      Most likely they were on the power line. There can be a lot of such capacitors on the this line. This is normal.

    • @pldaniels
      @pldaniels 6 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      They provide general power rail decoupling. Without them present the operational envelope of the device may be reduced slightly but in practice it tends not to be too bad; this mostly is because typically when designing these circuits the creators will put quite a few of these decoupling caps across the board in many areas simply as a default behaviour as good preventative design.

    • @fixthisone
      @fixthisone 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      W Dora If they’re on the power rail it should be ok as long as the WiFi module doesn’t demand too much power at any point which could dip the voltage too low momentarily. If there is substantial noise on the line that the caps were filtering out it could cause issues down the line. Can’t really tell without long term testing but should be fine

    • @TheDivergentDrummer
      @TheDivergentDrummer 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pldaniels But in reality, any one of them could fail in a short condition, pulling the rail directly to GND.

    instead of removing the capacitor, why didn't you just replace the whole wifi module ? will it also work ? the process is also the same as trying the replace the Faulty NAND right ?

      the capacitor like filter.. am i correct?

    • @fixthisone
      @fixthisone 6 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      W Dora Capacitor is used to make sure the voltage going to the device has very little to no ripple on it (ac voltage) it’s only a “filter” in that it removes any and all ripple frequency (again imagine an ac voltage on the rail) the circuits in digital circuits like iPhones need really clean pure dc voltages to work properly. That’s what the capacitors do, they filter ac ripple and act as storage reservoirs that are constantly refreshed to provide a constant dc voltage to provide power to the circuit/s

When i cut only a little piece from other ICs they often stop working and the wifi ic will not get damaged by removing these two capacitors it seems a bit strange! I will look maybe i can find something how wifi ic is built up that makes it better understandable for me!! But like always great video!!!

    How temperature warning works on IPhone? I never encounter this issue before. It does shut down all the apps and can’t be use after this warning shows up? Does after cooldown with 0 app running? There is once I forgot to turn off my game, I left it in my pocket for an hour without notice. But when I turn on I still see my game running, I’m not sure if the temperature warning did or didn’t show up. My phone gets quite hot by doing that.

      same problem here.... Someone might need this.... I got the same error and when I turned off my wi-fi the issue is not occurring. May be my wifi component broken inside...

    to replace the bad resistor in it can cause damage more , because the beg of your soldering iron is big not small. if possible use a station with a smaller stub

      changing the ic would be rewriting the adress in nand ic; so you must remove nand ic too, write then put back. too much work
