For this conversion were looking to maximise the amount of space and height a Van could bring, while getting the smallest package available from the manufacturer. With a 129 wheelbase and being 92 inches tall. We also opted for a smart rearview mirror dash cam that can display and record Full HD video, while viewing the front and back of the van.
We integrated Tzalam wood to the counters, table and seats, which gives a flawless and glossy finish that instantly captures the eye. This gorgeous material completes the style of the van with a beautiful and clean look.
To have a safe cooking expirience we decided to add an induction stove that keeps the vehicle safe from propane exposure and reduces ambient heat while cooking, this build comes with a 3.3 feet and 110v fridge that also includes a freezer, both are secured with smart clips.
We take comfort very seriously, so we were delighted to follow the client's petition to make a very spacious and soft bed, mounted in a robust and solid structure that is also secured with slide locks that supports a double mattress of memory foam .
For ventilation we installed the Max air fan near the kitchen that has multiple vent speeds and it is able to pull air in or out at any time even in harsh weather conditions. We also installed a 5000 btu diesel heater, powered by a bidirectional remote that feeds from an adapted auxiliary port in the fuel tank.
We have not one but two 330w nominal solar panels in the roof which go through a EPEver MPPT charge controller into our 370Amp hour AGM battery system, this feeds a 1500w pure sine inverter that powers the fridge, air conditioner, and the electrical outlets.

Wow! You folks knocked this van conversion totally “out of the park.” Noted the use of 80/20, a decent size frig at a useable working height vs floor height. A large quantity of storage space/cabinets. The uniquely design Murphy bed with tables incorporated as well as a mind blowing solar system with expanding solar array. This build is something out of NASA for sure. Fantastic design coupled with unique imaginative concepts. Great job 👍👍👍🤯

Hi, so I saw that you had a maxxair fan with a polarity switch added to it. I’m guessing your fan stopped working as well? I did so, and it lasted for less than 24 hours before getting fried and thus me being without a fan.

I must have watched the part about the bed back about 50 times already and cannot figure out how the rotating mechanism is and how it is able to be held in place when in the bed position. I know you guys have made it open source which is a beautiful gift to us all, but are you able to explain better how the bed mechanism is set up ?
Hello and thanks for your interest, the bed rests on two angles that are held in the 80/20 vertical structure of the kitchen, that way if the van is not leveled you can rise them or lower them to do so.

i absolutely love your bed design and im trying to recreate it but im struggling with the gas stuts, im a little unsure where it is connected as unable to see on sketchup. May i ask what pressure they are and where it is connected??
(1st end, on the van/fixed bed frame that doesnt move?)
(2nd end, mounted on the swivel bracket or the bed frame that moves??)
Hello and sorry for the late reply, in that van they where located in the back of the bed, but are hard to install we moved to a better design where they are mounted on the front of the bed, you'll need two B95881 gas struts from Autozone (www.autozone.com/collision-body-parts-and-hardware/lift-support/p/mighty-lift-lift-support-b95881/618167_623187_0?searchText=B95881) and two sets of support brackets (www.autozone.com/collision-body-parts-and-hardware/lift-support-hardware/p/mighty-lift-ml3100-mounting-bracket-kit/123807_0_0) with the setscrews (www.autozone.com/collision-body-parts-and-hardware/lift-support-hardware/p/mighty-lift-ml3001-stud-kit/123804_0?rrec=true)

Hello and sorry for the late reply, there are 2 aluminum L brackets what attach to the 80/20 structure of the kitchen, that way if the van is no totally leveled you can level the bed to have a good night sleep!!

may i ask what size aluminium extrusion you used? i have had a look on your plans but no measurements or sizes, thank you.
40x40 it's how you will find it in stores, it's 40mm, if you take the measuring tape in the sketchup model you can measure this kind of things 👍
