanks 🙏 I wasn’t sure how to release the metal clips from the element and didn’t want to be heavy handed and damage something. Good advice to take a photo too I marked the left cable with a sharpie.
Removing the door was also a great shout and now my door closes better too🙌
Great video, after wrestling with some torx screw I followed your video to replace my Electrolux heating element successfully! Hot food again!
Cheers Ransom spares, just replaced mine and saved myself £80 :)
Excellent video, a much easier task than I had anticipated. Took me 5 minutes !
This is an excellent teaching video for this type of problem. However, it might be a good idea (in fact probably crucial) to point out that, first, you should always disconnect from the power supply.
Really clear video, definitely the best thank you for posting. Tomorrow mornings job now, wish me luck
Stunning. That's even my oven! So I guess I can get this done really easily now. Oh, and expect an order very soon specifically because you've been so helpful.
Kieran ... Go for it ... it really is a simple job to complete!!
Thank you for this, had someone quote me £20 to fit this, definitely £20 well saved
This just saved me from buying a whole new cooker! THANK YOU! 👌🏾
You have just saved my Xmas. Just fitted mine. Thank you!
Excellent informative video, I didn’t turn the power off, I’m still here to tell the story, it’s not like you’re actually touching the live wires.

excellent video, and excellent service on the replacement element - fast dispatch and best price too.
really easy to follow thank you. we will get our spares from Ransom as a thank you!
Thank you very much for taking the time to make this video. Very helpful. Thank you
Thanks for your to the point video. Wife can't buy a new oven now. Haha!
Superb, my element replacement arrives tomorrow and I shall crack on with it!
Great video thanks, would this be the same procedure for a Bosch Double Oven as top and bottom have both stopped getting hot?
Many thanks
Thank you for very much for this video guide. Easy to follow, clear instructions.
TIP... When you remove the old element and reveal the wires, bung a cork or similar into the hole(s). I hit upon this idea after one of the wires disappeared into the back of the oven after detaching and it was a pain to recover it. Very helpful video. Thanks very much for your clear and understandable instructions!
Does it matter which way round the spade connections from the oven go? I don't mean the sequence, but is there a front and back to the spade connections?
thanks your video saved me money on doing it myself
Thank you. Very simple but clear instructions. Hopefully it’ll be an easy job and will save me buying whole new range cooker!! 😊

Very good instruction video- thanks. My oven's grill is also not working (as well as the oven not heating up) - will this be an element problem or something else?
Great video, clear and concise. Many thanks 👍👍👍
@ransomspares Do all ovens have a earth wire for the element? Appears my nardi fea0614 doesn't. Cheers
Oven turned off during roast dinner tonight. Had been working perfectly for an hour and a half then orange pilot light display panel went off and fan/oven stopped working. Do I need to change the element as you are showing?

Thanks to this video I've successfully changed my heating element after 2 years without an oven 🙈 wish I could see the writing on the knobs mine have all worn away so not sure what each one is:/
Can you stick any element in a oven does it have to be the same watt ? I have an Electrolux oven but can’t find the same watt which is 2170 thanks
Cheers mate saved me loads of money and helped me out allot. Thanks for you video.
I own Kenmore Wall Unit Oven and wondering if you can demo how to take oven apart to get to the fan. Thanks Tom!
My oven seems to be discontinued. Any ideas if most elements are generic or do the sizes vary?
You saved me a small fortune!
Great video, helped give the confidence to tackle mine. 10 min job. Easy to do with this video to help.
How do you attach the wires that are inside the oven to the element?
i am not sure which way around the wires go on the element. is there any way to know which way they should be and what happens if i put them on the wrong way around.
My oven hinges can't be removed but each has 2 screws next to them. Can the door be removed? Thanks.
some people are mentioning turning the oven off! Presumably I can just switch the oven isolator off at the wall?
my element is exactly like yours except my earth prong did not have a wire attached to it. i have taken the back off the oven and there is no earth wire spare. is this normal?
just got my oven fixed for AUD270. If only I see this great video earlier then I could've safe my money :(
thank you...i was goin to be charged around 100£...watched this and got the element from ebay, 6.99£ an done it myself. thank you :D
michelle xx
Just doing this on my De Longhi Oven. But the bit that you unscrew at 2:06 on my oven doesn't have any screws. There just seem to be some lumps where screws should be. I guess it could be screwed from the other side?
How do you know what wattage of oven element to purchase?
